This Sander has replaced my previous Bosch Sander that was around 30 yrs old! so I am well experienced to write this review. If you haven't owned one of these Sanders before I can highly recommend that you purchase one.. you are in for a real treat! The Sander is very unique in the way it operates, it does not have a direct drive but uses a type of clutch drive, also it runs in an orbit not a circle and it also vibrates. A big feature is that it will not leave swirl marks on your work. I have in the past used my older model to refurbish timber Table Tops and the outcome is suburb.. The Sander is very easy to use and is not fatiguing to operate, the dust extracting on the newer model is also excellent, which was a problem on my older one. Great sander easy to use. As other reviews say - dust catcher fills quickly and does leak a bit. But no biggie. I think it’s Fab and I’m eying up other items I can sand

This thing hums! Adjustable speed for varying surfaces. Sturdy case with space for additional sanding pads etc. Appears to be well made and the Bosch brand has a decent reputation. Perfect for sanding furniture etc.

Great sander for the price, it’s quiet and stable in hand not too much vibration for the user.Also really like how it comes in a case, not many tools do these days.
Great sander, works well, not too noisy, the dust catcher does a good job catching the dust, but it’s quite hard to open. Apart from that really pleased with this sander!
Excellent quality product, however I did not realise that the 3 different heads did not come with the unit, I did not realise I would have to purchase two other heads to use for doing different jobs.
Purchased 1-2 years ago. Good little sander, plenty enough power for rough lumber, often don’t need to use on full power. Never had any issues.
Bought to sand a window frame. It threw the sanding disc after 10 minutes use. Tried to re-attach it but it would not stick. Took it back and was told I used it wrong as I sanded too close to edges. Went home and tried again with a new disc. This lasted 5 minutes on a flat surface. Took it back and asked and was given a refund. Then looked at other reviews online and this is a common issue with Bosch sanders and has been for years.
The sander is easy to use, and does a good job. I have been redoing the front of our house, decking area, privacy screens etc and this has sped the job up immeasurably. I think the only flaw (and it is a slight one) is the dust collector leaks and more seems to come out the sides. This is easily wiped away.
Wore out my old bosch sander after many years so purchased this model as a replacement.Ergonomicaly it seems all wrong. Made the mistake of emptying the dust collector, what a pig of a thing to reattach, cant get it over the last bit of the o ring so it keeps on falling off. Im going to buy a Dewalt and sell this on TradeMe
