This iron has one heat setting that is supposed to be suitable for all clothes. I find it does not get hot enough for items like denim and linen. Ironing takes much longer. It takes a long time to heat up and it does not 'beep' to remind you that it is on. I find this frustrating as I turn it on and walk away to let it heat up and invariably forget about it. It glides nicely but the cord projects at an odd angle and tends to get in the way. Overall an iron that I wish I had not bought.

Highly recommend this iron. It’s made ironing so much easier with its many features. It adjusts the temperature itself and easily slides over buttons. I’ve found the steamer feature to be great for my linen clothes.

This the second Texstyle 9 iron I have purchased because I was so happy with the first one. I think the first one lasted about 5 years, which I consider acceptable. It still works but the water chamber seemed to get a bit rusty and occasionally spit out rust-coloured steam. Even so it still works and I am keeping it for when I next go on holiday because it is ten times better than the irons in holiday accommodation. I suppose there might be more fancy irons out there but I like this because it irons everything nicely, even linen, and it is impossible to burn anything because the temperature automatically adjusts to the fabric.

Pros: Decided to spend a bit more on an iron this time around and well you get what you pay for! This iron is the best thing, so easy to use and not having to change the temperature setting is absolutely brilliant and works great. Bye bye burnt sole plate! Perfect ironing every time. Love, love this iron.Cons: No. Could be a little heavy for some people.
Been using for a few weeks now and doing the job brilliantly. Read a lot of reviews about the auto heat setting not getting hot enough but we've found it worked well across all our clothing as well as heavier table cloths. the longer cord is a huge plus and I personally like the fact that its a heavy iron, feels solid. It generates a lot of steam which is great but also means you'll need to fill regularly
I detest ironing, but this iron is the bomb! No need to guess what setting, it detects automatically, and glides over the clothes with little effort on my behalf. I haven't changed iron brands in over 20 years, I'm glad I did.
I had the Texstyle 7 series before this one and I was very happy with it.On the Textyle 9 you cannot select the temperature- it is done automatically. It leaves creases in the cotton clothes as it does not get hot enough.It did not come with the extra plate for ironing delicate fabrics or black fabrics so as not to leave iron marks (supplied with the 7). I do not like this iron and wish I had bought another 7 Seriies
Purchased online end of December and arrived last weekend. Overall it had very good reviews and I needed a new iron. It has a good shape, and glides nicely as advertised, however, all irons do when new. The only excellent feature with this model is its long cord, which frankly should be a standard on all irons, as they are generally too short. Whilst it is nice not to have to adjust a heat dial for different fabrics, this model does not produce enough steam to take creases out of cotton and linen, and the steam boost for these fabrics only works well when the reservoir is full, so if boost is used a lot ( and it needs to be for shirts, and bed-linen etc) you need to keep refilling the reservoir, despite its fairly generous size. The handle has too many buttons and is very uncomfortable to hold. I also find myself constantly spraying water on all my clothes due to the positioning off the spray button. Performance is as excellent as all my other Braun irons but the handle has a major design flaw.
I loved my old iron; but it finally died. wasn't sure if another would live up to its standards. I am impressed with the quality and functions of this iron. Strongly recommend.Strong durable plate, heaps up quickly.
