A good all-round saw for most jobs. Unfortunately quality as delivered can be hit and miss. Some perform faultlessly, while others quickly become unreliable or unusable due to many faults. Typical faults for mine are : 1. oil control dropped out during use, saw still usable, 2. air filter doesn't seal around carby so inevitably saw dust clogs up carby and requires cleaning. A simple modification has fixed this, 3. chain brake became locked on to shaft and required removal and fixing When using without the problems the saw is a good performer and requires only rare adjustments to the carby. Good balance and easy to use in tight spaces, but enough power for largish cuts.

The saw started up within a couple of pulls from new. It cut through timber with great power and speed. The only issue I noticed was the chain adjuster isn't as easy to use as other saws that have a more direct system of adjustment, rather than a side adjuster, it was harder to turn and seemed to grab as it was being turned. A basic manual would be good rather than having to download one from the internet, it was hard for me to access a manual. Putting the saw together and operating it wasn't a problem, however there was an unusual looking plastic part that I had no idea where it was supposed to go in the assembly process. All in all, I'm very pleased with the performance of the saw, it's well balanced and cuts like a dream. Thanks!

I have only used this the one time so my review is based on a very limited amount of use. It was easy to put together. It started first pull - always a good thing. I have a smaller less powerful chainsaw that I have been using for a couple of years. I had a medium size tree I had to cut down and have been trimming the branches off with my smaller saw. I deliberately waited until I got this saw to cut the trunk down. The saw sliced through it like butter. I cut the trunk up into fire sized pieces for a couple of years time and I have never used a chainsaw that was so easy to use and cut so quickly. Whole unboxing I couldn't help but notice that this saw was well designed with inbuilt features that more expensive brands possess. Was easy to assemble with only the bar and chain to install. Surprisingly easy to start given its larger engine capacity. While using the saw it had plenty of power to rip through 20 inch + diameter of Australian hardwood such as ironbark and Blackbutt. The bar oil delivery adjustment was easy and we'll located with all the tools needed came supplied and the inbuilt tool holder is a great idea. The only downside I disliked was the air filter material, perhaps there could be a washable foam upgrade? But overall this chainsaw has the hallmark of quality but for a very affordable price. Great all round chainsaw. I have 3 now. All 3 are fantastic, even the original MK1.(Which is 6 years old) Reason why I have 3 is, all saws clog up at some stage, or have niggly issues. So when I'm getting a load of wood in the bush I don't want to be "Mucking around" trying to fix it. I put it down, and grab the next one and fix at home. Three baumr 62cc cost around $450.00. Stihl or husky you are looking at Probably $3500.00. You choose. I like these saws and would definitely get another, if one of them were not fixable. They have all started nicely straight out of the box, and have since. Totally would recomend.
Took a bit to get started on its first start but now it's going great.First cut was through it dirty wood and the chain only just made it through. Have now purchased a tungsten carbide chain and it cuts like a dream.
For those on a budget this chainsaw ticks the box. But if you want a chainsaw that starts with a minimum of fuss this chainsaw is not for you. I have two of the same model and size and both are difficult to start. While struggling to get it to start the flimsy pull start chord snapped. Quality? Once running it cuts well for a budget priced chainsaw. Commercial? Good luck!
I have quite a few chainsaws including more premium brands but I’ve also been using this one for a couple of years. It’s one of my most reliable starting saws and never misses a beat. I’ve even cut up to 60cm seasoned Stringybark. Took a couple of cuts and a bit of time but it did it without too much fuss. This saw is cheap enough that you don’t have to worry about it and can just chuck in a trailer etc. Light weight, decent power and cheap. What more can you ask for!
I wasn't expecting too much considering the 150 dollar price tag, but this saw really surprised me with it's quality. I've only used it about 6 times so far, so I can't really speak for longevity or anything but this lightweight, well balanced tool really packs a nice punch. It glided through many species of Australian hardwoods with thicknesses exceeding 30cm with ease. It was also very easy to start, although you have to be a bit aware of when to use the choke and when not to while cold starting (listen for the first attempt at a catch and then push the choke back in). Warm starts were first pull every time. The only complaint I have is the trigger is a bit sticky, and sometimes takes a few guns to get the saw to idle, which is a bit dangerous. This chainsaw has lots of power, and starts easily. A similar sized chainsaw (in one of the big brands) would have cost me around $800, which i just couldn't justify for the amount I will use it. (I researched at least 3 other big brands for a similar power rating and bar size.) Make sure you keep your chain oil topped up. The chain will stretch a bit when new so keep an eye on the tension after the first few big cuts. It has an onboard socket tool for being able to easily adjust chain tension. When you are finished using it, its a good idea to remove the side cover and blow out all the wood dust (which has been soaked with chain oil) with compressed air, or a brush.
