ANSWR At-Home Keratin Treatment Kit

I have very thick Asian shoulder length hair and whenever I go to the hairdresser she always books either the last appointment for the day or an extra 30mts.Decided to try this product based on the reviews.At first seeing the size of the bottle I thought it would not be enough, I got a friend to help me apply it as trying to do it yourself just does not work. By the time she got to the end there was still some left and I ended up randomly spraying it all over making sure the hair was well saturated. It does have a strong smell but compared to keratin treatments in a salon it’s not as strong a smell, found using a mask helped whilst applying straighteners and make sure windows are open.The product worked really well for my hair. But now it’s calmer and I do not have to use straighteners unless I want the smooth sleek finish.I would recommend this product and for all those sceptics it is definitely worth trying.

I followed instructions sprayed activator product in hair in sections did distribute with hands to ensure its coated on strands, should have done this with gloves as it did irritate my skin a little. but second thought, not sure it needed to be distributed this way.I left it on for an hour before cold rinsing and then hair dried my hair and straightened it. I can say this product is terrible for my health. I feel congested and breathlessness at times, it feels worse when I straightened my hair or using a blowdryer, and even when exercising.I washed my hair 48 hours after straightening using the answr shampoo and conditioner, these products are nice. I washed my hair using warm water and cold water, warm water causes the triggering reactions, and I had thought maybe the first time I used the activator and rinsed with cold water, perhaps, needed to rinse my hair for longer so thats why I had the reactions but after spending time washing my hair today and still smelling the strong smell and feeling congested I think it has to be the activator product.To maintain results it is instructed to use hairdryer after washing hair, but I am worried to do this now due to the reactions. I’m not sure whats in this product to cause this but I can say just because it has natural chemicals doesn’t mean its good for you, which I didn’t think I’d have to worry about and loved that it was vegan initially.Today couldn’t wait to wash the smell out but looks like it is going to stay as long as the product is in my hair. I am disappointed, although it has reduced the frizz makes hair smooth. I didn’t want the health side effects that follow and want to reverse the treatment or know how to stop the side effects.

I was really hopeful after reading other reviews. I am sorry to say that I was disappointed in the end. It took ages to apply, wait and blow dry/style as per instructions. I used the entire bottle on my hair and it looked marginally sleeker for about a week but for the next two weeks I couldn’t see any benefits at all. 3 weeks in and I really wouldn’t know I’ve ever used it. If I were to use it weekly to actually see and maintain the results it would become so much more expensive that the cost saving becomes negligible compared to a longer lasting kératine treatment at a salon. I am not sure if I will give it a second go at this point, but I appreciate that it may work a lot better for others with different type of hair. Love the packaging , product arrived in two weeks or less. Instructions were easy to follow, theres was a slight irritation around the front of my face where the solution on the product may have touched the skin. So next time I will apply some vaseline around the face area. It did not burn, sting or anything of that nature , there was no harsh smell, the shampoo and conditioner had a light fragrance. After following the instructions carefully my hair came out really nice, slick, straight, and easy to manage . Even after the second wash the same results. But the real test was whether my hair would hold up in the heat since I was in the south. There are no nasty fumes and overall waiting around 45' with the product on your hair for me was not really a bit deal. The drying phase and ironing was really very easy - much much much easier than any other product I have ever used. I also wish that they sold just the shampoo on its own, without the conditioner - ideally a bit bottle of shampoo on its own, simply because I prefer to use other conditioners.

I received this duo complimentary from Gussi. I love using them for my long, wavy, dry and frizzy hair. I first use the Squeaky Clean Priming Shampoo to clean my hair and prepare my hair for the treatment. I then follow with the Smooth Operator Keratin Treatment. It is easy to apply with the spray nozzle and it is easy to distribute it evenly through my long hair. It has a beautiful creamy, smooth texture and an amazing fresh spa like scent that is not too overpowering. It absorbs quickly into my hair, and I leave it in for 15-20 minute and then rinse it out. It does not weigh down my hair of leave any buildup. I then use a hair dryer to dry my hair followed by a flat iron to lock in all the moisture. I was surprised by the results after just one use. I typically only was my hair every 3-4 days regularly, so I was hoping the treatment would last similar to what was advertised. I felt honestly like it was a one and done kind of thing. Now I will say for myself, the treatment amount I used to begin with still left some product in the bottle, so I can definitely do another round. I have done Brazilian blowouts in the past, keratin treatment with formaldehyde (to which my scalp had an allergic reaction), and other straightener treatments that have caused me to do a big chop seven years ago and regrow my naturally curly hair. So with all that, I was hesitant to try this, but I have to say it works. But I will give some feedback on 4 hair types. 1. Make sure you use a double comb blow dryer or a blow dryer that will work through the hair. 2. The instructions say to flat iron 3 to 4 times for each 1-inch strand to seal the product. I used the Revlon Hair Straightening Heated Styling Brush for two strokes and my flat iron for the other two. The reason why is because my blow dryer did not smooth my hair out enough as I wanted. So although my hair was dry, it was still hard to comb through when I just flat ironed the first couple of strands. So I quickly switched to this, and it worked. My hair has not had keratin or any in it for the past seven years, and this treatment kept the gorgeous body that I wanted to keep with amazing straight hair that did not revert to my curls until I washed it! And oh, these tamed curls are so easy to maintain! So thank you for preserving me from heat damage and giving me tamed hair!
