Alessi Il Conico Kettle

Attractive kettle. I wanted a minimalist kettle that visually stands out, and this is exactly it. That handle is uninsulated, but the kettle seems to have enough thermal mass that the handle doesn’t get hot unless you make a number of back-to-back batches of hot water. The only downside is no whistle, although you can still hear (and see) the water approach boiling.

Aldo Rossi Water Kettle

I couldn't agree more with all the reviews calling this a work of art - it is a stunner. One review, however, states that the handle stays cool. Not mine. Don't try to pick this up without adequate protection for your hand. Wrapping a thick cloth or oven mitt on the handle somewhat diminishes the beauty of the pour. Would I buy it again ? Yes.

Alessi Conico Kettle

This is a very smart looking kettle which boils water effectively. I have not had the problems with the handle which have been documented elsewhere. The 2 downsides are that it gets dirty/ smears easily and that it must be watched as it can be difficult to tell when it boils.

Beautiful Teapot with a Flaw

I love the Alessi Tea Kettle. It's absolutely beautiful and it becomes a focal point in the kitchen. I would prefer that it made a bit of noise when it boiled but that's not a problem. What is a problem is that the handle gets way too hot to hold.

Bold and Efficient Design

This teapot has a bold and striking design which is very complementary to a modern kitchen, since its normal resting place is on the stove. It's pointed shape places the spout well inside the diameter of the pot which makes it easy to insert a chef's thermometer for precise heating of water used for green tea. Its wide base catches all of the heat source for quick and efficient heating. It is expensive, but you get what you pay for. The only downside is a metal handle, but at least it is obvious that you need a potholder to use it.

Contemporary Teakettle

I purchased this tea kettle for it's wonderful design features. We just remodeled our kitchen with black/grey/stainless color template and when I saw this tea kettle, no question, but I had to have it. It was just perfect to set off the coloring in our kitchen. In addition, our kitchen colors help the tea kettle to exhibit it's wonderful shape and stainless steel color creating a bold statement, there are alot of WOWs when people see it! In addition, it boils water quickly and sounds it's familiar whistle when boiling. We love it.

Could be better for the price

Avant- grade design, and looks amazing on my stovetop. But handle gets very hot and you must wear a mitt to pour. More aesthetic than practical.

I can't believe how lucky I am

I can't believe I was lucky enough to find this online. It's incredibly beautiful, well-made, and functional. I know it's expensive, but I gave it to my husband as a gift for our new kitchen. He was almost as happy as if he would be using it himself. Pros: Great design, functionalCons: I can't think of a thing

Reminds me of Alice in wonderland

The coolest teapot ever . Looks perfect into Italian style kitchen . Expensive but worth it. It doesn't whistle though. Some say the handle gets hot it doesn't if you turn of the eye when it begins to boil
