I regret that I didn't invest in this type of line years ago. Over the years I struggled with not enough room, titled lines, snapped arms plastic that cracked. Four lines x 30 years.This new one is by a long shot the strongest, built with strong metal even the line is metal cable. No plastic in sight. It easily manages sheets. Its built to last a lifetime. Very good value.

My clothesline had to be replaced after a neighbour's tree squashed the last one. Dealing with Lifestyle was so easy!Everything was organised quickly and efficiently. The staff were warm and lovely and the blokes who installed it were terrific. And the new clothesline is gorgeous- all shiny and new!

Great product, made in Australia, Australian steel, by Australians.A TRUE Aussie company, not a foreign company registered in Australia claiming to be an Australian company.Hills have been made in China since early 2000's and while I was looking to buy this clothesline Hills were more expensive.Very happy with this product. Quality product. Clear, easy to follow, instructions.We searched for an Australian made clothesline and were happy to purchase one from Lifestyle clotheslines.We installed it ourselves and followed the instructions, (we chose to concrete the post in first, then finish the installed 2 days later).Very happy with the fully installed line.I look at it with pride, both because we installed it ourselves and it looks great but also because its proof that Australians can still make a quality product.
Looks very durable. I like how the galvanised steel wires can be tensioned much more than the plastic lines on the cheaper hoists. I found it a little difficult to tension the wires through the arms at first but became easier when I used vice grips to thread the wire through the arms. Also follow the tip given in the instructions on tensioning the wires, i.e., wind up the hoist a bit and slide the cross down to meet the breeze break - so when the cross is slid back into place this will further tension the wires. It’s a replacement for a cheaper Hills joist where I had to replace the lines every 3 years or so - and gave up on when the plastic clips holding the lines on the arms started to break and Hills wanted $3+ per clip. This Close Hoist puts the fun into doing the laundry. The room you have to hang out your washing, outside allowing the sunshine and natural breeze to hit every corner/ part of each and every item, they smell and feel fresh - that really, really clean smell fresh.Your washing is done quicker as you have the room for all your items plus some. A welcome change. We bought this clothes line to replace the botchy wooden posts with line that the previous owner had thrown together - think rustic farmhouse DIY..Easily manages the sheets and multiple loads, great to see clothes moving with the wind to dry rather than tying knots into themselves fighting the direction. Breeze brake has been useful! Strength has been excellent so far.Drawn to the Australian made quality, wide spacing and lots of line! Solid construction, easy to assemble and place.
Item arrived quickly. I am Impressed with the overall quality of the steel work so it’s a pity they use a cheap, poorly finished plastic handle rather than a handle witch matches the rest of the clothesline. I can’t figure out why Austral don’t give us the option of a ground socket so the line can be removed if required. I made it removable using my old ground socket. The clothesline went together well and looks fantastic in the backyard.
We needed somewhere to hang our wet clothes,outside with the sun where is wind blows.So we bought ourself a new clothesline;a purchase which was easy and all online.The clothesline is mighty tough and strong,and the assembly did not take long,Although the wire kept getting in a knot,human error was to blame a lot.Communication with your company was clear,and in no time the clothesline was here.It was the cheapest clothesline of its kind,and is perfect; exactly what I had in mind.(Sorry for the poem… I’m a teacher (Maths not English) who just returned from school camp and who shouldn’t write product reviews when she’s tired).
