Xiaomi Mi Mop 2 Ultra Robot Vacuum Cleaner - Black

I love this robot vacuum. I was really worried it wasn't going to do a very good job but it's actually really good and I've found I haven't had to use my Dyson unless I'm doing a quick vacuum in one spot or around something. I can set it to vacuum in the morning when I'm getting kids ready for school and then leave the house while it's still going. The mopping side of it isn't amazing but it still does an alright job.

I did a lot of research before purchasing this vacuum and mop and found this one to be the best value for money. I wasn't sure I wanted to commit to the space the auto empty station would take up, so didn't purchase that, but feels good to know that it is an option with this one. As a mom with 2 kids and 3 dogs, it has been such a treat to have these chores taken off my to-do list!I bought the Mop2 over Queens Birthday and have been using it almost daily ever since.The Mop2 was super simple to set-up in the Xiaomi Home App, I mapped upstairs and downstairs and use the machine on both floors (I had to do it twice as my maps disappeared after the first week but that hasn't happened again in the last 3 weeks).I have longish hair which gets tangled up in the brush ... MoreI did a lot of research before purchasing this vacuum and mop and found this one to be the best value for money. It's pretty easy to empty the bin and wipe the machine down each week.We have a 4 bedroom house, I use it across the whole house and the battery lasts nicely, even when I use the vacuum on Turbo mode.I actually put it on downstairs last night when we went upstairs to bed, I put it on silent mode but thought that it sounded the same as the standard vacuum mode, but it didn't bother the kids as they fell asleep with it still running.Something to keep in mind is that it cannot detect carpets, so when Mopping, if you have any area rugs, you just set a 'no mop zone' for there and then when the mop is attached, it won't mop that area, but will vacuum it when when the mop is removed.You need to remove the mop when it is done, I always do this as we have laminate floors downstairs and I don't want the wet mop sitting on my floor. The app notifies you when it is done and reminds you to remove the mop.It's pretty cool to switch it on while you are away from home, you can monitor the vacuum's progress real-time which is a nice 'party-trick'!

Vacuuming is brilliant. My house is a 4 bdrm 130 sqr mtr house, and it has enough battery power to do the whole house.The mopping portion is a 3 out of 5. It wets the floor and mops a bit, but not very thoroughly. I guess the idea is you mop once or twice a week to keep things clean.Setup was a breeze, and the app is easy to use.However, I have had this now for a few weeks, and the bot tends to loose it's map bearings, and it is a bit of an issue to get it to reset and bring the original house map back up.I think I figured out the base was getting moved when it would vacuum around it, and that wasn't helping. It is still a bit touchy though.On the whole, I bought it for my mother to use, and it saves a lot of work once you get the kinks ironed out. Only gets 4 ... MoreVacuuming is brilliant. Got it for a very good price. Does its job perfectly, App takes a little bit of getting used to but has so many good useful features.
