I absolutely love this Amazon product. Itâs super cool and fun to mess around with. It has a bunch of neat little features! For starters, itâs quite a bit bigger than I expected, which is a good thing! Itâs perfect size to actually enjoy what youâre doing on it. The screen is large enough to comfortably watch movies, play videos, video chat, etc.. the actually Alexa/speaker is also quite large and sounds great as far as audio goes. It doesnât sound muffled and actually has pretty good bass to it. I love watching my regular shows on it. I like that screen goes all the way 360 degrees and can follow you if you want. I personally doesnât use the follow feature because it is slightly off due to the camera being on the right side and not centered. So with that being ... MoreI absolutely love this Amazon product. I personally doesnât use the follow feature because it is slightly off due to the camera being on the right side and not centered. So with that being said, it doesnât look straight at you when it follows, which is a bit annoying. I tend to turn the camera off - close it with the little close feature. That feature is pretty neat for those not comfortable with it being open/on. Something else that is a bit annoying would be the fact that Alexa canât answer a lot of things you ask her. She tends to say something about not knowing the answer to it. It would be cool if she could have casual conversation with you. She sort of can as far as good morning, thank you, goodnight and stuff like that goes. There are also other cool features such as the weather, alarms, reminders, display settings, and so on. I like that it can be used with smart plugs and turn on/off lights, cameras, fans, and really anything electrical. You can also use it as a security thing when away so you can see your home (whatever room itâs in). There are definitely a few flaws and things that can be improved, but overall I really enjoy using it. I looks very nice and super fun to use. My mom calls it âboujeeâ - HA!

I have and love and use an Echo Show 5, so when I had the opportunity to pick up the Amazon Echo Show 10 | HD smart display with motion and Alexa I did not hesitate. The good news is everything I love about the Echo 5 is here, but in a larger, more functional, and better sounding design. Having a smart home already built upon Alexa, the Echo 10 was seamlessly integrated into the family of devices. Music, dinner alerts, and device controls can be made from any of the units, making control simple, convenient, and energy efficient. After our first Echo, we bought our parents the 8 for Christmas (they loving it as we do), so communication is fun and simple, especially during times of quarantines and social distancing. After our first Echo, we bought our parents the 8 for Christmas (they loving it as we do), so communication is fun and simple, especially during times of quarantines and social distancing. The grandparent and grandkids owe much of their relationships the past year to devices Iâm such as the Echo. Again, itâs easy to set up, especially if you already have the Alexa app, as we do. Light and cameras go into different zones or rooms, grouped so they are easily and quickly controlled. Too, it integrates perfectly with my non Amazon smart devices (such as my doorbell camera), so I donât have to juggle multiple apps. My doorbell cam displays perfectly on my Echo 10, for example. I decided to place the Echo Show 10 in the kitchen, thinking mostly that the video and hands free operation would be most useful where the food is being prepped, and itâs perfect for us there. No more do we have to touch our phone to see a recipes, touch food, forget a step, was our hands and reawaken our phone (over and over). Now the recipe is constantly available visually on the Echo Show, and Alexa and help answer any question like âAlexa how much salt did you say I need,â with the convenience I have when my mother in-law is actually with me in the kitchen. To the Smart Display with motion will actually follow you around as you move about (a function that you can turn off with the flip of a switch, if youâre concerned about privacy.) This feature is particularly useful during online virtual meetings as you arenât tethered in one spot, but can instead multitask while meeting with work or friends. The speaker is obviously much larger than what was in the Echo Show 5, and while I was happy with the previous versions sound quality, the Echo Show 10 is vastly better, offering deeper, filler sound, and louder too. Itâs fun to follow along with the lyrics of sounds on the screen, and adjusting the volume is as easy as telling Alexa, âsound up,â or âvolume 4,â or whatever. Sheâs a very clever girl, this Alexa. Other things I love and use constantly are weather reports, alarms, and photos reels. And really Iâm just scratching the surface, as the Amazon Echo Show 10 seems to be endlessly functionable. I obviously recommend, and am excited to see what Amazon comes up with next to improve and simplify my life!

The echo show 8 got my 5-star rating and I have one in each bedroom at home. The echo show 10 goes in the kitchen. But although it has a bigger screen and bigger speaker, it doesnât live up to its design and potential. The motion is choppy and the screen following is poor. You can ask âAlexa, motion offâ; and it would reply âmotion is now offâ but the screen would still move. Repeat this about 4-5 times and motion MAY really be off. Screen following is the same way. Wake word sensitivity is poor. Sometimes you have to shout at it to wake it. This is opposite of the 8, which you can whisper to it and it would whisper back Often I would say âAlexaâ in the kitchen and the ones in the bedrooms would answer instead. prompting me to have to change the wake word for the ... MoreThe echo show 8 got my 5-star rating and I have one in each bedroom at home. This creates another small problem, I have to remember to say âEchoâ in the bedrooms instead of âAleaxaâ. Drifting off to sleep and saying âAlexa, lights offâ only to remember: you are in the bedroom. Comical but annoying at the same time. Speaker is great. Better than the 8 for obvious reason. That and the bigger screen are still not enough to justify its price in term of value when compared to the 8, which is at a fraction of the price. The first one I brought home has the seal broken so I thought may be it was defective, so exchanged it for another one. Same problems. So looking like a design or software problem. Still debating if the better sound and bigger screen are worth the annoyances. May be the next generation would be better.

