7artisans 50mm f/1.8 to f/16 Lens For M43 (Panasonic Olympus)
The 50mm f/1.8 Lens from 7artisans is a versatile optic designed for Fujifilm X-mount mirrorless cameras, characterized by its compact size and suitability for portrait photography. With a maximum aperture of f/1.8, this lens offers an excellent combination of portability and speed, making it ideal for daily use. To enhance image quality, a multi-layer coating has been applied to minimize ghosting and flare, thereby achieving improved contrast and color accuracy, particularly in challenging lighting situations and backlit environments. The manual focus mechanism allows for close-up work with subjects positioned as near as 1.6 feet, while its 12-blade diaphragm contributes to a pleasing, rounded bokeh effect. Portrait-length prime is designed for APS-C-format Fujifilm X-mount mirrorless cameras and offers a 75mm equivalent focal length. Bright f/1.8 maximum aperture benefits working with shallow depth of field and selective focus techniques, and also suits photographing in low-light conditions. Multi-layer coating has been applied to individual elements and reduces flare and ghosting in order to produce greater contrast and color accuracy when working in strong lighting conditions. Manual focus design permits working with subjects as close as 1.6'. Depth of field and distance scales aid pre-focusing and zone focusing techniques. Rounded 12-blade diaphragm contributes to a pleasing bokeh quality.

7artisans range of lenses are a boon for the budget conscious photographer with very little money to spend on exotic lenses, or lenses for a one off job / project .... 7artisans didn't disappoint this time. A 5* lens on a one star budget .

Does what it says. You do have to use a certain setting on your camera for it to work. On mine it is called Shoot Without Lens. Then all is well.

For $89, you get what you pay for. The good: It's a small very inexpensive 100mm equivalent lens for Micro Four Thirds cameras. The bad: It's poorly calibrated. Yukosteel explains the issue better than I can, but the back three elements are out of alignment (in both lenses that I got and the lens Yukosteel got); this results in it being less sharp when in focus, as well as, when out of focus, having the blur be off-center. I will include samples from both lenses I got; one lens is pretty badly misaligned with bokeh pointed to the top left; the other one is slightly mis-aligned with the bokeh pointing down. Now, it is possible to repair this by hand if you're the kind of person who doesn't mind opening up a lens multiple times until the calibration is just right. ... MoreFor $89, you get what you pay for. In my case, I think I will keep the one only slightly mis-aligned and exchange the other one, hopefully for one with better alignment.
I don't use it as much as I thought I would. Traded it for a zoom lens for versatility
Sharper than I thought.Like the speed of this lens.An Olympus or LUMIX//Leica Prime will beat it in sharpness but not on price.Buy one and play!I have and like their fish-eye for mft cameras.
