Blackmagic Design Video Assist Mini XLR Cables

Only needed one to mount a mic on my BMPCC 4K. I tried to find just one at a lower price. But after looking around everywhere I found that many of these cables sold on eBay or amazon are often not shielded. It wasn’t worth the chance. I bought these. They work great. A good length for mounting a mic on the camera No extra cable to have to deal with. And it’s nice to have an extra just in case.

Audio excellent

bmpcc 4k has 2 audio inputs but this is by far the best way. xlr input sounds amazing. really appreciate the build and design. used it with sennhesier mkh mic and it supplied phantom power as well

Great length and durability

These cables are the perfect length for going to an on-camera shotgun mic without having to get another extension involved. They feel really well made, and the mini connectors have no risk of coming unplugged on their own.

Just the right product for the job!

Just the right product to get the job done correctly. Using the Black Magic Pocket 6K Pro with the combination of the right microphone required an XLR to mini XLR and this pack was the solution. Great quality wires and heavy duty connections.

Glad to have found this available on Adorama. Works perfectly with the Pocket Cinema Camera 4k and adds excellent balanced XLR audio into the camera. Would likely work best with an A box style XLR channel splitter so you can input left and right channels independently.

No cons.

With 2 of these, I'm able to send Zoom F4 sub out to 2 BMPCC and therefore have immediate audio backup and all 3 tracks are representative of audio recorded from a single microphone. They are well constructed but I still secure them with Velcro to minimize tension. No cons. I recommend these.

Perfect

These are the perfect length to work with my Canon C70 rig. Clean sound when using either Sennheiser MKE 600 or Rode NTG4+ microphones.

Use With Tender Loving Care

I appreciate Blackmagic for designing a built in XLR input on their pocket cinema cameras. I tested this and it works as expected. My only word of caution is to be gentle while attaching, detaching and using the mini XLR plug. To be safe, I zip tied the cable firmly to my 15 mm rod setup so as to do my best to prevent the input from being ripped out of the socket accidentally by careless crew. Basic preventative measures will hopefully minimize accidental damage. It's a good product.

Works Perfectly

This cable allows me to use all of my existing XLR mics and cables with my BMPCC4K. There's really nothing to review. It either works or doesn't. This works. Not to detract from this cable's design, But I strongly suggest using these cables with an appropriate cage and proprietary cable clamps so as not to put undue stress on the connection point which could be damaged with a little less than rough use.

Works as expected! I had to use another xlr cable for some more length to my sound board and everything worked out great!
