Can’t fault this machine! I’ve been a top loader girl for my whole adult life but with a growing family and using tank water we needed something with more oomph. This Bosch front loader has been a game changer, our clothes are the cleanest they have ever been. Although the cycles are longer in general, speed perfect option cuts that down significantly. I like a long wash for cloth nappies and heavy soiled kids and work clothes. Temperature controls are ace too, no more hot water inlet needed! The control panel was lose after a few uses, Bosch had a local tech out who fixed it in a 20 minute visit. I am one or very happy primary washer indeed !

When my 22 yo front loader finally died, I went looking for a new machine. First time customer of a Bosch washing machine, and I couldn't be happier. I've put a few loads through now, found it very easy to use, and it is so very quiet. I can hardly believe how quiet this one is - my previous one was quiet, but this one is even more so. I need the beep at the end to tell me it's finished because otherwise I wouldn't know. I had to use the manual to figure out which compartment of the pull-out drawer to put the powder in, but other than that, it's pretty straightforward and intuitive to use. I don't know if it's in my head, but clothes have been coming out cleaner than that of our previous machine. Choosing wash temperature is something new to me, but incredibly handy for different types of washes (darks, lights) and then having the RPM selectable is also super useful for different fabrics. We are very happy with our purchase and would happily spend the extra to get German-made quality products from Bosch in the future.

I bought this Bosch washing machine to replace a Bosch Clasixx washing machine (front loader) that i had for 10 years. This new machine has the power cord at the bottom of the machine. It is not as long as my previous powercord (which was from the top of the machine). The designers need to make the powercord at the bottom of the machine the same length as the top of the machine as this has caused a problem. The power cord does not reach my power point like the old Bosch model. I have had to move my machine forward 20 cm which takes up laundry space. Bosch designers need to take into account customers who expect that the product will be like for like when replacing an old to a new washing machine. I purchased the premium set-up package as I live by myself and can not do the lifting required to reposition the dryer back on top of the new washer i.e. column set up. When it first arrived, it smelt terrible. The rubber used to make the bellow between the door and drum had a heavy plasticky rubber smell to it. This took four months to dissipate, even with multiple 90 degree hot washes, bicarb soda and washing machine cleaner. Most annoyingly, is the smell was leeching into the washing, so everything washed in the machine began to have that same smell. Having a rubber bellow was also new to me on my own machine, as my old Asko didn't have one - it's a shame that there isn't more washing machines like that. It is also disappointing that the outer drum is made from plastic, not stainless steel, as was the Asko. The plastic inner drum seems to hold more dirt to it, meaning more maintenance washes if there is any heavy residues or lint/dirt heavy laundry. Overall, it is a reasonable washing machine, but I wouldn't want to have paid the recommended retail price for it.

This is a very very quiet machine, even when on the fastest spin cycle. Quite an upgrade vs our earlier series 4 7kg machine. It is great to be able to choose temperature and spin rate for each program. The 15 minute program is really good. My third Bosch washing machine all have been very reliable and none had any issues, hoping this will be the same (we only upgraded to newer washing machines due to moving etc, never had any issues with Bosch). We also bought a Bosch 8kg heat pump dryer and stacked it on top of this, very happy so far. Highly recommended.

The only time it makes a noise is at the end when the beeping alerts you it has finished, this will continue intermittently until you press the power button to turn it off. Some may find this annoying, however I think it is a good feature in case you didn't hear it the first time (in another part of the house). I mainly use the Cottons program on "Speed Perfect,", but I love that there are so many programs for whatever exact needs you have. You can adjust the temperature and speed for each type of cycle and the Start/Pause button often comes in handy when I find something else to throw in after it has started the wash. I also use the PAUSE button when I want to soak things (particularly white sofa covers) which may be stained or just to get things extremely white when using Stain Removers. This way I can let the detergent mix through the items, then pause it to soak for however long I like, then press start again and it will continue to cycle. Sometimes I do this on and off in the same cycle 5mins rotating, 10mins soaking, 5mins rotating, 10mins soaking etc. Tough stains come out incredibly well using this method! I also like that it has a timer, so if you want to have the clothes washed at a particular time or ready for a certain time you can load the machine and delay the washing until you're ready to hang it out. Great for if you want to have the clothes ready to hang out in the morning, rather than wasting precious sunshine waiting to load and process a wash in the daytime. Just load it the night before and set the timer for when you get up = washed in your sleep! (Or load it before you go to work and set it to be finished for when you get home again.) If pressed, the only thing I find a tiny bit annoying is how sensitive the touch pad is if you incidentally touch it slightly (even a soft cloth brushing against it can trigger it) as this pauses it, but this is a minor thing which really is of no concern as it doesn't happen often. All in all, I love this machine! Made in Germany, Whisper quiet, Looks good, Clothes washed better and in better condition than any other washing machine I've used! I have told family and friends about how good it is whenever they are out looking for a new washing machine - I'll never buy another type. BoSCH please don't ever stop your German Made models! They are the best!
