Good hammer except for the side nail puller does not work at all. Was the only reason why I bought this hammer. Swings well

Estwing is like the ol grandpa of hammers. Estwing Manufacturing was founded in Rockford, Illinois by Ernest Estwing in 1923. He patented the one-piece solid steel forging for hammers and axes, which became the hallmark of Estwing tools. Their earlier hammers featured the iconic leather grip and can still be found in tool boxes today. They’re expensive but worth every penny. You’ll never need another hammer and they are contractor rated.

Claw is too narrow, can't grab nail head for removal. Will exchange, or return.
Great product……………………………………………………………………………………………..
Good Hammer for the price, I’ve had it about a month now and it’s been used every day. No complaints with it. The black paint does come off but that’s to be expected when being used
Great framing hammer for a good price. Side puller is very handy and handle is comfortable
Although only 19 ounces, it feels like it hits much harder. Nice balance and swings great. Face is a bit small but overall is a great framing hammer. Highly recomend for anything but finish work. Get the smooth face version for that
Very nice hammer, my co workers think its a little unbalanced but I really like it.Dont expect the black paint to stay in the head for very long if you are using well.I work in concrete so it goes through a lot and is holding up really well.
