AMAZING VALUE, this chainsaw was great cutting 5 tonnes of tree into firewood and even able to cut down through stump below soil level, saved bundles on proffessional loppers.WARNING , do not use large chainsaws if you dont have exprience or proffessional supervision.

Much better build than the last generation of Chinese saws, but whether it will last is a whole other thing. The case is now metal, and it has a much better air filter. The bar lube cap is a bit dodgy. These saws are good for people that occasionally cut a tree or two down and into firewood and cant justify paying for a 'real' saw.You get your moneys worth, and chuck them away. You need to do a few repairs yourself usually to keep them going as they are made out of low quality materials and not designed the best. I expect the chain will stretch fairly quickly and it will drop in power, but for now its cutting well fresh out of the box. I havent tried it on its side while cutting down a tree yet, which is when these Chinese things usually play up.

I'm not an arborist. I needed a big saw to break up a stump that was pulled out of the ground at my place. Buying this was cheaper than renting a big Stihl for a couple of days. Last time I hired a saw it was in need of a service and hard to start - what a ripoff! This Baumr-AG is of decent quality for an occasional user like me. From new I put a stihl chain on it and a new sparkplug - my reading of the internets said these were useful upgrades. It works well, starts easily and I couldn't have gotten the job done without it. Downsides - 1) the chain tightening screw is difficult to use. The saw needs cleaning often, else the chain tightening adjustment becomes unworkable. 2) claimed 6hp for the 82CC model doesn't feel like a lot of power. For example, it will get ... For example, it will get stuck in cuts relatively easily. This is probably because of the long bar - lots of surface area for the chain to get pinched. I would buy again, but may consider the 92CC model if I could get it on special. Certainly better value for money than well known brands like Stihl or Husquarvarna.

This saw is great value for money. I only said no on the quality because I haven't given it the test of time. I have done an hours work with it and it has been good, no problems. I would buy another if it did not last, and have one for spare parts
Bought this 82cc Baumr-AG just to see I guess. Looks to be a copy of HUSQVARNA 576 or close to it. Bar quality pretty good better than the chain. Idled a little high at first feels a looks a bit tacky but starts third pull revs and cuts just fine. Not Sure about the 6HP claim but it probably comes close. I have owned and run several farm use saws over the last thirty years . I still have my original McCulloch Pro Mac 700 and on my second Stihl 038 I have had several Husqvarna saws. They are all great saws the problem is their purchase price and the cost of parts. Now I'm retired it is a little tougher to justify the $2000 plus price tag of a Husky 576 or its equivalent. After taking my two larger saws in to our local Stihl agent in Albany WA and being charge $350 to service them I saw red as one was returned DOA . I needed a saw with a 24" bar to cut some long dead Karri logs 30" or so in girth into billets. For the cost of a brand name bar and chain I bought this cheap saw made thirty full bar depth cuts on some of the hardest timber to be found in WA. Paid for itself already. Will never buy another brand name saw or have it professionally serviced. For those in the same or similar situation these saws are a real option. As always of course YMMV I found the reviews ofthis saw particularly useful.
This is my 4th Bummer, the previous 3 lasting about 12 months (which is what I was hoping) when the spark timing went haywire and they completely lost spark. Chose to replace them rather than waste money repairing them as local repairmen only like brand-names. The new model looks to be vastly improved with design changes in the areas where the old ones kept breaking. Performance of the saw was impressive after the new chain was sharpened (it was not sharp and run before it was sharpened). Suggested areas for the next improvement would include the dog (it bent first time I used it), Exhaust (it will start a fire in dry wood if not careful), and fuel line (it required re-positioning in the tank so it could get fuel when up-side down). An option for a 20" bar would ... MoreThis is my 4th Bummer, the previous 3 lasting about 12 months (which is what I was hoping) when the spark timing went haywire and they completely lost spark. An option for a 20" bar would also be good as I now have a good collection of 24" bars along with lots of parts for the older model. Probably not the best option for first-time beginners or for those whose livelihood is dependent on this saw, but if you have multiple saws then this is excellent value for money when compared with the brand names.
We all know that some guys aren't satisfied unless they have the most exquisite equipment on the market. I just need chainsaws. I have used a Baumr-Ag 62cc 20 inch saw for six years and have done huge amounts of work with it. The only problem I have ever had was a bent chainbar because I ran over it with a quad bike. Last year some true monster gums fell on my place...I knew it was too much for the small beast so I got the SX 82 with 24 inch bar. The thing is incredible value. It performs faultlessly doing four or five consecutive cuts in wood which is as thick as the bar is long. I am not a pro, so I just let it idle for a minute or so before cutting again. With big branches etc, just keep going as long as you like.I use my gear a fair bit...I treat tools with ... I needed to chop down some palm trees. Hiring a chainsaw for 16 hours would have cost me $400. Bought this chainsaw for $269 including shipping. Received it extra fast and very surprised at the quality. Doing a great job with the trees.
This is my second chainsaw from Baumr-AG, the first an SX62 lasted me for four years and cut a lot of hardwood before going to the great forest in the sky. I recently purchased the SX82 and after a few issues (see below) it is tearing through trailer loads of hardwood at a great rate. For the number of times a year I need a chainsaw I could not really justify the price of a Husky or Stihl brand. All I want it to do is cut wood a couple of times a year, and that is exactly what it does but there were a couple of speed bumps along the way: 1. The chain oil stopped because the tube from the chain oil reservoir was too short and had come away from the pump inlet nipple, I used a small nylon tie to ensure it did not slip/vibrate off again. 2. Do not assume the engine has been properly tuned. My 82cc engine seemed to be woofully under powered until I tweaked the mixture and got it right, now it powers through seasoned hardwood without any problems. 3. Use the chain supplied but replace it ASAP as it is rubbish and not meant to last, I use the equivalent Oregon chain which I buy online for around $30. 4. The throttle cable on mine needed adjustment to obtain full revs from the engine. 5. Starting it cold needs the following - Start switch OFF. Choke ON. Give it a couple of pulls. Choke OFF. Start switch ON. Get your foot in the handle pressing the throttle button in. It should start on the first or second pull. When warm/hot it will start first pull. It WILL NOT start with the choke on, you will just flood it. 6. Watch your chain oil, it goes through it at a great rate and turning the flow rate down does not seem to have much effect. You can easily burn your chain if you do not keep an eye on your levels. Compared to the equivalent Stihl or Husky sure it is rough and nasty and may only last three or four seasons, but you have to remember you are only paying a tenth or less of the cost for something that will operate at up to 80% of the name brands. The cost/benefit analysis comes down in favor of the Baumr-AG product every time. If you want something that will last you decades then pay the money and pass it on to the kids, your choice.
this is the second one of these chainsaws I have baught they are a great saw for the money have cut a lot of wood with my other one think it would be better if this saw was offered with a 20 inch bar as I have put one on my other chainsaw. I think the saw goes better with a 20 inch bar than with the 24 inch bar. in summery good bang for the buck if you can't afford a more expensive saw will last for years
