Fantastic griddle and the non-stick coating is great! My only complaint is that the cook surface is slightly rough which can make scraping somewhat tricky sometimes and the fact that you can't use metal spatulas on it. Other than that just use a hard heat resistant plastic spatula and you'll do fine. Easy to clean too

I just got this. The surface is rough. I made tilapia which I coated with olive oil and French toast. The food sticks to the grill. The instructions do not recommend seasoning or using oils or sprays. As recommended, each time I soaked it in warm water in a large sink and cleaned with a soft sponge scrubber/brush and dried it thoroughly before placing it back on the grill. Cleaning was not easy. Now there are some brown stains on the surface. I hope this isn't rust.

I was hesitant to purchase this griddle due to some reviews. I did an egg test and it stuck a little.Second egg test there was no sticking. I did let it get a little hotter the second time. It is an easy clean and happy I purchased it.

Fits perfectly (as it should) but really should be included with the original BBQ rather than the standard two grill plates and not be a $60+ accessory but then how would Weber make their money.As far as hot plates go it’s your standard hot plate. No fancy ceramic coating so you have to scrape it clean after use but it cooks perfectly and is worth the extra cost to make your Q2000 the perfect BBQ
The Weber Half Hotplate was mediocre at best. Was suppose to have a porcelain-enamel coating/finish but food somehow still stick to the plate after cooking, an extra effort is needed to thoroughly clean this plate. Food stains is still visible after cleaning. Disappointing considering the price of this plate.
This little griddle is money. Can slap six slices of bacon on it and have a decent morning. The extra grease goes through the slots and rolls down the side without trashing your BBQ. Clever design. Frying three or four eggs after the bacon is effortless. I’ll probably do it again tomorrow. The only problem with this griddle is the punishment it lays on my six-pack.
I am really enjoying the Weber 2000 … I use the grill for hotdogs and the griddle for steaks and hamburgers. In a matter of minutes we’re ready to eat. I’m still learning the heat controls and discovering to use on low settings. The 2000 is mobile and so easy to use, it’s perfect for the two of us ! The grill/griddle is generally cool enough in an hour to clean and store.
I bought this accessory to add a little flexibility to what I consider a fantastic BBQ. The product lives up to the Weber Brand of quality and is a great addition to what is already an excellent product. I bought the same accessory for a Baby Q which has been and is still used, creating cooking flexibility for many years of camping excursions
Bought 2 thinking I could turn the entire grill into a griddle only to find out that's not the case. Only reason for 4 stars instead of 5. Luckily the Q has enough power you can keep on cooking when you have a large group camping. The drain design is well thought out. (Just keep an eye out for solid particles blocking them) All in all it works good and rarely gets removed and replaced with the grate.
I like the griddle, but the surface still needs a bit of conditioning. My only real beef with Weber is that I bought 2 griddles to cover the entire surface and was not warned that I would extinguish the flame by putting 2 griddle surfaces on the BBQ. I guess I have a backup.
