The powerful 2400W element together with the innovative Butterfly heating element evenly distributes heat across the surface and up the sides. I thoroughly researched woks available on the Australian market and this one lives up to the reviews.It's actually possible to get a proper search on meats, even a fair way up the sides. It's large enough for decent-sized stir fry portions and the steamer insert is large enough that we haven't had to use our stack of bamboo steamers.It's certainly worth the price difference from other woks on the market.

Everything we wanted and more! Technology has moved on, since we last bought and used a non-stick pan. This wok is great, reducing enormously the amount of oil we use in stir-fries. No catching, or burning of food - the temperature good and even around the wok surface - and also so easy to clean afterwards. Huge capacity, makes moving food around while stir-frying very comfortable, without worrying about tossing veggies out over the side :)

It's huge in comparison to the normal stove-top wok, but so much less mess is created by food remaining in the wok. The intense heating element is fantastic and really creates sizzling food. The stainless steel steaming colander is so large it will take a whole duck/chicken. Another great Breville product.

This is my second breville wok, and only upgraded after many years with my first one as a friend damaged the non stick surface by using metal utensils in a harsh way. This one works as good as the last one I had before the unfortunate damage, plus the addition of steaming. Easy to use, great food results, and as per my last wok, easy to clean. The bonus is the steaming basket. Great appliance. I can’t speak for other brands, but this does all I expected plus more. Very happy customer here!
If you are looking for an electric wok and a steamer you won’t be disappointed with this one! Steams and stir frys beautifully. I have had no issues with this, it does exactly as described.
Loving this wok. Was able to cook batches of food quickly on Sunday’s for the week ahead. Saved lots of money this way and ate much more healthy vegies and stews.Haven’t yet used it as a steamer though.
This replaces my old breville hot wok which lasted 17 years and whose only fault was a breakdown in the non-stick coating. Its large capacity means you can do stir fries, stews, curries etc for large groups of people. Haven' t tried the steamer yet which is a new addition.
The wok’s size is excellent. When I made a vegetable stir fry, the vegetables were crispy and ready in less time than cooked on the induction hot plate.Also, the steamer is great as well as it’s capacity.The only issue is that whatever setting it’s on, the temperature doesn’t remain constant. When the wok reaches a particular temperature, the cooking slows down instead of maintaining the desired temperature. As a result, the setting constantly needs to be changed.
I had the previous Breville Wok for many years before the coating seemed to weaken and allow sticking. This new wok is even better. The steaming basket adds new functionality. The heat generated by the wok is excellent. The dial settings relate to what you are trying to do so you can use the right amount of heat. I can't comment on durability yet but as the old one lasted so long I expect the same from this new one. Expensive but happy with the purchase. The first delivery of tjis new one had an issue with the wok locking to the base. Appliances Online dealt with that for me and a replacement sent. Great service, as usual
I christened this wok with a curry to make a curry pie. It is much larger than my last wok, can easily accommodate a family or a social occasion & then some. The different temperature settings are a bonus but the best feature is the locking mechanism. Unlock the bowl to make cleaning much easier. Love cooking in this wok. Am looking forward to trying the steamer.
