This Bosch nanoblade is great. Easy to use went through 2 cm branches like butter. Will recommend too all my friends. Only hope mitre 10 will stock replacement Blades. Well worth it

A very handy tool which works well. You have to put some power to cut medium branches. There is a hole in the outer casing just below the 'made in germany' text where you can put a drop of oil on both side just before you use it which helps significantly Overall I'm very impressed with the tool and am glad I added it to my woodworking collection, I would definitely recommend it for doing smallish jobs up to about 2" diameter.

I bought this to replace a reciprocating saw that I have used for years. The major new benefit is that this model can do plunge cuts, something a jigsaw or reciprocating saw cannot. It cuts fast and cleanly and has little tendency to kick back or any other traits. Only used it on one job so far but very happy with it.

Just the right tool for cutting plywood and plastics. I use it for my hobby building wooden models and my wife likes it cutting tree limbs. Might have to buy a second one for her.Nano blades are a bit expensive and not readily available in OZ.
Good little saw for getting into awkward places where a pruning saw would be difficult, but I don't think it cuts any faster than a hand saw. Handy if you're not very good with a saw. Wish I'd gone for the larger one though.
Compared to a reciprocal saw this slow but quiet and requires little energy. Crucially, it works where a reciprocal saw cannot be used one-handed and the branch needs to be held steady so as to stop it shaking with the reciprocal motion and preventing the saw from cutting. It also avoids tear-off at the end of horizontal cuts (for vertical cuts you should still do a back cut first).The battery seems to have plenty of run time and it comes in a nice hard case which also holds the charger.This is also an alternative to loppers but if you have dozens of branches to cut and they are not too thick, you will want to use the latter as it is so much faster.
I've given it a hopeful 5 stars, as I haven't taken it out of the box yet.It is my husband's birthday present to me, which is this Tuesday. He doesn't know what he has got me (lol).
Saw this product tested on the "crazy Russian" hacks on TBD......he cut a 2x4,2x6,limbs & so on. It wasn't swift cutting or anything but in the cutting I couldn't hear your typical battery drain or strain. It cut as you'd expect with something like this; bad reviews say it cuts too slow......ITS A NANO SAW! Like someone taking an antique or collectable to a pawn shop (not naming them) & expecting to get what it's worth. Be reasonable concidering the product or it's size. Can't wait to get this & try it I will follow up with a review
I was very impressed with the quality of this mini chainsaw. Not only is it built well, but it performs better than I expected. I use it for pruning trees and have even cut down a small tree.I wouldn't recommend using it on sappy wood because it sticks in the chain, but as soon as you cut dry wood all the sap cleans off itself.Works great on small projects or even wood carvings on a small scale. Would do perfect detail work for someone who does large chainsaw wood carvings.If purchased in the US make sure to get a power adapter for the battery charger to plug in. Extra blades and batteries are hard to find if you live in the US, but luckily I planned ahead when I ordered and got everything I needed first.
this is a great little item, it was invaluable when I was doing tricky cuts on several floating floors and then some pruning of some overgrown fruit trees!! my only bad point was the cost of replacement blades as the teeth are way too small to sharpen! The blade however did last, as I said, through a fair bit of work and is still ok on softwood