The Echo Show 10 is an interesting mix of both a tablet, camera and smart speaker. When I unboxed it, I was impressed by its weight and quality. Setting up was fairly quick. I was hoping it would just sync with my existing echo dot credentials but I needed to go through the first part of setup before that happened (connect to internet and sign in to Amazon). After that, all the prompts as well as connected devices were integrated into the Echo Show as well. First thing I did was change the prompt name to Echo (easily done on the Alexa app), so that when I ask Alexa (Echo Dot in bedroom) to wake me up, my new Echo Show in my living room isnât the one doing the waking up. I had a few locations I was considering to place the Echo Show but the cord just wasnât long ... MoreThe Echo Show 10 is an interesting mix of both a tablet, camera and smart speaker. First thing I did was change the prompt name to Echo (easily done on the Alexa app), so that when I ask Alexa (Echo Dot in bedroom) to wake me up, my new Echo Show in my living room isnât the one doing the waking up. I had a few locations I was considering to place the Echo Show but the cord just wasnât long enough. Ideally, I feel the best location for it is the kitchen counter or island, which usually has an outlet nearby anyway. The screen is large and can easily be viewed from a few feet away. The graphics are exceptionally crisp. You can select either photos or different themes to display in between other useful but optional slides (ie news, weather, recipes, show suggestions). I have it set to art and the visuals are stunning and uplifting. As far as the camera, I love that thereâs a physical slider to block the camera. Gives me peace of mind to know that the camera is indeed off when I want it to be. The rotating screen leaves a bit to be desired. I feel like it doesnât follow properly and oftentimes tilts to the side and sometimes just stays that way. I turned this feature off and just tilt the screen on demand. One huge upgrade to the Echo show is Zoom! I asked it to open Zoom and the response time was quick. You donât need the Zoom appointment in your calendar for this to work. You can simply ask for the Echo to open Zoom and then enter credentials on the touch screen. The sound and video quality were good as well (though it would be nice to see the âtouch up appearanceâ mode as an option. As far as sound, the Echo Show really shines in this department. The sound quality is great and you can get it to go pretty loud as well. The speaker is really powerful. I also like that you can link your speakers into a group on the Alexa app to create a multi-room experience where music can be played in every room. I also easily linked the Echo Show 10 to my iPhone via Bluetooth and was able to play music on the Echo but control it on my iPhone music app. I tried casting a video on YouTube to the Echo Show 10 but it only played the sound. Hoping theyâll upgrade it to allow this feature soon. Other perks I enjoyed: You can follow recipes easily and the Echo Show waits for you to prompt it for the next step. Itâs a really fun and convenient way to follow recipes. Also, if you have a Ring video doorbell, you can link it to the Echo Show and see whoâs at the front door without having to look at your phone. Super cool. Another fun feature: I regularly ask my smart speakers to do math as Iâm working and need to enter amounts. On the Echo Show, it shows the fill equation as well as the answer. Personally, I love that I can see it and leaves it on the screen for you, so you donât forget. Overall, this is a fun gadget to have, especially with the crisp visuals and sound. I do wish the cord was longer, the motion worked better, and I could cast videos to it. I think most of these things can be solved with subsequent updates.
A little bit pricey but is worth it. That thing tracking your voice and your face is awesome. I use it to control a lot of devices at home, watch news and mainly to use it as a digital display of my pictures stored in the unlimited storage that Amazon photos offers if you are a prime subscriber. The cool thing is that you can select directly from the echo show the person/s you want to see since amazon photos tags automatically similar faces and the you can edit the tag and put specific names for the members of your family. Also you can see the weather, youtube, hulu and a lot of free channels. The security camera option is amazing and be able to rotate the view is a plus. We have 5 children, and various Echo devices in every room. If I only used them for the âAnnounceâ feature theyâd be worth every penny, but obviously they do so much more. Theyâre all of our alarm clocks. They control all of our lights and ensure the doors are locked at night. They help the kids with their spelling. They help me convert ounces to tablespoons in the kitchen. You get the idea! But on to this new unit - itâs an impressive piece of equipment. I had the latest generation Show before, and it was of course excellent. The new Echo Show 10 with motion has the ability to fluidly follow you across the room or kitchen as you watch videos or review a recipe while you cook. I used it tonight while cooking, and wherever I was in the kitchen, I always had full view of the recipe. Very cool! Another great feature is the ability to drop in and view the camera from the Alexa app. You can swipe left or right to move the camera as well. Great for keeping an eye on things while youâre gone on vacation (donât forget to put the echo in Guard Mode!) My only criticism of this unit is that the screen, while very crisp and clear, does not seem to have the same level of brightness as the static Show does. Even at full brightness it appears dimmer. It also becomes much easier to view if you tilt it further up, towards you, but that position is less useful for remote viewing of the room if needed. Minor issues on an otherwise fantastic unit. One other comment about the new move function, some friends and family have noticed it following them as they viewed it and felt it was a bit disconcerting. It certainly doesnât bother me, but you can easily disable the move feature, AND it has a physical switch to block the camera with a white piece of plastic, rendering the camera completely unusable if desired. Oh, and the round base has fantastic sound. Iâm very impressed with the audio quality of this unit for music! Love the new Echo Show Move overall. Highly recommended!
