Clinically proven to reduce colic and discomfort Nipple is designed not to collapse, for a secure latch and uninterrupted feeding Replacement nipples for Philips Avent Anti-colic baby bottles come in flows 1-4, to keep up with your baby's growth BPA free Bottle Nipple comes in Flow 1 The Philips Avent Anti-colic nipple flow 1 is our slowest flow nipple, which is great for newborns and breastfeed babies learning to drink from a bottle. The anti-colic valve integrated in the nipple is designed to keep air away from your baby's tummy to reduce colic and discomfort. As your baby feeds, the valve flexes to allow air into the bottle to prevent vacuum build up and vents it towards the back of the bottle. It keeps air away from babys tummy to help reduce colic and discomfort. The nipple shape allows for a secure latch and the ribbed design helps prevents collapse for uninterrupted, comfortable feeding. The anti-colic nipple is made of flavorless, odorless, soft, silicone that resists discoloring and stickiness, a BPA free material. Philips Avent Anti-colic nipples are available in different flow rates, to keep up with your babys growth. Use Philips Avent Anti-colic bottles only with Philips Avent Anti-colic nipples.

My 7 month old is breastfed and not a particular fan of bottles. He accepted this one immediately, and the bottle design kept the nipple full. I only had 2 potential issues, and both are honestly hard to tell if it has anything to do with the Philips Avent Anti-colic Baby Bottle or just my son's quirks. First, he drooled a lot more out of the side of his mouth than normal. I switched the nipples to different flows, and he did it with all of them. Second, he was constantly trying to manipulate the bottle and nipple - those who nurse will understand how they push, knead, and pull at the breast as they eat. Again, in case he was thinking the flow was too slow, I tried a faster nipple. I received this product for the Stellar Testing Panel. Unfortunately, my baby was not very fond of these bottles/nipples, just due to the fact that they were a bit big for her mouth, which is small due to growth issues. This is not the first bottle we’ve had this issue with, and in no way do I hold it against the product. So, I am not able to speak on how well the bottle worked for my baby, but I can speak on how it looks and things I found that by first child would have benefitted from. The nipple that comes with the bottle is a size two, which for my first baby would have meant that I’d have to buy separate nipples starting out, since he was breastfed and used a level one flow for a while. The good news is, they have plenty of options on nipple flow. Starting with this level one nipple, which is the slowest flow they have. All of the nipples for this bottle are the same size, which is an issue for my LO due to her small mouth. But, they are very flexible and very much comparable to a breast, which would make going back and forth between breast and bottle feeding much easier and not cause as much nipple confusion. I do think this nipple and bottle combo would help with reducing colic in a baby, just because of the way it works.

I received this bottle nipple set from the Stellar Product Testing Panel. After having tired several different types of bottles/nipples to relieve my little ones excessive gas discomfort I was very discouraged. I was very pleased to try the Philips Avent Anti-colic Bottle With AirFree Vent and the flow 1 nipple 2-pack. Not only is Philips Avent a well known and used brand but their design was quite different from others I have tried. The AirFree vent is a singular piece that once you tip up it locks the formula or milk in the nipple for the rest of the feeding. This allows for paced feeding without the nipple emptying and allowing air into the babies mouth, resulting in more gas and discomfort. This is the winning feature in my book!! For reference (although every baby is different) we used the size 1 nipples until she was 4 months old before sizing up.The only part I was disappointed in was the the packaging. It isn’t a deterring factor as I will still continue to use and purchase the product, but having to buy nipples in increments of 2 when the bottles are sold in increments of 3 creates extras which are not needed.

[Rewarded Review] Great flow rate not so great nipple shape

Thanks to the Stellar Product Testing Panel for providing me with this nipple to test out!My little one is 6 months and started out as a breastfed baby, but due to being premie and not latching, turned into a bottle baby with breast milk. When we were continuing to try and breastfeed and bottle feed, I learned a lot about bottle nipple flow rate and correct bottle nipple shape and latching. This nipple shape is not great for correct latching to avoid air getting into the baby’s mouth. The top of my baby’s lip would curl under and it took a lot of effort to get the correct latch on the nipple which left my little one frustrated and me feeling defeated that it wasn’t just an easy and great bonding time during the feed. The flow rate was too slow for my now exclusive bottle fed baby, but the flow rate is great for a newborn, or breastfed baby that doesn’t need a faster flow rate. The nipple shape also makes it hard to clean really well when washing since it is a drastic change from the base of the nipple to the top. The nipple material was really sturdy and would not be broken down easy for teething babies, so that is a plus! It is also very helpful to have a variety of flow rates to choose from for each stage of feeding!Overall, this nipple may work for some babies and parents, but I wouldn’t recommend for breastfed babies, or parents looking to get a natural and easy latch and easy to clean nipple.

