Aveda - Nutriplenish Masque Deep Moisture - 200ml

Treatment masques are hair products that I need to use more than a couple of times to determine if they're right for me. Since I only received a sample that barely got me through two showers, this review is more of an initial impression. That said, this conditioner has an interesting sweet fragrance that smells to me like a mix of cinnamon gum and banana taffy and a creamy texture only slightly thicker than a typical face lotion. It rinsed well but not so thoroughly that it felt like I washed all of the beneficial natural oils completely out. While I would prefer if the seed butters were higher on the ingredients list and that coconut oil third ingredient, I would still recommend this for someone looking for a treatment masque that feels just a little more nourishing than a daily conditioner but doesn't need or want a heavier product to weigh down their hair.

The Aveda Nutriplenish Treatment Masque Light Moisture is more moisturizing than its name would suggest. It has a thick consistency which is neither greasy or waxy. It has a pleasant scent that is light and not overpowering. A little goes a long way with this product, so I suggest starting with less than you might think you need. I used the Nutriplenish Treatment Masque Light Moisture as both a mask and leave-in treatment and was pleased with the results in both cases. The first time I tried it as a mask, I used too much and my hair felt a little weighed down. I found that less is more, though, and my long, naturally straight hair was left super shiny and silky the next time. It works well as a leave-in conditioner, if used sparingly. I was so excited to get this complimentary opportunity to try out this Aveda Nutriplenish Treatment Mask! After struggling to get my hair to grow out and look and feel healthier from color treating my hair and the damage from that this was a great product to try. After just the first 2 uses of this hair mask my hair was noticeably softer and healthier looking! I love how my hair has gotten far softer and more manageable after about 7 uses now! It's looking so much healthier and has made my split ends smooth out and not stand out like they used to. The smell was nice and subtle and a little earthy. I am a big fan of all the smells of Aveda products and found this product to smell super similar to what I remember their sap moss shampoo smelling like years ago. So I definitely enjoyed the scent and the beautiful results I have been getting and seeing in just using it for just a few weeks and the fact a little of the product goes a long way!
