I did live these nipples, but have had problems with them tearing recently. I’ve probably purchased dozens of replacement nipples over the last couple of months. The valve at the tip is tearing, which allows milk to flow out even if baby is not sucking. I noticed when washing the nipple that you have to pinch and pull the nipple to release the liquid which is more in line with actual nursing; whereas with other nipples you just have to pinch it and liquid starts to come out; hence, the controlled flow!Other perks: the wide mouth makes them easy to clean, and they appear to be of nice quality that will last.Only con: you may have to invest in all the various flowrates to find what works best for your child, but at least there is variety and options that can grow with your child.Overall, I think these nipples were well designed to closely mimic actual breastfeeding; making them the best option for babies primarily breastfed.

The bottle and nipple set are very simple. My baby is both breast and bottle fed breastmilk.The nipple set is easy to clean and sterilize while staying durable. It is easy to setup in the bottle without too many parts or pieces. The bottle and nipple set are very simple. The nipple also traveled well in a diaper bag and stroller and did not leak any of my precious liquid gold !I liked having different flow rates available to trial for my baby and Philips nipples come in various flow rates to meet your baby’s needs. My baby previously needed a slower flow nipple but now has become a more advanced eater and can use a higher flow rate. The Philips Avent Natural Response Baby Bottle Nipple Set, Flow 3 did take him slightly longer to finish than other comparable nipples, however he still completed the bottle with no fuss each time.I think this nipple flow may be a little slow for overly eager milk drinkers, but would be an excellent choice for moms who wish to continue to breastfeed as it allows for the baby and their caregiver to enforce paced feeding!
I cannot say enough good things about the Philips Avent bottle nipples! First off, the variety of flow options is second to none. We have always struggled to find the perfect slow-flow nipples for our kids. All three needed super slow-flow from newborn to 3 months, and slow-flow from then on. Traditional bottle nipples caused my precious and hard-earned pumped breast milk to flow like a river out of the sides of their mouths. Avent nipples were the ONLY flow that allowed our babies to self-pace enough that they didn’t choke from drips or ‘overflow.’ They offer a variety of flows which makes transitioning from one flow to another an easy process— no overwhelmed eating or choking. This made going back to work so much easier.I cannot rave about these nipples enough! If you’re both breast and bottle feeding, these will make your life so much easier!
