I use this product every week and more regularly in bad weather. It's easy to use, dismantle and clean out. I use it on all floors and rugs (includes tiles, laminate and wood) and I love that floors dry straight away. As I have 2 long haired dogs, I find it best to vacuum first before I use it, otherwise it gets blocked too quickly with their hair. I didn't find the guidance included in the box helpful as it was all drawings, however, the email with helpful tips was very good and should be included with the product as standard. I find it cleans my new rugs well and keeps them clean, however, it doesn't seem up to cleaning older soiled rugs. I love that regular wet cleaning keeps my home fresh and has cut down on dusting - result.

I was sceptical because of the price and really how good a job can it really do. OMG and I am not saying this lightly. I have wooden floors 3 puppies running in and out dragging all sorts of debris in and out on their paws, along with a humid summer. The floors were not feeling very fresh. I bit the bullet and purchased the Bissell CrossWave Pet instantly the floors were feeling fresher and cleaner very easy to use floors dried quickly. Only issue I had was lining up the stem and clicking onto place and accidentally changing from floors to carpet accidentally. I have used a steam mop and left residue and spots behind. Make an investment and buy one of these you won't regret it. I am a fan.

I'm not sure this product saves me a lot of time, but it does save some and the end result is rexcellent. The floor is cleaned much better than with a mop and bucket. A few things to note before deciding whether to buy It goes through A LOT of cleaning fluid, which is very expensive in comparison to other floor cleaners and I'm not sure if you can substitute with other floor cleaning products. I go through 2-3 water and cleaning fluid refills to do my large floor area A LOT of cleaning fluid. 2 The machine starts to spit fluid and suds when the waste container is less than half full. So you do need to clean it out frequently. That said, it is a very quick process to empty and rinse the waste container. 3. The Bissell Cross Wave Pet is louder and heavier to push across the floor than I expected and it does take 10 minutes to clean the machine after each use. Also I think the cleaning solution will be expensive long term. However it cleans beautifully. I have a black faux-timber vinyl floor and it never looked this good after manual mopping. I clean light grey tiles in the bathroom and it cleans those well also. I have also cleaned a cotton dhurrie floor rug (white and blue) and it cleaned it well it is fresher and cleaner definitely, but did not get all marks out. I also went over my lounge cushions seats, a mattress and a dogs bed, all which looked better and were freshened. And it is SO satisfying seeing the dirt, dust and hair that has collected in the dirty water. ... MoreThe Bissell Cross Wave Pet is louder and heavier to push across the floor than I expected and it does take 10 minutes to clean the machine after each use. I purchased a cordless competitors brand and sent it right back as the suction and cleaning on large areas wasn't for me. This machine however honestly has made life so much easier as my whole downstairs is hard floors and we have a large garden, kids and animals. The cord is fairly long so it keeps a constant power, and you only have to unplug and re plug once. The suction on the hoover element is great it picks up all pet hairs and tree bits that blow in and kitchen spills. I made full use of discounts at the time so reduced the cost - although it still cost more than the competitors cordless version. This has replaced both my GTech Airram and mop bucket for my hard floor areas. I don't like the smell of the Bissell multi floor liquid, it's very expensive and it isn't antibacterial so I (against manufactures recommendation) use an alternative and so far it's worked well. Once a week I properly clean the brushes in the sink and dry them at the machine otherwise they can leave streaks especially if you've previously used it to clean up muddy areas. But again so would a mop. Yes you have to rinse the removable elements after each use (you do otherwise they begin to smell) but you'd have to wash and rinse your mop bucket too and it takes a couple of minutes. It doesn't clean to about 1/2 inch to the skirting boards or corners (it does hoover to the boards not the corners) so once a week I clean the corners and boards with a floor cloth. I've noticed when cleaning under sofas or chairs/tables the brushes don't touch the floor after a few feet i.e the machine doesn't go completely flat so you have to move stuff to get a proper clean in certain areas. Ie the back of the sofa, but I had to do that anyway. You can inadvertently turn it off or turn it to rug setting with your palm as the buttons are so sensitive but it's not a big deal. It's VERY economical with the water/solution, one tank does a fairly large area. Cons aside I personally absolutely love it
