Tommee Tippee Perfect Prep Day & Night Machine

Its a great concept and definitely helps get bottle to baby a lot faster than it would otherwise. It coukd be a lot betrer designed though. 120ml is rhe smallest amount it will make at the right temp which is a shame as i often want to make smaller top-up amounts. It isnt very accurate - pours more than it says it will - i have to use rthe ‘cancel’ button to stoo the flow earlier. The water sprays a bit iso i have to hiold the biottle up to the nozzle instead of leaving it on the stand. Even if it accurately lands in the bittle on the stand it will splash a lot and you end up with it covered in milk. But despite all this i still use it all the time, its fast and easy to use and great to be confident the milk is at a safe temp.

Cold running tap water ‘too hot’ for machine

I am very disappointed as it works so well WHEN it works. I live in Townsville, North Queensland. It is usually not below 30 degrees here unless it is Winter. To add to the stress of a crying newborn for a first time mother like myself who has recently weened her baby off of the breast for the promised convenience of this formula machine, the Perfect Prep machine DOES NOT WORK if the water inside the tank is too warm. Apparently my cold running tap water is hotter than 28 degrees as stated by this machine, presenting an error that the tank is too hot and does not function. This is very frustrating for myself, my husband and my baby as even topping the tank up from the tap at night leaves us with a screaming baby and scrambling to cool boiled water from the kettle as the machine simply does not function if it thinks it is too hot. Thankfully I will not be relying on this product during summer as it would not work. The manual enclosed says it will not work below 3 degrees or above 28 degrees however I believe this needs to be stated in bold on the product box to avoid people buying this product and wasting their money in warmer climates (like most of Australia at some point).

Genuine life saver when we came home from hospital

We bought this “just in case” before our son was born in August. The plan was to breastfeed exclusively, and that didn’t work for us. My poor baby way starving. “We’ll just give him a bottle”. It took FOREVER for us to boil and cook water while our tiny baby cried and cried. Then we remembered we bought the Perfect Prep. We got it out, set it up, and it changed our lives. I swear by this machine and I recommend it to literally everyone I talk to about baby stuff.

Great little machine

Been using this everyday for the last 4 months for formula fed LO. 3rd baby. Was doing the hot thermos/room temp water for last 2 LO. As this machine wasn’t around. Would recommend buying this machine. The machine is about the size of a shoe box Pro Easy to set up. Took about 10 minutes. Need to soak filter in water first, then run a cleaning cycle. Need to push one button 5 times to make a perfect temperature bottle. Adjustable bottle height tray to accommodate different bottles. (Been using medela & dr brown bottles with no problem) Can quickly do other tasks when the machine is making the bottle (eg prepare medication that needs to go in bottle or run to toilet) Great price on special found on CW website. CW currently don’t sell the filters. (Need to change every 3 months) cost for replacement filters $20 mark. We live in Melbourne and can have 4 seasons in one week! The machine won’t allow you to make a bottle if it overheats - which tends to do if the outside temperature over 25 degrees. The small display turns red and asks you to place cold water in the reservoir. You always need to keep cold water in the fridge with this machine for this reason. I was caught out a couple of times when it wouldn’t allow me to make a bottle. I didn’t have any cold water available. I tried to cool it down with ice once, but it took too long. When you put the cold water in the reservoir, the display turns back to blue to start. Great product would definitely recommend. Hopefully I’ve given you enough information to help you make an informed decision about if this is right for you.

Great machine for bottle feeding

The machine is a godsend for bottle feeding parents like us and wish I had it for my first child. It is rather easy to use pressing a few buttons and having the milk ready to feed the hungry baby in a couple of minutes. However it has some flaws - it is easy to press the buttons too quickly to the many and sometimes unnecessary instructions displayed and cancel the order accidentally. Also, The machine can make minimum 120ml of formula and mostly I only need half of if as I’m supplementing. Other than that it is such a useful tool.

I’ve had this since my first nearly two years ago

Absolutely amazing!!! Perfect for night time as it’s quiet and you get the PERFECT temp bottle every single time! So easy to use even nanny and poppy who’s in their 70’s can use it! Two button press and your done! Made night time a ease when your half asleep and drained! It’s like a baby coffee machine! I’ve recommended this product to all my mummy friends and my brother who’s recently just had a baby! I’ve just had my second a week ago and it’s absolutely amazing! Just like the first time use! Highly recommend!

Not customisable enough

Nearly a perfect machine however isn’t fully customisable for different sized bottles. The sizing starts at 120ml, increasing by 30ml increments (150,180,210) and so on up to 330ml. This isn’t great if you have formula that is 50ml water to a scoop of powder :( and when your baby is newborn and only having small bottles you can not make smaller than 120ml without having to stand by the machine and stop it manually or pour water out. Other than that it does what it says

Perfect for any new parent!!!

I legit bought myself one and my mates, they are worth every cent just to be able to handle those bad nights a little better. Super user friendly, and very quick. Only fault is it’s a little loud sometimes but compared to a baby crying constantly it’s perfectly fine. It’s a game changer!

This has been a life saver with a newborn!

I was recommended this from a friend. Honestly at first I thought oh no it's okay for the price I will just do it the old fashion way. So glad I didn't do that and I purchased this product. It is fantastic, the bottle is ready in literally 2 minutes and it's the perfect temperature. It has been so helpful not only in the middle of night feeds but as we are sleep training, it's great that the bottle can be made as my daughter wakes up and in 2 minutes so she doesn't become upset. The only one not so great thing is the minimum setting is 4ounces (120 mls) but we just tipped what water we didn't need. Was still a lifesaver and so worth buying this product.

Well Worth The Money $$

LOVE! LOVE! LOVE!! This machine! I wish we had it with our first bub. Saves you boiling the kettle and trying to heat a bottle at 2am. That sounds easy enough but with a screaming baby and a sleep deprived parent - not a fun time. Not to mention the overuse of our kettle killed it haha. This machine is honestly a lifesaver and I highly recommend it to everyone! Perfect too if you have other children in the house as it is fast, quiet and has a handy light on it for those 2am feeds.
