Or the phone will remind you even at 11 at night that you haven’t closed your rings it can be annoying hence 4 stars.but make no mistake I love this watch I fell safer when I’m on my own I suffer with very bad vertigo it comes in with zero notice and my last attack was very bad 2 weeks in hospital not funny at all I do live on my own and my kids and grandkids do check on me but due to the nature of the illness it has no set time for coming on and making you fall this watch will now phone my emergency contacts and the emergency services if I fall and don’t move.it notifies my family if I fall full stop so for me it’s a Marvellous bit of kit and justifies my independence and my way of living it’s a huge help which at some point I’m deffo gonna needHope this helps have a lovely day ??

The Apple Watch Ultra, at $799, is the same price as the 45mm Stainless Steel (42mm is $749). While the price is the same, from owning three SS Apple Watches, the Ultra is the best value them all. What is not often mentioned in review here, or elsewhere, is while the 49mm is not much larger than the 45mm, what makes it even better is the glass is flat from edge-to-edge, rather than curved towards the edges as on all other previous models. Amazing Features, Cosmetic Durability Issues

*NOT AN AVERAGE USER*I wear this watch daily as well as for mountaineering, winter alpinism, rock climbing, ski touring, and trail running.I have probably used every single feature that the watch offers and I can definitely say that when it comes to functionality, this watch is pretty much perfect.The problem for me is durability, which appears to be due to a design decision.To preface: I am absolutely okay with the clasp of the band becoming scratched. It’s $99. I don’t really care, and I figure I can get a clean band for daily wear and another for everything else I do. They show scratches incredibly easily (see one example from my first day of wear in the pictures attached). Any time I have brushed a bevel against wood, metal, rocks, or even a plastic desk (which was what caused the pictured scratch), I have ended up with super visible cosmetic blemishes.I believe that this issue occurs because the bevels of the watch (the sharp edges) have been polished and shined. The rest of the watch is matte, which decreases visibility, but the scratches to the bevel reflect light and can be seen at any angle.I recognize that this may only be a significant issue due to my activities, but I did buy the watch because it was advertised for alpinism. There was even a panoramic of a ridge line inside the box!YMMV, but I do think that for alpinists and climbers, this is probably a 4-star product. With a couple design improvements, it would definitely be a 5.Final, long shot note to Apple: Please add a climbing activity to the fitness app! I want to use my alpine watch to track alpine workouts!

I upgraded my 41mm to Ultra and there's no looking back! It's awesome, I won't go into its features' details since you can read/watch it all online, yes, it's that good. Pairing with the iPhone was super easy and super fast, And if you're familiar with Apple Watches, then you know they are very reliable (at least for me, my old Apple watches never failed on me). For those worrying about the Ultra's 49mm being too large on your small wrist, just don't worry. If you're used to small watches then of course at first you might think it's too big. As for me, I wear my watch every single day. I'm an average user, normal active, who currently can use all the Ultra new features except for diving... But who knows, maybe I could take on a scuba course in a near future, and maybe one day I could dive next to a whale shark ;)

Fantastic watch

This is my third Apple Watch and an upgrade from the Apple Watch 5.The watch is great, on the surface not a great deal different to the previous watches I’ve had. When Apple announced this watch I thought it was overkill, and maybe a bit strange looking. That was likely due to Apple's insistence on showing extreme conditions that this supposedly could be used in. But in person, I was sold. The top edge surrounding the glass is a nice look, so are the other elements like the speaker holes and 'action' button's contrast. The screen feels bigger, because it is, and the titanium is a nice change of color and a durable, premium looking material. It has a very much natural gunmetal vibe. It's chunky and I love it.I hear the alpine bands can get dirty looking, so if considering one, go for this green color, it's a nice muted forest/camo green that fits the metal color nicely. Solid unit, great battery, a literal life-saver

Never been a fan of watches at all. I've owned a few analog watches but only wore for occasions. Decided to get the Watch Ultra after recent GP visits were not very promising re cardiovascular health. I must say it has significantly improved my health and wellbeing. I have apps that alert me to do exercises/drink water/meditate, etc.My heart rate is now more stable, and I am able to track my progress over the months. I have learnt to enjoy going for walks into non-familiar areas and national reserves, just turning on the "backtrack" feature - dont need a phone at all and I can enjoy the environment.The battery life also amazing. Hear me out, I ONLY purchased this watch because it’s SEXY. I purchased an $800 watch because it’s pretty…that’s all. It’s an amazing watch with a *3+ day battery life, titanium body and a 49mm flat screen which makes the display gorgeous and much easier to see. Not a huge difference from the 8 but the added features definitely make the watch worth the price. If you’re an adventurer, diver or even a health conscious person, this watch has several perks that would benefit you. Water depth meter, body temperature sensor, ECG reading, siren that can be heard from approx. 600ft away, and the customizable action button. The watch also has the satellite connection ability as well which is great for people who run on trails or like to go hiking. That’s with the blood oxygen, and wrist temperature being turned off because I don’t think it is necessary.
