This is our second d5 skillet. The coating on the first one came off after a few years. So it's April 2023 and the second one is peeling off. We usually wash it by hand with nothing abrasive. Easter weekend we ran it through the dishwasher and the coating bubbled up and came off. This expensive product does not hold up well.

You can feel how heavy duty this thing is when you first put it in your hands! The nonstick coating on it is above and beyond any other pan I’ve used. I can make omelets easily without any butter or oil. The cooking surface heats up perfectly even and you are guaranteed an perfectly evenly cooked meal. All-Clad really knows how to deliver quality products!

I could definitely tell right out of the box that this pan is of high quality materials. This pan makes for easy cooking without worrying about my food sticking or uneven burning and is great for an even easier clean up! My fried eggs turn out perfect every time! I like that this pan is light weight with a sturdy handle and it is very esthetically pleasing. I can't wait to own more items from this company. I will definitely recommend this pan with matching lid to anyone who loves to cook homemade meals!

Okay, so I definitely was not expecting it to be the size that it is. Maybe that's just my lack of recognizing sizes without it being in front if me, haha! As you can see in the picture, it is about the size of my hand. Now, so that you can imagine; I'm 5'2 and roughly 120lb, so I'm a rather petite woman. Anywho, aside from that, it's a very heavy pan. Definitely seems like it is going to hold up for a while as far as durability. It is nonstick and the nonstick works really well so far! The only thing I wish I could change is that the handle is metal, I wish it had a silicone gripper or something on it as it is a bit uncomfortable when holding if I need to drain something. But, all in all, I like the pan so far!
You would think a company such as All-Clad would stand behind their product and do the right thing by a customer, but this was not the case for me. I paid high dollar for this All-Clad non-stick skillet. I am an experienced cook with years in the kitchen. And, I don't mind paying for a quality product. But this pan lost its non-stick property in a little over a year, which is unacceptable. I never used it over a medium heat setting. I washed by hand, as I do all of my pans. I did not use scouring pads or harsh chemicals. I only used silicone utensils. When it lost its non-stickiness, I sent it in to be replaced under the All-Clad warranty. Claim was denied due to what they suggested was use on a high heat setting. I bought this nonstick 8" All-Clad d5 fry pan to accompany the 10 piece All-Clad d5 set I bought. I love this pan! It is perfect for small jobs where a non stick surface works best. It cleans easily, heats evenly and is beautifully made. A smart addition to any cook set.
Wow, this pan is well made. I was getting tired of buying two or more frying pans a year. This pan is of great quality, heavy, heats fast, has beautiful finishes, and distributes heat evenly. I use it to make breakfast, eggs don't stick to it and they cook very quickly. I also used it to make crepes, and it's perfect for that! Crepes burn quickly and if you don't have the right pan that disturbs heat and keeps the heat your crepes do not come out well. This pan exceeds my expectations. I'm looking forward to purchasing their other cookware.

I have used this frying pan every single day. My boyfriend and I love to cook and we appreciate a pan that's easy to use and clean. The size is exactly what I was looking for. For a single person or two people it is the perfect pan to cook with. I love the style and the stainless steel. It's pretty heavy for a small pan but that's because it is durable material. This pan will last a long time. I definitely recommend this non stick frying pan.
I love cooking. And I love decent cookware. It took some research and some brick-and-mortar store visits to decide to lay down the money for this pan. I can't be happier with it. All great pieces of cookware, but this pan blows them away. It's heavy, and due to that, it heats incredibly well, evenly, and retains heat. I'm happy with the entire D5 line, but if you want a nonstick pan, this is what you want. I've cooked eggs, cheese, meat, garlic, butter, oils, etc., and this pan looks immaculate after cooking and washing. Nothing sticks to it.Treat it well, and the investment is very much worth it. I have zero regrets purchasing this pan.
