Best cream for eczema

I love this balm. My eczema is on my eyelids, normal creams/eye creams irritate it, never improving it. It's an area I shouldn't be using hydrocortisone. Within days I saw an improvement. I have now been using this as my eye cream for 2 years, and in that time, I have had 2 flair ups? And they weren't even that bad. My toddler has mild eczema on the backs of his knees, this cream did wonders for him too. The bottle is massive, so me only using one pump on my eyes, it lasts me for ever. Remember, this is a balm, so it's thicker, lies on top of skin. If you want a cream that's more penetrable, buy the cream in the same range :) Only negative, when you first use it, you need to pump the nozzle 1001 times before anything comes out. Corrected & Healed Over Time

This product is the only product I have found that actually helps my skin improve over time with consistent use. I have mild Roseaca and severe Eczema/Sebboric Dermatitis that when it flares, it is the only thing you see. It itches, hurts, burns, and peels no matter what I do. I had just been through a round of topical medications which may help but sometimes the cure is worse than the disease. Definitely "The Bomb"

I am enjoying using the balm very much. I recently started using Tretinoin and it is drying to my skin, not to mention that we are still in winter. I was concerned that it might be too heavy, but I have also worn it under my sunscreen during the day and it is not too heavy. It is not greasy either. I was very pleasantly surprised at the size of the tube, especially for the price! I am a big Avene fan am looking forward to LovelySkin carrying the Hyaluron product. Give it a try! I think you'll like it!

Disappointed. Not in the product, but in this website

Avéne makes nice products. The XeraCalm AD Lipid Replenishing cream is an excellent moisturizer for those with extremely sensitive skin. I enjoy using it along with several other of their XeraCalm products. However, be wary of ordering directly from this website as several items I ordered directly from this site arrived damaged, including the XeraCalm cream. Not only was the product packaging damaged, but the sterility of its packaging (something Avéne touts to its customers) was highly questionable because the pump was not fully secured onto the bottle when I got it. I had to push the pump into its place. Living in Alaska makes return shipping a massive pain so I kept the product and so far all has been well. Exactly what my skin needed

As soon as you apply this product onto your skin, you feel pampered. I use it for my face. I love it! I was struggling with dry, sensitive skin for too long. No more burning sensation! No more red spots! It feels like a balm (in a luxurious way), but it doesn't sit on my skin. I also don't have that shiny look after applying it. Thank you to the reviewers, very helpful feedback on this product.

Great barrier-repair moisturizer

I have rosacea and unfortunately can't tolerate mineral oil in products. My face just gets red and feels reactive. Something perhaps about it being such a powerful emollient that keeps heat trapped in my skin, but I'm not sure. If you can tolerate mineral oil, this is amazing stuff. I use another lipid-rich product from Avene, called Trixera Nutrition Nutri-Fluid Balm at night that does not contain mineral oil, and I love it. It really helps hydrate my dry skin from prescription medication, but I had to pass on XeraCalm. Otherwise, if you don't also have my specific issue, this is excellent as always from Avene.

Neutral about this purchase. Will not repurchase. My skin seemed tight and dry after trying this for a week as a replacement for the use of the retrinal serum in the morning with my regular cream. I had hopes of replacing the serum and cream with this combination product. I'm not really in love with the container either. I find it somewhat awkward. I do like that it's unscented. (I wish a bigger variety of Avene's products were unscented so I could try them.)For now, I will continue with the retrinal serum and other products in the morning and the retrinal eye and the retrinal.1 with additional cream in the evening.

The best for Dry, Eczema prone skin!

I have suffered from Eczema my whole life. From aveeno, cerave, cetaphil, topicals, and anything "NEA Approved", i've tried it all. I always see reviews from brands saying how "it really works" and I'm always skeptical because none of those products ever worked on me. For years, Kiehls baby moisturizer was a great product for moisture but not so much for addressing my eczema. So from someone with very VERY sensitive eczema prone skin, this REALLY works. The balm is soothing once you apply it on your body and also leaves some what of a sheen making you look dewy and smooth. I have been using this for about a month my and the texture of my skin is as smooth as a newly polished bowling ball.
