I really enjoy this line of color for fashion colors/vivids. They have a great selection of colors including pastels and neons and they have the options of either a semi permanent or demi permanent for I think every shade (or close to it) we don't use this line at work but for my own hair at home , Matrix SoColor and Arctic Fox are my 2 favorites when I want to spice my ombre up with some cool fashion colors. Actually on the deciding process of what to do next. One note with the demi permanents, there are a few colors I have used that when mixed with the developer turned into some wild shade that looked nothing like what the box/swatch would make u think it was but don't be scared because it looks like a wildly different color (example- the "teal" color turned into ... So don't panic, it must just be some weird little reaction it has haha The photo/video I've included are of myself when I had decided to kick up my ombre with some bright green. I used the shades Emerald Green, their Neon Green and Duck Yellow I think it's called ?! And blended them downward from darkest to lightest (on prelightened hair of course) I LOVED the results . The vibrant greens looked amazing in contrast with my black hair and I received so many compliments on this color. Thinking of doing it again soon ❤️... Show more

I have used Matrix since I started my career in the beauty / hair industry and it has never let me down! Time after time I get beautiful, natural looking results that my clients love and come back for time and time again! They have so many different branches of their color line. Blended, extra coverage for greys, semis, demis, toners - everything! Always recommend to fellow stylist! Love!!!! If your client is grey and complains about their color fading fast or just not covering the way they want then I recommend checking it Matrix. It is formulated with double the dye load to really pack a punch and give the pigment something to hang onto for color longevity! Give it a try professionals - you won’t be disappointed !!!... I LOVE this hair color. I have been dying my hair (at home) red for about a year now and I just recently found out about this product. I am so happy I did! I purchased the colors 6rv, 5vr, and SORED RV. I used the 6rv with 20 volume developer on my roots and about 3 inches down. Then I mixed the 5vr with the SORED and 30 volume developer on the midlengths and ends. I let it sit for about 30 minutes and rinsed out. I am extremely happy with the results. I read that the SORED can be used as a color booster to intensify the colors. It can also be used by itself to highlight. I found that it is best used alone. Then again, I didn't mix a ton of it with my initial formula (I used 1 oz of the 5vr and 1/4 oz SORED). I wanted there to be a bit more contrast on my ends so I ... MoreI LOVE this hair color. I wanted there to be a bit more contrast on my ends so I mixed it by itself with 30 volume developer and the color on my ends looks fantastic. It is a very deep violet red and it looks beautiful with the other colors.I am a natural level 4 or 5 with some gray hairs and this stuff worked wonders for me. So far, it has lasted and still looks fresh and beautiful! I will update my review if it fades quickly but I don't see that happening. My hair has a very healthy radiance to it and I am so in love with the colors. The only "not so good" thing about this product is the availability of it. I purchased on Ebay because it is difficult to find elsewhere and I don't have a cosmetology license. But I can't really take a star off for that because I am not a licensed hairdresser a it was made for professional use.Overall a very good product for red color. I know they have various color lines and I am hoping to try more of them! I recommend this product if you typically dye your hair at home and have a basic understanding of the process. :)... Best dye ever
This worked quality love it the results and outcome. Didn’t quite need two containers of 3oz it’s a lot of dye unless hair is really long. I thought I would need more because I have thick hair I was wrong. Matrix developer 20 worked really well with this dye. However I was darkening not lifting.... Show more

Counterfeit product?
I am concerned about this product being of a fraudulent nature. While the tubes I ordered from the seller MakeupTrading (based out of California) are unopened and appear legit at first glance, I know that all professional hair care products have serial numbers and/or dye lots and the two tubes I ordered from this sellers have this number blacked out with some sort of marker or paint. Secondly, legit Matrix products always list the ingredients of their product. The two tubes I purchased are missing this information entirely. I attached photos to compare the two tubes I just purchased (on the left) to a tube I already had in my possession (on the right). I am beyond nervous about using this product on my scalp and will be investigating further. Buyers beware!... Show more

Doesnt cover well. Barely detect any ash tone
The vendor shipped the product quickly. Much better than the other vendor that I would buy haircolor from. The downside is the color does not set in very well. The Ash color wasnt strong enough to see over med copper/red tone base (my true hair tone)I dont recommend. Love the vendor shipping time tho...... Show more

Great, consistent product!
This is the only hair color I use. I need something consistent that will really cover the gray. My hair is so grey that it has lost all pigment so hair dye can be challenging. This product always gives me great results.... Show more

Great product
Worked well. I have been using my own home color and bleaching first and it was really damaging my hair. So I was looking for some thing that would give me high lift to try to keep my light ash blonde and although not perfect, it’s really good, my color looks acceptable as I try to let my hair repair I used it with a simple 40 developer that I got from Sally beauty supply. I only used half the bottle so I have more for next time. It is a lifesaver for my damaged hair.... Show more

Would buy again
Used with developer for 50 mins on bleached blonde hair. Colored the bleached blonde to a more pleasing shade. The head is more brassy than the lower strands and I am personally not achieving an ashly look - def more golden due to the bleach beforehand. After the 50 mins were up, I had difficulty rinsing out of my hair and had to shampoo the product out. I would buy again.... Show more
