Universal Audio is known for their expert ability to digitally emulate analog gear, and the UAFX Ruby '63 is no exception, What makes it special is how scary accurate this sounds and feels like a VOX AC30 when plugged in direct. You have to play it to believe it.So, do yourself a favor and pick up a UAFX Ruby '63.
Yes, it's all there! U2/edge, chime me Celtic delay, riffs,, Brian, May and Rory, Gallagher, singing, crunch, shiny, clean, pick lines from The Beatles, REM, Tom Petty, the only thing I haven't tried is old Yardbirds style stuff. A lot of fun, very amp like and realistic.

Easy and intuitive interface means quick access to the important stuff- tone! It's everything I hoped for. Sparkle, chime and shimmer to that thrilling, throaty roar with just a twist of the guitar's volume knob.
This pedal is a game changer in my opinion. I actually have a 1960 VOX AC10 and I can honestly say the Ruby '63 is such an accurate modeller that it's hard to tell them apart sound wise. It even 'feels' right under the fingers! Super versatile in the ways it can be configured, the only thing I would say is that there is a lot to go through in all the various manuals and not everything is easily downloadable from the UA website. This isn't a problem if you're ok with getting the info you need 'on-screen' and saves paper I suppose, but this is just my observation and it doesn't detract from what is a fantastic piece of kit that delivers what it sets out to and is built like a tank! This gives me the sound and feel of my old AC10 (and much more) in a 'silent recording' ... MoreThis pedal is a game changer in my opinion.
