An expensive, but brilliant keyboard with trackpad & case, makes a huge difference (imo) strong magnets attach the keyboard & top panel/stand separately allowing you to use either or both together. This case the Pad 10s cameras lens in a recess to offer a little protection and stop the lens making contact with surfaces when placed down. The tilting stand and small overall dimensions mean you can use it on your lap comfortably (as I am right now writing this review) The keyboard & trackpad have no independent power, It uses the iPads power (without noticeable extra drain) so thats one less thing to charge (hoorah!) Ive found it to be excellent all round for my uses & turns the pad into a little laptop effectively. For $250??? Cheap, flimsy, and NOT BACKLIT! I like being able to see my keys while I type. I also agree with the other reviewer that mentions how you can not use while sitting at the couch easily, the kick stand makes the entire keyboard/device too long. So, you almost NEED to set up at a table. To give you an idea. It is just a tad sturdier than Apples basic table folio cover.I could go on Amazon and purchase a keyboard for under $50. The reason I did not was because I would have to charge it separately. So, I figured, APPLE would have their collective ‘design’ together.Going from the Magic floating keyboard to this is the biggest letdown.I will be returning and looking at Logitech for a better quality keyboard.

The functionality this keyboard and trackpad add to the iPad is great. I never thought if use the trackpad so was very surprised when I realized how frequently I’m using it. The keyboard has a nice touch, and the spacing of the keys is great. I have larger hands and have no problem using this. The only minor downside is it that, along with the back cover, it adds a decent amount of weight but doesn’t provide any protection around the edge of the iPad. Still, I give 5 stars for the functionality and quality.
The only other tablet keyboard I have used was an RCA. It did not have a back brace and could be opened to any angle, which I miss. This has a flexible connection between the tablet and the keyboard which, along with the back brace, makes it hard to use on my lap or on an uneven surfaces. On a desktop it’s fine. It shifts a little bit when it is closed. But hey, it looks terrific. The white is fine, holding up and not dirty. Easy to type on the keyboard, which I always use with the tablet.
All apple accessories are overpriced in my opinion… nonetheless this is a good accessory, though it has limited ability to position the screen. It’s a good backlit keyboard, the magnetic hold is strong, and even has a passthrough USB-C port to charge the iPad without sacrificing the regular port (which I use for a dock). It also has a touchpad, if you’re into that kind of thing. And no bluetooth nonsense to deal with. Again, my only misgiving is the price Apple sets for these.
We were using these as our official corporate solution. They work great! Quality is awesome, the keyboard is awesome and the viewing angles and setup sets it apart. No charging or battery to deal with. Etc.There is a but though and it is a big one. If you drop your iPad there is zero edge protection. We have quit using them for this reason. It isn't like they are dropped all the time but when they do it is the least opportune times and results in absolutely shattered screens and even bent frames. It's amazing how much damage a user can do.I am not saying there are "better" solutions because every one we have tried has its drawbacks. If you are okay dropping a thousand dollar tablet and having to fix it because the "case" doesn't have edge protection it is the way ... MoreWe were using these as our official corporate solution. (Note: Apple authorized repair centers wouldn't touch our damaged iPads. We had to go to people using aftermarket parts.)
The typing experience is awesome. The keys feel excellent with just the right amount of travel. I love the fact the keyboard separates from the iPad to be flipped around when using the iPad in portrait mode. It is also removable for using in Portrait mode, or media consumption while in land scape mode. It fits the iPad very well without adding a ton of weight. The keyboard has a row of function keys, a feature not found on the even more expensive Magic Keyboard. The downsides of the keyboard is it’s a bit wiggly when using as a case. Another downside is the lack of backlighting. I’m giving it 5 stars because while it’s expensive, the typing experience is better that the even more expensive Magic Keyboard, and again, even the Magic Keyboard doesn’t come with a row of function keys at the time of this review.
This keyboard case is wonderful. It is easy to type on and saves my screen on my ipad. It is small enough to sit on an airplane tray and attaches easily on to my ipad. It provides excellent protection for my ipad and the white color makes it look fresh and clean. The large letters on the keys is helpful with us seniors, whose eyesight tends to decrease with age. The light weight of the keyboard makes it easy to carry around from room to room. I love the stand, which balances the ipad and the magnetic feature locking the ipad in place. The feature of being able to rotate 360 degrees would be nice to have on this keyboard, but other than that, I would buy this keyboard again for any future purchases.
I should have done more research before buying. I bought it as part of purchasing the latest generation iPad. It’s okay that part of it separates so that i can use the iPad with the stand but not the keyboard, but it separates too easily, and without warning, and if you don’t reattach correctly, you can’t use the keyboard. I also don’t like that it doesn’t have a charging port. It also has too many keys, and for functions i don’t use (rewind/pause/fast forward, lock the iPad). I’m not recommending this item because while i don’t like it, someone else might.
