Overall, its a great board if you're looking for mid-level board that won't break the bank. If your eyes are bad like mine, invest in a magnifying glass and a good flashlight, and you'll be good to go.

The Asus X570-F ROG Strix board is one of the many fully featured boards out there. What set's it apart however is the vast IO and great build quality. With the onboard IO you'll be hard pressed to run out of expansion slots, be it internal or external connectors. In addition to the 8 internal SATA connectors, there are numerous USB, RGB and temperature probe headers that line the board. The two top PCI-E x16 slots are also re-enforced ensuring your GPU or other large expansion card will not sag. The layout of the board is conventional with the added cooling blocks for both the chip-set and VRM's being very welcome.Asus keeps their BIOS up to date as well, meaning that if you buy this board you'll be able to use Ryzen 1000,2000,3000 and the upcoming 4000 series ... MoreThe Asus X570-F ROG Strix board is one of the many fully featured boards out there. Even if you buy this down the line when the 4000 series is out and the retail bios is outdated? No problem. There is a button on the board that lets you load a fresh bios off of a USB drive directly. So all of that sounds great to you, but lets figure out if it's actually a good fit. Rather than figuring out who this board is for, lets list who it is not for. If you're user who throws in a CPU, GPU and doesn't tune or overclock, doesn't need more than 4 hard/solid state drives and doesn't care about adding additional add in cards? Then you're better served with a less expensive board, maybe even a B550.Everyone else? This board can and will serve as a wonderful base for your next build.

This is my first Asus board. I decided to go with the X570 to compliment the new Ryzen 3900x. This board has a plethora of features. I had a decent collection of SSDs and HDDs that I’ve accumulated over the years and needed a board that had enough SATA ports, this board gave me enough and then some. The Chipset fan was a concern at first, but even under heavy load, I have yet to hear it. The RGB is minimal but easily controllable with the Asus Aura software and other 3rd party RGB components (I.e. RAM) are also able to be controlled without issue. So far, no issues with this board. I would definitely recommend this board to anyone looking for a higher end MOBO with plenty of SATA ports.

Just transitioned from Intel to AMD Processors and was looking to add additional memory to the motherboard but 2+ sticks won't post in BIOS or Windows. Using Memory: G.Skill F4-3600C16Q-64GTZNC 64GB 4x16GB DDR4 3600MHz Memory Module Checked AMD QVL for 3000 Series and the model number is listed for compatibility. I'm able to get into UEFI BIOS with one memory stick but I get a DRAM light on the motherboard when I try to run 2 or more. Even tried enabling D.O.C.P. as I could not find XMP settings. Loaded all drivers and are up to date once I was able to get into Windows initially. Purchased through another retailer that cannot be named in this comment but that's besides the point.
I bought this motherboard to go with my eyzen 3700x i purchased a month after the cpus release. It worked fine until 2 weeks ago when my pc suddenly crashed. When i tried to power it back on, the mobo led indicated a dram error. After testing all of my ram one at a time, trying many other troubleshooting steps, i brought my computer to a local repair store who told the mobo was not detecting ram in any slot, even with their own ram. Not only that, but they had 5 other customers whose computer also had asus motherboard die on them. If you bought your asus board 2019 around june or july, it might be part of a bad batch that hasnt been recalled. As if that wasnt enough, asus rma application submitting page has a bug where it will not give you a rma number, claiming the ... MoreI bought this motherboard to go with my eyzen 3700x i purchased a month after the cpus release. I've spent nearly two days trying to figure this out, trolling through AMD, ASUS and reddit tech forums attempting to work out why I can't get fast charging to work on the front and back usb-c ports on this mobo. The instruction manual indicates the ports should be fast charging, but they are not, even though I've updated drivers, armoury crate, added AI Charger, updated BIOS/UEFI and lord knows what else.Turns out, I'm not alone, as I'm not the only one asking about this on ASUS forums. What the heck! How ridiculous is this? What was this board? Like $400 and I can't even fast charge through the USB-C ports.
Overall, this is a good Motherboard. It works, it was easy to assemble. There are only a couple of issues I have had so far. Firstly, the BIOS are slow to load up. Really don't like that my fans all rev way up every time I turn on the PC. There also seems to be a problem with saving settings? I don't know why but my ram has to cycle every time I turn the PC on as well. Everything has passed stress tests so I don't know why it does this. It is kinda annoying. Sometimes the RBG on the motherboard doesn't turn on and requires a restart to work. The Aura software isn't great either. I can't sync certain colors between all of my RBG; mainly orange and purple which seem to be off for the MB. Customer service sucks for ASUS. Pros:+Rock-solid. It runs my R9 3900X OCed to 4.175GHz and G.Skill Trident Z Neo F4-3600C16D-32GTZN at 3.6GHz with no errors or issues.+Nice PCH coolerCons:-Aura Sync software is hot garbage. There are only two on this motherboard. After going through two defective MSI X570 Gaming Pro Carbon units, I gave up on them and bought this instead. From a performance and general build quality perspective, I'm quite happy. However, I'm now faced with having to buy a sound card or external DAC because of the interference on the on-board sound chip. That doesn't happen often so it's not a big deal for now. My biggest gripe is with Armoury Crate, the software that controls the RGB, among other things. I don't know why none of the big motherboard manufacturers can't employ some decent programmers and QA people because ALL of their utilities are unreliable junk. My biggest gripe is with Armoury Crate, the software that controls the RGB, among other things. I don't know why none of the big motherboard manufacturers can't employ some decent programmers and QA people because ALL of their utilities are unreliable junk. Armoury Crate worked fine for about the first two months I had this board. Then, it took an update (which you can't decline since it's a Windows Store app) and all of a sudden, it can't see any AURA devices in my system any more. When the system is powered up, the RGB is stuck on one static colour, when it gets to Windows, it changes to another one but you can't adjust it at all. The software has had at least half a dozen component updates since then and it still doesn't work. The ROG forums are full of people with this complaint. If I try to install AURA Sync independently (which is available for this board), it just refuses to run. Asus support (which I have to admit, has come a long way in recent years) is trying to help but doesn't know what the problem is and doesn't seem willing to entertain the thought that maybe the software is to blame. I'm not prepared to reload my entire machine a second time just to fix this thing that will probably break again later. I'd sooner just turn off the board's RGB entirely and forget it. On top of that, I sleep my machine at night and Armoury Crate's service is randomly waking the system. It doesn't provide any functions that should require it to wake the system but it does anyway. I don't care that this isn't a "high-end" board, don't put RGB on your products if you can't write decent software to manage it. Overall, this is still a solid X570 board for those who don't want to pay ridiculously high prices for higher end boards full of features they don't need. Just know that you're likely to have frustrations with Armoury Crate and that you might either need a separate sound card or some ferrite cores on your headphones.
I have used this motherboard in 5 PC's including my own personal PC.pleasing to the eye if you have a windowed case with a nice touch of RGB.my personal rig has been running flawlessly for nearly 3 years now.The other 4 motherboards are in graphics intensive workstations at my workplace which are on 24/7.I've had other hardware die but these boards are tough and just keep on giving.I would not hesitate to buy another and the choice of Ryzen CPU's just gets better and better.
