Don’t be a victim of hype, beware of this rangefinder.Just recently returned from a Total Archery Challenge in Colorado, and only used this rangefinder for 4 whole targets.I had been using this unit from the time it was available online to now, multiple 3D events, hundreds of practice sessions.This rangefinder has ONE reticle option, the accuracy is very iffy and it’s too easy to change it to its “last” mode, which IMO is pretty useless, and to top things off, after burning 4 arrows on my first 4 very hittable not crazy up/down angled targets I figured out the angle compensation on this essentially brand new rangefinder had completely stopped working. I got this for a Christmas gift from my wife and daughter and just like the Diamondback binoculars, these have great glass, great low light transmission and build very durable. I like how I can adjust the brightness on the reading to account for background lighting.Keep up the great work Vortex.

Just upgraded my 5 year old Vortex rangefinder. I’d be lucky to get a reading beyond 400 yds. This is much improved. Ranged a hill by my house 900 yards in one sec. Like how numbers glow red so can see in low light and dark. Vortex stuff is top quality

I but this vortex Diamondback hd 2000 after reading many reviews. I ordered it on the cabelas website. Almost immediately after ordering i got the email saying it had already shipped. Very impressed. Once it arrived i was very happy with how simple it was to use & it was very fast & accurate. My old range finder was a Bushnell that i have used for 20 years. It was slow & very limited on range. So i was amazed at how fast & easy this vortex worked. It works through windows & has great range. Very happy with this product & vortex has an unbelievable warranty. How could I ask for better.
Already taken it out scouting, and it worked great. Feels rugged and tough, but is super light. The tripod adapter was very useful and helped get some practice doing farther ranges
I haven’t used it in the field yet. I have ranged a few targets around the house and it seems right on. I have other Vortex optics so I trust the quality. 4 stars for now until I can range long distance targets in the field.
I’d give it a zero really. Never read the same yardage at 60. Even at 20 it would get half yard difference and then at 60 it would be a yard to 2 yard difference. Hard to sight in my bow with it.
I’ve owned a few range finders in the last 30 years, but this one is so far the best one I’ve used. Extremely clear and the red display is way better than any I’ve ever used before. Great product from a great company that stands behind their products!
The display is awesome to see in daylight and even better in low light condition. I bought it for mainly archery hunting. It works great for rifle hunting even if it does range farther than I can shoot.
Nice ranger finder. It easily ranges out to 1000yards. The farthest I’ve tested it too and that’s ranging rocks. I had the vortex 1000 ranger finder and it ranged only to 500yrds. I was never able to get a straight range to 1000yrds I always had to walk half ways. This is really worth the price and you can beat the warranty.
