Happy with the kids version since there are no adds. It is very touch sensitive so I may look into getting one of the clickers or a strap. cause my thumbs accidentally hit the sides sometimes when holding it causing the page to turn. Other than that I'd say it is a good fit for people with small hands and kids.

My daughter loves her Kindle. This is the kids version, but is the same as the adults except it comes ad free, a case, and with a 2 year warranty plus 1 year of Kindle Kids subscription. She immediately downloaded 3 books after set up. Not bad for the price! Also, much easier to travel with than the stack of books she normally brought along.

I was so excited to order this for my daughter since she is obsessed with reading & it’s way lighter than carrying books. She loved it but I was very disappointed when it stopped working within a month . The screen would just go white and wouldn’t change from there. I was glad it was still within the return window! I returned it, didn’t bother exchanging it because if it happened again but out of the return window I didn’t wanna be stuck with something that doesn’t work

Wish I'd got one ages ago. I've been reading ebooks kn my phone for ages and finally got this kindle, it's sooooo much better, more reading space for a start and you can highlight parts of the text, makes notes on those highlighted parts and email those notes to yourself which is brilliant if you're reading a text book or self help book or just wanting to make notes on a fiction book for some reason. I really recommend getting one if you usually read books on your phone, this is soooo mucb better.
Great item. If you're looking for something to read any ebooks you might already own, this is a great option - lots of options to customise your reading experience also. Using it daily ever since have bought and has become one of those purchases that I wonder how I ever did without.
I struggle with arthritis in my hands, this is perfect, lightweight and the paperwhite screen is excellent, no glare and just like reading a paper book. I like the versatility of being able to change font sizes, background light etc. A great feature is the acces to a dictionary, just highlight a word you don't know and you get an instant description. Fits easily into a bag being compact. Wouldn't be without it.
It's a product of two parts. Hardware and software.Hardware-wise it is so good, every version improves. The flat screen, USB-C, better waterproofing, smooth backlighting, my other daughter has the previous version and is pretty jealous of the improvements. Now the software, my main issue is that you can't get books on there that aren't from Amazon. You can exit Kindle Kids, but then there are no parental restrictions. I understand the reasons, and I'm still very happy with it, but it's very clearly designed to use kindle kids, not be an "open" ebook reader.
I’ve been thinking about purchasing a Kindle for a long time, and have always held off as I much prefer a physical book, however with the price of Kindle versions of books often a little - if not a lot - cheaper, and there being so many in my backlog of books to read, I thought I’d take a punt and get one to see if it could allow me to read more of the books I’ve been checking out, quicker.Whilst I don’t think a Kindle will ever truly replace the feel and appreciation for a physical book, it is absolutely amazing for on-the-go reading and, as I’ve mentioned, can be more cost-effective for people who, like me, read constantly and go through books like wildfire, as Kindle books are sometimes slightly cheaper.Very happy with this purchase, would absolutely recommend.
They say you can find magic in the littlest of things " and this is so true with the Kindle paperwhite 11th, My first ever kindle and it fits in your had like a glove, super easy to use i went on utube to understand it a bit more and the fun things it can do.I would say to any one "if you love reading this is such a cool alternative to a papered book " and don't get me wrong for me I still love my art books, but Crime story's, thrillers what ever you love to read its perfect, fab battery life too . I bought a case for mine so if i get a table seat on a Train its super handy, and keeps you Kindle in great shape.
I have bought a new 11th Gen Kindle because both of my current ones are showing signsof wear and the odd malfunction - usually sorted by a reset but I cant possibly be without - YES I know I am a sad sac but honestly I have read at least 5 books a week since I was 7. I find downloading on to my Kindle great since I am no where near a library. I keep one by my chair and one by my bed (I have mobi;ity issues). To me my Kindles are essential and keep me sane on bad nights or lonely days. I will be setting up this new one tomorrow and seeing that it is lighter is a real bonus.
