High Quality, Value for Money. Slivered almonds are a staple in my pantry and most often appear in my Asian-inspired wombok (Chinese cabbage) salad. In terms of price, quality and value for money, you can’t go past this product! At $4 for a 120g pack ($33. 33 per kilogram) these almonds are far cheaper than Sunbeam almonds at $5 for a 100g pack ($50. 00 per kilogram). These slivered almonds will continue to be added to my shopping trolley.

Delightful. To be honest, I have never heard of 'slivered almonds' prior to this so I had no expectations. Product was difficult to find. I thought it'd be amongst the nuts section. I was ready to give up but I finally stumbled upon them in the bakery aisle. I do not usually like almonds but these were surprisingly delicious! Are slivered almonds usually blanched? I love that they are because it removes the rough texture the skin usually adds to the almonds. There was a nice crunch to the almonds and you could really taste the natural, sweet almond flavour. The only suggestion I have is that these almonds should be roasted to increase the crunch! The almonds tasted wonderful in all these instances but particularly nice in the stir fry (roasted almonds beforehand, added to diced meat, corn, peas and capsicum)! Awesome that they were also 100% Australian. The main reason why I deducted a star was because of the price! Given regular almonds can be purchased for $16/kg, this product is a bit pricey. Understand that additional manufacturing procedures go into blanching and slivering the almonds, but I don't think it justifies the price of $33/kg. However, did notice that it was the cheapest of its kind. Overall, great, high quality product. If I ever needed slivered almonds, would definitely consider this. Edit: Used the slivered almonds on my pasta. Delicious!

Unbelievably good in baking: the crunch factor. I have used this product as well as several other Woolworth's branded nut products (cashews, macadamias, pine--nuts) in my baking. This product in particular is one of my staples. It provides the delicate 'crunch-factor' that is important when creating and contrasting texture in cakes and breads. It tastes beautifully fresh, has that slight bit of crunch, and is perfectly preserved in its packaging. The price is good in comparison to other major brands. I really like the versatility when it comes to using this product: from a topping for porridge, to yoghurt, to topping my signature banana breads--this product does it all!In this recipe, substitute the cashew topping with silvered almonds in this blueberry banana ... MoreUnbelievably good in baking: the crunch factor. Nuts for these almonds. Fresh, crunchy and a lovely crisp almond aroma when I opened the packet. They are all a good slivered size. 100% Australian almonds makes me so happy and makes me want to purchase again and again. I fel you can taste the freshness in these compared to other well known brands. I also noticed there is no almond skin on these slivered almonds compared to other well known brands the Woolworths ones are totally clean, making it ideal if they are being used for a cake or other visually important dish. We enjoyed them in chicken and celery sandwiches, tossed with brussel sprouts and mixed through a garden salad. Id also love to see them sold in a bigger weight category as well as the 120gr for those that use them regularly and alot of them. At $4 for 120gr they are certainly a reasonable price. Will continue to purchase these solely as they are 100% Australian.

Aussie almonds! Thanks for my amazing almond sample, Woolies. I've never bought slivered nuts before, so was happy to try this terrific treat. The beautiful almonds have a lovely crunch and a fantastic flavour. They're fresh, smooth, and deliciously creamy in taste. I used my almonds as a topping on @bunchagrapes's moist banana bread. The nuts baked beautifully, and had a very appealing golden colour after roasting to perfection. They didn't burn. I also sprinkled the slivered almonds on some vanilla yoghurt and fresh fruit. My afternoon snack was berry nice. The serving suggestion on the packet recommends that you toss the almonds through your favourite salad - so refreshing and yummy! The clear window allows you to see the tasty almond bits inside. The slivers are convenient and perfect in size - there's no need for chopping, crushing or making a mess. The Aussie almonds are a great source of fibre and protein. With no artificial colours, flavours or preservatives, they have a befitting 5-star health star rating on proud display. These slivered almonds cost $4. 00 for the 120g pack. At $33. 33 per kilo, they offer much better value than most alternatives produced by the leading brands. I'll definitely buy them for all my baking needs. Try these delicious Aussie almonds... they're very nut-ritious!

Crunchy Addition to my Cooking. I adore almonds of all kinds and was super happy to get this bunch sample, especially as I usually don't buy slivered almonds for myself. On a whim, I just added a handful to the pan and within a minute they took on all the flavours of the broccoli, garlic and olive oil. Usually, I'd roast them in the pan first for extra crunch but in all honesty, it wasn't necessary. The almonds turned out very crunchy and tasted fresh. I can imagine they would compliment a whole bunch of different dishes, cakes and desserts or would make for a tasty little snack.

Fresh, Versatile & An Australian Product - Go You Good Thing. This product was easy to find in the Nuts & Snacks aisle and the clear window of the packaging allowed me to see the product. I thought the design of the packaging was easy to understand however I almost picked up the same brand Pine Nuts by mistake because the packaging colours were similar. The Slivered Almonds smelled beautiful when first opened and tasted crunchy and fresh. The product gets 5 stars for its taste, price, versatility and being an Australian product. Thank you WW for the sample and I will be buying the product again, for sure!

Perfect, convenient and versatile. Excellent product! These are so versatile and can be added to so many dishes, recipes or added as a final sprinkle on top. I use them in biscuits and slices, in my morning cereal, added to salads, rice dishes like pilaf, sprinkled on stir fries or part of dessert like the pictured apple and berry crumble. They are a product of Australia with a 5 star health rating. Packet has a clear window so you can see the product. 100% almonds with nothing added!

Mighty topper for salads, yoghurt, cake, biscuits! I absolutely love getting so many cheese and nut samples from bunch, they're two of my favourite things! So I was very pleased to be offered this one as well. Was delighted that the almonds are 100% Australian. Liked the simplicity of the packaging. The 120g size is helpful as this is something you'd most likely use in smaller amounts compared to big bags of nuts. I buy large bags of almonds to snack on and although they're more budget friendly compared to these slivered ones at $33. 33 a kilo, you won't find cheaper slivered almonds on the shelves. I would buy these again if needed for a specific recipe, otherwise I'd stick to my big bag of whole almonds for budget reasons.

I guess I'm used to eating almonds with the skin on. I was a little disappointed with these as the flavour was so subtle. Having them peeled and pre-cut is certainly a huge bonus if you plan to use them in cooking, meals, baking etc. I was happy to pay $4 for the amount of time I saved not having to blanch or cut them. We had some muesli that was a little boring, so my family chopped up some dried fruit and threw that into the muesli along with pepitas, shredded coconut, the slivered almonds and some chopped dates. The almonds added a nice crunch to the muesli but we couldn't really taste them mixed in with everything else. The packet offers a suggestion of adding the almonds to a chicken (or other) salad. Sounds very nice! Might try that later this week. Thinking about toasting them a little first to enhance the nut flavourOverall: Very happy with the quality and price. Would purchase again for baking or cooking, not for nibbling on.
