Bought mine two months ago and used it twice. Good job and with practice I will get better. Guide wheel good idea and centripetal line feed good innovation. Not suitable for a tall person. Battery easily lasted thirty minutes of continuous use. Line did not break a lot.

Trimmer works well, does my garden no probs. The 5amp hour battery that I got with the blower set is more than enough to do both jobs on 500sqm block. it’s quite frugal on trimmmer line too. The only issue I have is the cap for the line broke off and can’t be put back on. And I’ve tried to get a replacement but can’t find anywhere that has them. Which pretty poor. THATS WHY I GIVE IT A 3 ½ STARS.

I purchased this on the weekend and immediately returned it for another brand for $299. You honestly get what you pay for. I’m 6’4 and struggled - I felt like I was bent over the whole time. When cutting, I had to go over the same area multiple times.

A pair of kitchen scissors will cost you maybe $15. These will be just as effective and much cheaper.1. The telescopic handle, fully extended, requires me to stoop (I'm 5' 9") to use the thing.2. It is flimsy throughout. Just about gets through tall blades of grass. Anything else is a challenge.I wish I could return it. In fact, I think I will at least try....
Lightweight and easy to use, as a 5ft nothing lady the design is perfect and the battery lasts for ages.... however it is virtually useless for anything but the shortest and thinnest grass. Struggles to cut through any amount of thick grass and weeds, line is very thin and I have to feed more through every 5 mins which is highly annoying as it means having to stop start every meter or 2.I have tried persevering with it as I love the battery operated things (I am not supposed to use petrol operated things due to medical reasons) but honestly using a pair of good scissors would be more effective and quicker.Would be great for a kid that likes to "help" but for actually getting the job done in an efficient and effective manner it is useless. Very dissatisfied.
This unit is not as bad as a lot of other reviews make it seem. The main problem is the thin line that it comes with. The benefit of the thin line is that it gives a very clean and accurate finish which looks really good on yards that have already been regularly maintained. I found replacing it with a 2.7mm line gave it more power to get through thicker grass, buffalo runners and dirt but this will use up the battery faster. Edging function works nicely. Very lightweight but wish it was a bit longer for me as a 6'1 user.
We added this to our kit as we already had the battery & a few other Victa skins and have found battery power so much quicker & easier than petrol. This is a really well designed unit with fully adjustable, telescopic shaft and the trimmer head both tilts and rotates so the unit also doubles as an edger. It's better with lighter duties as it operates with just 1, thin filament at high RPM but is absolutely adequate for a domestic garden. A great price for a really well thought-out unit.
An excellent product that uses the same battery as my Victa mower. Long battery life and lightweight
Bought this after the line trimmer with plastic blades instead of a string caused me to throw away and start again. This unit is great (normal string) but the cap of the spool cover wears out and there is no replacement on the bunnings catalogue - the ones listed arent for this. So because of that I sort of wish I got the ozito or ryobi. They seem to have more replacement parts listed.
