Does everything it says it will do. Good design, nice shape. We used it with carbon filters and one of the first times we used it we cooked fish. Then the next time we turned it on it seemed to pump the old fish smell back out. We cleaned the filters and put them in the sun and have not had another issue since. Light is really bright.

A good budget priced unit. Reasonably well made given the price point. Makes me wonder why you need flame resistant ductwork when the fan and exit duct for the unit are plastic so in a flame up or fire I am not so sure it would not melt. Also if you are taking the duct cowling to the ceiling you ave to cut the cornice to slot in. Would not recommend the Abey RHH6 ducting kit as that unit gives you a piece for the ceiling peno that will not fit inside the Bosch cowling.

Very happy with this product especially with my tiny kitchen. Not sure whehter I can put metal grease filter into my Bosch dish washer. I used to do that with my old rangehood which was so convenient.

I was a little concerned about the noise level after reading reviews before ordering but went with it as I have other Bosch appliances I am happy with.It’s a basic system, does what it says. There does seem to be a ridiculous jump in power from 2-3 and not much between 1-2 settings. I think 2 should have been more powerful to even it out a bit. You certainly notice the fan on 3 - I could probably stand outside and dry my air in breeze from the vent. Loud, but it’s not painfully so.
This was claimed to be a stainless steel rangehood. But it rusted within 9 months of purchase.There were similar rangehoods in the market from other brands whose price was around $300. I choose to buy Bosch because I trusted the brand, and I was deceived by the tag that said "Made in Germany." And the Product Description said it was stainless steel. I am totally disappointed and unhappy to find that it rusted and was not made of stainless steel.Bosch customer care are going to send a specialist cleaning kit; cleaning kits won't just do the job, it will rust again, because it's a kitchen appliance and vapour/steam cannot be avoided.
Works effectively but makes a lot of noise. Should have paid more attention to the db info.Also the flue extension provided was uselessly short. Had to order a longer extension direct from Bosch (which cost more than 50% of what we paid for the canopy range hood!)
This rangehood was easy to install and is reasonably quiet. Great lighting over our stove top and easy to operate. Highly recommend for a small kitchen space area
Bosch canopy dwp66c50a rangehood works well when cooking steak and all sorts but 3rd setting is very loud and i can hear fan from a few rooms away and when in same room i cant hear the kids or conversation. I understand some may not need 3rd level but I do comparing to my old Ilve brand. Its clear now that Ilve was quieter than this bosch so this seems loud to me. Almost annoyingly loud if cooking for a while but if you are used to a fair amount of noise then probably wont bother you. Works well though.
I bought this rangehood 2 months ago and had it ducted. It works well but it sounds like a jet engine in your kitchen! It has 3 levels of extraction and both 2 and 3 are very loud. It is a relief to turn it off!
Extremely disappointed.... the flue is very small!!! I. Going to have to manufacture an extension to suit... BOSCH doesn't sell multiple sizes????!!!!!!The extraction is good BUT VERY LOUD!!!!!.....
