A bit heavier and somewhat cumbersome than other binders but this one is great for ease of passing a knot through a munter and belaying with a Guide ATC or with a munter. The lock doesnt come unscrewed like some other companies carabiners.

I am a Paraplegic wheelchair User and I needed a secure “cleet” for all my keys, car fob, beer openers , Disability radar key, torch and numerous other charms etc.The climbing Black Diamond RockLock Screwgate, is absolutely secure and looks after all my important keys, security gate fobs etc.I have had NO ISSUES whatsoever with this piece of equipment.I did not realise how strong and “chunky” it is until I received it in the post along with another of my choice.Very fairly priced too, I will be back for other items of secure keepers.

while this carabiner is heavy I only use one. I carry it around for peace of mind. My brain just feels better when I use this to clove hitch into my anchor. Any carabiner would work fine, but this one just feels safer, ya know?

I've been using these for a couple of years. Great for belaying, rappelling, anchors, and basically anything else you'd want a carabiner for.As others have pointed out, they screw does occasionally stick. I haven't had much difficulty with it though
Use these exclusively for my belay/rappel devices. Lightweight and affordable, only complaint would be that the tube is very thick and slow/difficult to swing through a grigri. Will definitely be buying more as needed.
I bought this carabiner for specific use with a Munter hitch for rescue use. It is also useful as a racking carabiner because many items can be stored. The carabiner also looks good (always a plus). Lastly, the price is right too.
I use these for gym and crag belays. I like the total confidence and the rounded shape are easy on the rope. They are a bit heavy for gram fanatic mountaineering.It would be great with a litelock version with less bulk and lighter weight.
This Carabiner opens and closes very easily and with the screw gate I feel totally secure on the line with my Kong Duck ascender. It is very light, and the black finish is excellent since I plan to use it in hunting applications while hunting from a tree saddle.
These are really useful for specific belay devices and top rope anchors. I like how large the opening is, but for small hands like mine it can be harder to hold them and check if they are locked. I still prefer these over the auto locking lockers because those are really hard to unlock with small hands.
i use this carabiner primarily at the gym. it big and durable and can easily handle repeated belays all day with confidence. makes belaying with a grigri or an atc easy.