These nipples are very well designed. The Philips Avent Anti-colic Baby Bottle Flow 1, 2 and 3 Nipples were what we used for my 4 month old breast fed baby when he started bottles. He did not have colic, but after using these bottles and nipples he did have less spit-up. These nipples are designed not to collapse so my baby has an easy time feeding from them. I also love that they are so well labeled! Other nipples I have used for my first child have faint markings and I have to search for the numbers. Not with these, they have numbers all around the base so they are easily identifiable, even when I'm groggy in the middle of the night. When he first wakes up in the morning he gets flow 3 because he is so hungry and wants all the milk now! They are dishwasher safe and easy to put on the bottle. No complaints from this momma! I would like to start by thanking the stellar product testing panel for providing me with these bottle/nipple sets. My first impression was that the bottles looked easy to clean and I liked that they were marked up to 9oz but were shorter/wider vs. being tall and skinny. My 6 month old is starting to try to hold his own bottle and the shorter bottle seemed much easier for him to manage/balance. He seemed to prefer the nipples marked for 3months+, but it was really nice to get different stage nipples to try to see what he liked/did best with. The nipples/bottles haven’t leaked, and definitely are a slow flow, which is exactly what we need. The nipple/bottle set up help him to take his bottle feedings slower, and I haven’t had any issues with spit up or gas. They are also easy to take apart/clean/put back together, which is convenient for me. Highly recommend!

Thanks to Stellar Product Testing Panel for the opportunity to test these nipples in exchange for my honest feedback! We used the size 1 nipples in conjunction with the Philips Avent anti-colic bottle. I breastfeed my five month old most of the time, but she does take between 2-4 bottles a week of expressed breastmilk. It took a while to find a bottle that she would accept so I was hesitant when trying these nipples, but she accepted them no problem. Huge win there! Big thanks to the Stellar Product Testing Panel for providing me with these Philips Avent Anti-Colic size 1 nipples. I was very excited to try these size 1 nipples along with the Philips Avent Anti-Colic bottles. The bottle functioned exactly as promised and I was able to easily pace-feed my little guy. An easy switch for this size 1 nipple slowed the flow for my little guy. He has always needed a shower nipple than most - as a full term newborn using ‘preemie’ flow nipples and as a 4 1/2 month old continuing with a size 1 slow flow nipple.I appreciate the ability to easily swap the nipple to adjust the flow rate. These nipples work with any size Philips Avent anti-colic bottle (4oz or 9oz or 11oz). They can be used with or without the anti-colic vent in these bottles, and provide venting when used on their own. Upon a quick online search, these nipples are easy to find and purchase - same-day in stores or shipped to your home.I have no hesitancy recommending these anti-colic nipples to any bottle feeding parent. I look forward to continuing to utilize these in our bottle feeds.

Thanks to the Stellar Product Testing Panel for providing me with this bottle nipple set. I have twin 5 month olds who have very different feeding styles and both are picky when it comes to what type of nipple they will eat from. I was pleasantly surprised to find that both of them loved the Phillips Avent Anti-Colic Bottle Nipples. My son loves to look around and move while being fed so I often struggled with making sure he was not just sucking air out of a bottle nipple. With the Phillips Avent bottle I just had to tip the bottle down once and the nipple would stay full of milk regardless of the gymnastics my son was performing while eating. My daughter has struggled with excess gas and spit-up since birth. These nipples helped significantly decrease how much she was burping and spitting up. She seemed much more comfortable after eating when we used these nipples.Additionally, we found it very useful to have three different nipple sizes to choose from. We tried Level 1, Level 2, and Level 3 nipples to see which one worked best for each baby. It was like Goldilocks. Level 1 was a little too slow and Level 3 was a little too fast but Level 2 was just right for both babies.

[Rewarded Review] Variety of Nipple Flows is PERFECT
20 July 2021

Since day 1, our daughter struggled with reflux and having a hard time getting a good latch. The Philips Avent bottles have been a miracle product! We received the bottle set and size 1 and 3 nipples and it has made adjusting the flow rate super easy. We actually use both sizes of nipples at different times during the day. When our daughter is more awake and alert, we use the size 3 and when we’re putting her down for a nap or bedtime, we use the slower flow since she’s sleepy. My favorite part about the bottles and parts are how easy to clean, sterilize and reassemble they are- mom win for sure! Makes clean up super quick and hassle free.In my opinion, some of the 9oz bottles can be bulky and hard to get a comfortable grip on, but these are lightweight and easy to ... MoreSince day 1, our daughter struggled with reflux and having a hard time getting a good latch. She has a really high palate and would lose suction creating a huge mess by the end of the feeding- also meaning she wasn’t getting every last drop of milk. She never makes a mess anymore and has had less spit ups occurring.Thank you to Stellar Product Testing Panel for gifting us this set of bottles to test and review. We now have piece of mind knowing our baby is getting every last drop of milk and that she’s comfortable.
