What compelled me to order this masque is Debasree the influencer. I had thick coloured hair and damaged dry ends so thought why not give it a go ! Yes the full size one is very expensive .. I have been an avowed Aveda junkie for at least 20+ years. I've gone to an Aveda salon exclusively. I have every line of their products, except for Invati. It have thick hair, I don't need more!I recently made an online purchase and one of the items I bought the Botanical light masque. I already have the rest of this line. Luckily. After I wash my hair I 'plop' it and then 'pineapple' it to preserve my waves without frizz.As my hair was drying, the ends were looking like straw. I then added a ton of different Aveda products to my ends. It was like my hair was drinking the products. I have been using this line for about a month and there is no comparison. It was Instant results for my hair. The shampoo was very lathering and moisturizing and the conditioner made my hair feel like silk and helped dramatically with my knots. The leave in overnight serum is my favorite . It has completely transformed my hair. The daytime protectant is fabulous. It is not heavy and don't weigh my fine hair down nor does it make my hair oily. Both the types of mask in this line are fantastic. I can't find a better brand than Aveda!!!! Thank you Aveda for making such fine hair products and thanks for updating all the product lines to better packaging and better ingredients!!!!

I quite liked using the Aveda Botanica Repair Intensive Strengthening Masque: Rich because the past month, I have noticed that my hair has looked very dull and lacked its luster and shine. I have medium-thickness hair and have been trying to decrease my use in hot tools. Even though I do not use heat styling tools as frequently as before, my hair still looked dull. This Aveda hair mask was thick and moisturized my hair very well. I left it to sit after shampoo for about 5-7 mins and rinsed. First off, i'm writing this review because I saw a lot of negative reviews and I want to share my great experience. I guess it didn't work for those people because of their hair type. I have fine hair. My hair went from neon pink, bleached+color remover, rainbow, bleached again+color remover, to dark grey blue. Basically my hair was completely dead by the end of it all and this product allowed it to revive to an acceptable and manageable state. I've tried countless products for "dry, overprocessed, split ends" etc. and they never make a noticeable difference or are gunky, silicon-y except THIS. Maybe if your hair isn't so damaged/bleached just color treated opt for the 'light' version of this product. Even though I have fine hair I like the intense. It is expensive ... Aveda has perfected the mix of ingredients and the divine smell of it makes you want to use it alone!I feel like i might need to use it more to see the benefits of it. It's not as moisturising as I was expecting so when I conditioned and blow-dried my hair I didn't necessarily notice a difference right away. Not sure if I should have used conditioner afterwards? I imagine it's one of those products that you need to use continuously to see the biggest impact. I needed about two quarter sized blobs to cover my bra-strap length hair from mid-shaft to ends.