I very recently bought the crosswave pet because 30 mins run time with a cordless won’t be enough to do my whole house which is all hard flooring. I’ve used it twice to do all the flooring including kitchen, bathroom, bedrooms, living areas, stairs and a tiled outdoor area. I have a robot vacuum that runs daily to pick up the pet hair etc so for me the crosswave is for mopping and making it easier in doing the areas the robot vacuum can’t get to. What I love is the separation of clean water and the dirty water tank. It’s basically the reason I bought a cross wave. I also got It because head size is a bit smaller than some competitor products. However I found it still didn’t fit into some areas besides toilets etc. so this may be something you want to check. the fact ... MoreI very recently bought the crosswave pet because 30 mins run time with a cordless won’t be enough to do my whole house which is all hard flooring. What I love is the separation of clean water and the dirty water tank. It’s basically the reason I bought a cross wave. I also got It because head size is a bit smaller than some competitor products. However I found it still didn’t fit into some areas besides toilets etc. so this may be something you want to check. the fact that you have to tilt the handle for the brush head to rotate limits your options for using in tighter areas. Even if the head fits sideways if you don’t have space to tilt the machine it won’t work. If you have floating cupboards / cabinets the crosswave won’t be able to clean under them. When you lower the handle to a certain point the head lifts up and therefore doesn’t clean. Same issue applies cleaning under furniture so you have to move your furniture to be able to clean under it. If you have a staircase that isn’t straight eg u-shaped or isn’t open then that is a fiddly job. You do have to change the dirty water regularly. It starts making a loud sound when it’s full but the water has never been at the level of the ‘full line’ on the dirty water tank itself. You end up with dirty water on the floor if you keep using it once the noise level increases. As others have said the edge cleaning isn’t as good as you would want. General cleaning is good. I did my covered outdoor area that was muddy and it did a great job. Being able to pick up the debris and clean the mud at the same time was awesome. I found stain removal particularly in the kitchen wasn’t as good as I had hoped. I use the bissell pet solution and have the trigger pressed constantly but it still doesn’t remove all the kitchen stains. I would say whether you should get one depends on why you want it, what type of home you have and what other cleaners you may already own. This likely wont replace all of your vacuum and mopping needs
This is a great vacuum for cleaning & shampooing area rugs, I love that it vacuums my hard floors & cleans them at the same time, but downside is its quite heavy & it doesnt get into the corners as well as a regular vacuum so I still need to sweep around my skirting boards & corners if the floor is really messy. The cordless version wouldnt have enough charge to do my place in one go so I got the corded, but even though its long, I have to wrap it around my arm so I dont go over it. Its also got a pretty smalll barrel for just doing a dry vacuuming, but it has great suction so I still think its been worth it. You do have to purchase their own cleaning solution for mopping so you dont void the warranty. Im not thrilled about that, but on the whole Im still glad I got ... MoreThis is a great vacuum for cleaning & shampooing area rugs, I love that it vacuums my hard floors & cleans them at the same time, but downside is its quite heavy & it doesnt get into the corners as well as a regular vacuum so I still need to sweep around my skirting boards & corners if the floor is really messy. I purchased my first unit in 2019 and it blew up within a year. Electrical smell and couldn't be used. After many problems with the warranty department it was finally replaced in 2022 with another unit in September 2022. The second unit only lasted 5 months as the pumpno longer works and I am having the same problem with getting it replaced. They want me to send it for repair and I have been told this will take approx. 2 months as I live in North Queensland and their service department is in another state. The quality of this item doesn't even rate a 1 star but I was given no choice as to give it a lemon. Obviously this model has several faults that bissell refuse to replace under its 2 year warranty. Do yourself a favour and buy something else.
Look, the product is absolutely so good. It cleans the floors so well and gets the dirty water off too. Reason why its not 5 stars is just some personal issues. One is that I wish you could adjust the water pressure the machine uses. Like sometimes I want to get a stain off the floor and its just back and forth for a few times till it lifts. Second, when the collection take is full it basically cuts off the vacuum making the scariest noise thinking you have ruined the machine, but you havent. I feel like they should improve this but just adding a light on the hand stick, but overall do love it. The bissel chemicals are okay priced, but sometimes (and I know you shouldnt) I do use a tiny bit of floor cleaner (the eucalyptus one) to clean them, does a great job either ... MoreLook, the product is absolutely so good. I like that it's suitable for my hard bamboo flooring as it doesn't saturate the wood and only takes five minutes to dry. I also clean my hybrid flooring and tiles; it takes about the same time as sweeping and mopping. I vacuum the night before, as I have got a hairy kelpie and vacuum mop with the CrossWave the following day, it's a thorough job, and I hand wipe the skirts and the edges as I go round; I work round in sections and half the time is spent moving the furniture around. With the switch between the CrossWave, hand wiping and furniture moving, I'm constantly changing and don't get any aches. Cleaning the CrossWave takes about ten minutes, the brush cleans itself, and you store it in the floor tray to dry.
