Apple iPad 10.9" Wi-Fi 64GB Pink (10th Gen)

It’s not advertised anywhere, but this iPad SUCKS with Apple Pencil compatablilty. First of all, it isn’t compatible with the 2nd gen pencil, which you would expect. It’s also not advertised as such. Secondly, you have to special purchase a specific adapter from Apple, which is $20 and no where in town has them. It takes like 3-4 days to get. This is because the iPad 10th gen has a usb-c port, not lightening. So this tiny piece is ONLY for iPad 10. You also have to plug everything in each time you want to use your pencil, as it’s not Bluetooth. The shadiest part is that none of this is advertised, so it took me and my partner forever to figure out what the heck was wrong. Wish I I knew all this before. Would have saved a few hundred and gotten the 9th gen. So stupid.

Apples New Generation

Before the launch of this product I predicted all the upgrades should equal out to about 100 dollars more from the 9th generation IPAD. I missed by 50 and I thought it was overpriced so I wasn’t going to purchase it for that amount. It is on sale now for 50 less so I purchased it. I am not a pencil person, PRO person or interested in trying to turn an IPad into a laptop replacement. It can’t and never will be able to. Apple can trick it out all they want. The software won’t allow it. I mainly do email, text, browse the Internet, pay my bills, do some shopping, and for movies and sports consumption. All I do is transfer small movies and document files anyway. Upgraded screen to Liquid Retina is great for me. Don’t need P3 color. Stereo speakers in landscape mode is nice. Also putting the camera in landscape was nice. 5G is good and I really like the touch ID button being moved and the boarders being slimed down, makes it look more modern. Last of all my daughter gave me a 100 gift card that i put towards it so out of pocket for me was only 300!!!! Now you see why I am so happy with my new IPAD.

Daughter loves it!

I got this for my daughter with the iPhone promotion, and she gets an iPad and I get to try the cute little iPhone 13 mini. My daughter has been enjoying this tablet. I thought that maybe 64 GB might not be enough, but it has not been a problem yet. She is able to play roblox just fine on it, and she can start practicing digital drawing. She a great pen to paper type of artist, so I'm excited to see what she can create digitally, as there are no limitations like supplies besides your imagination. All she really needs is the iPad and the Pen, and if she wanted to get fancier then pen tips or even different pens and the matte screen protectors for that more paper feel. I'm glad she is enjoying it. I also thoght that since it was an older generation of iPad that it might be slow or not have as many features as the newer models, but honestly there probably isn't evena huge different from this one than the next generation.

Disappointed: No Apple Pencil compatible

Purchased iPad 10th generation and corresponding first generation Apple Pencil. Very disappointed that the Apple Pencil does not work with this iPad! If you want a pencil this is not the iPad for you. We met with customer service , geek squad and also had a call with apple support where they finally admitted there is a problem with the 1st gen pencil connecting with this iPad version. We also tried Logitech and it did no work either. We confirmed the iPad will connect to other devices such as air pods, etc so it is a confirmed issue with the 1st gen pencil. I’ve researched online abs it’s been an ongoing issue that they claim will resolve with future software updates, but this problem is still unresolved.

Excellent Upgrade!

I will say that this iPad is a great upgrade if you are coming from an older model. I know that most media reviews have been knocking this model. Their big question is: "Who is this iPad for?" Well, its for "me"! I don't use an Apple Pencil and I upgraded from the 6th generation iPad. Even though the screen is not laminated, it's still great, and having them upgrade the size to 10.9 is a nice addition. The A14 Bionic chip is no slouch either. Plenty of speed for most applications and tasks. If you're on the fence about getting this, it just might be the one to get. I highly recommend getting the Logitech Combo Touch keyboard case for it instead of the Apple one.

Horrible Experience

Tried setting it up Thursday dec29. Would not set up. CALLED THE HELP LINE. SHE TOLD ME IT NEEDS SERVICE AND I CAN PURCHASE A PLAN TO COVER THAT REALLY. BRAND NEW! TAKING IT BACK BEST BUY HAS CHANGED FOR THE WORSE. THEY CANCELED AN ORDER PLACED ON NOV 26. DEC 29. BUT THEY CHARGED MY CREDIT CARD NOV 26. I MISSED ALL BLACK FRIDAY DEALS FOR THIS 1200.00 PHONE. I CALLED A FEW TIMES WEEKLY AND WAS TOLD THEY WOULD NOT CANCEL BASICALLY THEY CAUSED ME TO LOSE ALOT OF MONEY THEN THE IPAD. THEY ARE STRUGGLING DUE TO SIZE OF STORES. I FEEL THEY ARE USING THE CUSTOMERS MONEY TO TRY TO STAY ABOVE THE SINKING POINT. BUT I WILL NOT SHOP BEST BUY AGAIN. TOO MANY LIES

I’d say it’s a nice improvement over the iPad 9…

Definitely love this new iPad 10… I have the iPad 9, but I’m just gonna use that as a dedicated display for my drone and use this one as my actual iPad for home & travel when I don’t wanna drag my MacBook Pro 14” with me. This seems like a YUUUUUUUGE upgrade from the Gen 9. Larger screen, speakers are better (& in stereo when in landscape mode). Love the Touch ID being on top (very convenient), cameras have been improved, etc. Many complain that you can’t charge the Apple Pencil from the side, but honestly I’d rather charge the pencil / crayon “old school” via a wall charger. Price is a Bit High

I like this iPad but is it worth $150 more (on average ) than the 9th Gen iPad? Nope . However, you do have the USB-C port now instead of lightning (makes attaching hubs WAY more compatible) . Battery life seems worse than 9th gen but that’s likely because this has a better chip and needs more power . Overall, I’d still suggest the 9th gen unless you need the USB-C port Images is how the iPad looks in the Targus Pro-Tek case with the Targus iPad pen. Both work great with this iPad! FYI: I’ve already dropped this on its face with no screen cover (on wood flooring) and it did not take any damage !

Would buy again 10x over

Originally I was going to get last year’s model however when I saw that this years was a difference of $150 I went ahead and invested in it since electronics get old fast. With the eye model there were only a few differences so definitely look it up. For me it was a no brainer. I absolutely love it. This is my first apple tablet. I have always had apple products so I’m familiar with apple. I made this investment for my career, to present to my clients. I have never used Keynotes before. For those that don’t know how what it is; it’s a software program like power point. sold faulty product

Extremely disappointed by this product. I ordered it online on July 8 and received it on July 14. By the time I got the product, this was 6 days after the purchase. About a week later, the product just stopped working. This was right after the 14-day return policy. Because of this, I can not get a refund or any assistance in repairs from Best Buy. I am upset because 1) I was sold a product that does not work at all and 2) I can't receive a refund because the 14-day return policy is based on the purchase date, rather than the day I received it. I did not realize how short the return period is for these products, which is annoying because it is expensive technology. When it does not work, you're just out of luck. Will not be purchasing from here again.
