Beauty of Joseon - Glow Deep Serum : Rice + Arbutin - 30ml

This serum is amazing! It’s my first real foray into snail products and it quickly made me a believer of the healing and soothing powers of snail mucin. I believe that this product is responsible for greatly alleviating the side effects I was experiencing after the strength of my tretinoin prescription was doubled. I think the peeling and burning would’ve been so much worse if it weren’t for this product, which pretty much put a halt to these issues after one day. So, most people would say that eye creams are gimmicky or that they arent worth the extra cost. I think this eye cream changes the game because of its affordability. Honestly, I wish this came in bulk packaging for the entire face because I feel like it would replace several of the products I use currently. My skin feels so soft and plump wherever I apply this and it stays that way all day. It makes my skin feel unlike any other product or treatment ever has. I cannot even begin to express how this exceeded my expectations, honestly!

Absolutely the best serum I've ever used

I've got very acne prone skin, still affecting me in my late 20s. I use prescription tretinoin and benzac wash to keep it at bay, but it also makes my skin very dry and crepe, especially in winter. I was suffering badly with raisin skin. I picked up this serum along with the noni energy repair cream and my skin has never looked or felt as radiant, soft and clear. I only use about 3 small drops for my entire face and it's more than enough for my skin, and it doesn't feel sticky or irritating ontop of my skin, it sinks in so fast. The combo of the 2 is deeply hydrating, but has not caused any additional break outs, which full disclosure- Korean skincare usually does make me break out. Hydration 100%

I have been using this serum along side other products for almost 3 weeks now and to be honest I did find a slight change in my skin. The texture of the serum is nice not too sticky and it dries great on the skin leaving no grease cast and gorgeous from within glow. I would say that the size is quite small for the price. Another thing, I didn’t breakout from this product which is good for my acne-prone skin. Highly recommend this for dry skin as well. It leaves my skin hydrated with nice glow and pairs well with my other skin care products. And if packaging concerns you, this serum comes in a plastic bottle which I am not sure if it recyclable or not.

Texture is so lightweight, very nice and enjoyable to put on and layer with other skincare. I use it in the PM with adapalene to address my hyperpigmentation and acne/post-acne marks. It hydrates the skin and gives a glow effect immediately. Of course alpha arbutin takes longer to to work, so be patient. But I can already see how it's helping with fresher marks for me. I also use vitamin C in the morning, so both seem to help with older, more stubborn marks. Doesn't break me out, I think kind of calming too due to the 2% niacinamide. Will order again! Pretty affordable for 30ml, compared to other brightening products (except maybe TO, but this is more elegant formulation-wise).

Kinda loved it

I used this serum based on my routine: low ph pyungkang cleaner,My routine includes pyunkang low ph cleanser, pyungkang essence toner, this serum, then hygee moisturizer, then a sunscreen without much moisterizer (because the hygee one already gives a lot of moisture). I don't believe this serum worked as well as I had hoped because i bought this based on how some reviews said they used this during the cold seasons and I live in alaska with the cold season lasting till feb or march starting from august or Oct. I bought it hoping to do the same, and in some ways it kind of did some cleansing, but my skin didn't look any better. It FELT better and ginormously cleaner but it did not look the same as it felt within. For a day it felt like the pimples would stay off, but the next day or two, there would definitely be a new small red pimple popping up somewhere. I have hyperpigmentation on every cm of my cheeks and forehead sides and chin, and the serum definitely tried its best clearing up a few smaller spots, but after I finished up the bottle, it seemed to make a better difference after I stopped. When I took this out of my routine after I finished it all (as i mentioned in the beginning), the toner and moisturizer stood out way better and cleared my skin as if it was magic! The toner I bought and the moisturizer had glowed up my skin and smoothen my skin that I had never thought I would ever reach. I don't recommend this serum if you believe that the other products you have in your routine could do a better job with its better ingredients and quality, but I think this serum could stand out if you made this serum the main point of your routine.

Pretty good for dry skin!

I've only been using four products in my routine lately. Cleanser, essence, serum, and moisturizer. If my skin is super dry than also facial oil. Let me tell you, this is one of the main reasons my skin glows! I use it every night and wake up to flawless looking skin with only three drops on my entire face. I would say that this is amazing for dry skin because it really keeps that moisturizer deep within your skin all throughout the day. Definitely would recommend.

Removes some hyperpigmentation, not all!

I absolutely love Beauty of Joseon products and the Glow Deep Serum is no different. The serum is lightweight and absorbs quickly into my dry, mature skin leaving a dewy finish. With consistent use over 8 months (this is my 5th bottle), my old acne scars and sun spots have lightened but it has done nothing for my age spots. One star off because the serum started drying my skin out after 6 months of use (even with heavy moisturizers layered on top). I recommend this for most skin types looking for a brighter complexion. This may be too heavy for oily skin types and cause acne but I have very dry skin and had no problems.

Subtle Glow for on the Go

this is a nice serum. I use it both morning and night for the antioxidant benefits and a little glow before I go to work in the mornings( otherwise I look like a zombie, ick). I appreciate the alpha-arbuten as it pairs well with my mandelic acid serum and it has helped lighten up my hyperpigmentation on my jawline. however, now that nice Cinema is it basically in every product, seeing it on the ingredients list makes me roll my eyes a bit. Overall it's a great product but I feel like my skin has been overloaded with niacinamide and this just adds insult I to injury. Luckily its in a low percentage.

Just got this so this is just a first impression. I have the glow serum, which I looove, but this seems kinda meh in comparison. The glow serum is thick-ish but lightweight and goes on feeling like silk and gives a nice glow. This one seems much more thin and I can't tell that it's on my skin at all, not by feel or by look. Which is actually kind of a plus, but at the same time is a bit disappointing especially since there isn't even a moisturizing effect. I rubbed some onto the back of my hand and on my cheek but can't tell where exactly it's been applied. I'll wait to see if it does anything for my skin. I doubt it, since I have pretty good skin already, and most products don't seem to be anything more than preventative care for me.
