Purchased this soundbar and 700 bass module about a year ago. I recently began to notice annoying rattling sounds coming from the bass module. I thought the speaker was damaged but it turned out to be a wifi issue. I rebooted my router and the problem was fixed only to have it happen again several times! As it turns out, many others who bought this had the same issue! Bose support said to use the wired option to the sub instead which completely negates this as being a wireless speaker if it needs to be plugged in! The other issue which happens constantly is unpairing of the remote from the soundbar! I have had other problems with bose products in the past... the bose wave system crapping out after a year, 2 pairs of bose companion 2 PC speakers having sound issues ... MorePurchased this soundbar and 700 bass module about a year ago. The 700 model soundbar will create an excellent sound without the mess of cables from previous surround systems. If you also buy the wireless bass it will take you to another level. If you want to impress your friends or family members, these is the way to go for.Is an Excellent way of enjoying music and movies.I have two 700 Soundbars and I’m still impressed. Bose it’s an outstanding brand. The quality of the equipment and Apple App are above and beyond.Highly Recommended.

I purchased the soundbar to replace my home theater setup (separate AV and 5 speakers+sub) in the living room as I wanted to streamline the decor. I tried other soundbar systems, such as Sony HT-Z9F and Bose Soundbar 500 prior to settling on 700. I found that Sony produced a very flat sound without any depth, and 500 was not powerful enough for the space. Therefore, I settled on Bose Soundbar 700, with a 700 sub-woofer.While the separate components will produced a more powerful sound, I found the 700 system matching my previous system quite closely. I enjoy the sound quality and it has more than enough power to fill the room. Keep in mind that the sub is a must to produce a really low base. I will also add the surround sound speakers at a later date to complete ... MoreI purchased the soundbar to replace my home theater setup (separate AV and 5 speakers+sub) in the living room as I wanted to streamline the decor. Bose 700 series is a great sound system. I upgraded my 300 series from 4 years ago to the 700 series today. While Bose Sound continuously impresses me on each series, the setup for this series is poor.I managed to plug it all in correctly, connect it to my phone for setup. once setup was complete it required to an update which said it would take 25 minutes. 2.5 hours later it was still not done and resulting it being stuck in update. After another half hour and countless reboots, it sorted itself out, however Bose simple setup idea is not at all working for them.Overall; product is fantastic, the sound coming from the sound bar and the bass module is incredible! wont be looking back at changing this system ever again, however the setup for connectivity needs to ... MoreBose 700 series is a great sound system. I bought this a few weeks ago. I love the sound. However, it has seconds of breaking up. Just a word here and there, but it's annoying. The Bose website says to try using the optical hook up instead of the arc, but I bought this sound bar BECAUSE I want to use the arc. I'm going to call Bose today to see if there are any other fixes. While searching online about it there are many posts on Reddit from others having the same issue who keep getting told that Bose is working on an update to fix it but it's been months. I'm still in the return window with Costco so if they can't help me fix it, it's going back.
I bought this a few months ago. It sounded great at the store. I brought it home and plugged it into the TV and the wall outlet. Easy enough. Didn't need instructions for that. The soundbar amplified sound but the dialog was still hard to understand. The included instructions only stated the obvious: how to plug in to tv and to wall outlet and to download an app for the rest of the set-up. The Instructions there on the app were too large to download, view, or print. I got no where. App wouldn't "find" the soundbar either. So we used it that way for a few months until we got fed up still not being able to watch anything because we couldn't understand 80% of what was being said. Loud didn't equal clear audio. We then paid for a professional installation. They did all ... MoreI bought this a few months ago. It sounded great at the store. I brought it home and plugged it into the TV and the wall outlet. We then paid for a professional installation. They did all sorts of things I never would have known to do nor figure out how to do them without instructions. To be cleared, the box wasn't missing instructions, Bose expects people to download them from their app. But like I said, they were too large. The included remote isn't needed. Total experience setting this thing up was a nightmare. One shouldn't need a smartphone nor an app, nor pros to use a soundbar for a TV! Clear and complete written instructions should ALWAYS be included in the box. If the remote isn't needed, why include it? Save the money and include instructions instead.
First of all Bose remote is so bad it alone constitutes a lost star. It is Huge. Also solid black the bottons only slightly light up. Complicated, uses way too much real estate and you will be unable to see it.Next star off for set up. It comes with nothing. Zip zero instructions. Every thing is magically supposed to come on the Tv direst up except sometimes it doesn’t. The tech answered quickly however the steps I had to do were ridiculous and it took forever.Speakers sound great.
We bought our new Bose sound bar about a month ago to replace our older Bose system that we had for many years. The new one lacks the rich base sound that our old unit had as there is no separate woofer with this one. Better sound quality is achieved only if the volume is quite loud, but sounds tinny and hollow at lower volumes. Had I known this, I would not have purchased it. At over $500, I expected better sound quality from the highly respected Bose company. Also, the sound bar has no volume indicator or power light like the smaller version. Very disappointed and may return it.