I ordered this as a replacement for my Echo show 5 and expected to be amazed. What I got was a slightly smarter and comically large screen that felt like the Alexa team made it "just because". On the plus side, the camera worked well enough and the feature that has the screen rotate to face you is nice! The latter has the exception of needing good lighting. The downsides are big enough that I ended up returning this to stick with my Show 5. First and foremost, the screen is just comically large. The bezel and huge base just make this thing way bigger than it really needs to be. The worst part about the size is that it really doesn't offer any functionality to justify that screen size. I have no idea why this isn't basically a kindle with apps and Alexa support.
Very unfriendly, cumbersome device riddled with design problems and build quality. Lacks integration with Youtube Music. The error messages are unconstructive. Loses WiFi connection continuously despite no other device in the same area having a similar problem. No warranty whatsoever, you're left to write to a Amazon forum and patiently wait for an answer. The setup takes too long and you have to be very patient with it, otherwise it's "hey you just bumped into the device please restart everything from scratch". The design is good, but the tracking feature doesn't align with your face perfectly and it always looks off. There's no calibration of it either. Voice ID doesn't work properly at all. The design is good, but the tracking feature doesn't align with your face perfectly and it always looks off. There's no calibration of it either. Voice ID doesn't work properly at all. The web browser is clunky and you can never bring it up with a simple "open web browser". You have to speak a secret ancient language and say "open sesame", "open silk" or something like that in order for it to work. No, native Youtube integration, so you're left with a web browser for watching Youtube videos. The family integration is broken and it took us literally hours to make it working at the bare minimum configuration. Full of bugs. Alexa stops responding to you after you choose "don't send my voice recordings to Amazon". Spotify integration is unreliable and stops working at random times. The Alexa app that comes with it is also quite complex piece of software that makes it a puzzle solving task to perform any simple operation. The whole ordeal was tortuorus.
Depends on what you have purchased it for. My husband bought 3 of them for Mother's day so that we could keep in touch with our two daughters, one which was moving out of the area. My daughter with her own account can not drop in on me. When she tries dropping in on my device name she is automatically sent to my Mom. We finally diabled Mom's and it went to my other daughter's. It won't go to my device unless all other's on my account are disabled. Now what sense does that make? She has found out that she has the same problem so can not connect her Echo 5 device she had originally or when I call it, it goes to that little one instead of her big one that is centrally located. I have been waiting for over a week now for guidance from Amazon. This is a thousand dollars wasted if they do not figure this out. Customer service follow through with my first attempt was extremely poor and nothing every was solved. At least this second attempt I received and email update that states "still working on it". Now when researching this online I found that people have had this problem going back a couple of years at least. You would think that Amazon would have put something out there that says that you can not have multiple devices on one account and use the drop in feature. My Mom can not manage a phone so I had to open up hers under my account I believe. If that isn't true then Amazon has not gotten that back to me either.
This echo show 10, 3rd generation is by far their best one yet. You can link it to your Prime Membership account. With prime you get unlimited photo storage which you can view on your unit with daily memories. With prime you also get Amazon basic or Amazon premium music which of course you can listen to on your echo show. The speaker is a pretty decent speaker and it's really convenient to just tell Alexa that you want to listen to some music or you want to watch a movie. I mean technically you can watch Prime videos on this unit. And another thing I love is I have Blink cameras which is part of Amazon. And I can watch them on the screen. I mean technically you can watch Prime videos on this unit. And another thing I love is I have Blink cameras which is part of Amazon. And I can watch them on the screen. Like if somebody comes to the door my Blink DoorBell Cam will pick up the person when he rings the bell and then I will get a notification along with a sound on my screen telling me that someone is at the door. Then I can look over at the screen and decide if I want to open the door or not. lol and all your other blink cameras can be seen on the Echo Show. So there are many different things unit will do. And it's personalized to how you want to set it up. It remembers the music you were listening to before and all that. It has a very decent quality to what's being seen on the screen. And at night it shows the date and time but if the lights are turned off in your room or wherever you have it, then that display of time is visible but not bright at all. So I have mine next to my bed and if I wake up through the night I can look over and see the time and it's so dull of a light that it does not disturb your sleep. I mean I can go on and on about this unit it's well worth the money that you'll spend. It also has a motion thing where the screen will follow you wherever you are in a room when you're doing a video call. You can also disable that if you decide you don't want to use it. And also the camera on here can be a part of your blink camera's setup. You will not regret buying this. It makes no difference to me if you do or you don't. But there's so many different things that you can do that will keep you entertained with this Echo Show that make it well worth the investment.
