I used the fast slow go to make Beef Goulash and the honey yoghurt. I initially found the manual quite overwhelming to read because of all buttons and options but after having a thorough read, it all made sense and I found the machine very versatile! I liked that I can do searing and slow/pressure cook in the same machine - saves having to wash more things! The initial 'new machine' smell was a bit off-putting but it did go away after following the instructions on the manual. When I made the goulash, the preparation had some pros and cons. The searing process was a bit slower than a frying pan on a gas stove as the cooker didn't stay in the same temperature, so if it wasn't for the e recipe I would've just used a frying pan for the browning of meat so I could ... I cooked the goulash for dinner with friends and it was definitely a hit - people wanted seconds but there was none left!

I have had 2 of the Fast Slow cookers in the past and still have one as a spare. When I heard the Fast Slow Go had a Sous Vide function, this is the feature which made me purchase this product. We use the Sous Vide option quite alot now (as we had the Anova previously). The temperature is very accurate (we have tested this too out of curiousity). What I would suggest however is to have a 'pause' option if you want to open the lid for any reason once the Sous Vide has already reached temperature. If you press the start/stop button and press start again, the cooker goes to 'preheat' function so you need to wait another 10 to 15 minutes before it reaches 'temperature', even if we haven't added anything else into the cooker. The other option is to just open the lid but the beeping and flashing 'LID' text does it job of getting me to close the lid quick smart! When using the pressure cook function, I have used the no touch steam release functions which is a great improvement on the Fast Slow cooker. I no longer need to a long wooden spoon to release the steam and now my fingers remain steam free! The cooking options provide users with default settings for each type of cooking (eg: soup, stew, meat, etc) and these can be changed. The stainless steel bowl is a huge thumbs up from me. I no longer need to worry about scratching it and it cleans so much better than the non-stick bowls on other cooker. I love the option to have low through to high slow cook option as it gives me option to control the temperature on the slow cook function. Removal of the lid is easy and also the improved larger drip channel around the cooker edge is so much easier to clean with a sponge. The catcher to collect excess water at the back is held in place really well without the risk of it breaking and never staying in place (as is with my other cooker!). We use this cooker as our main appliance now and although we still have our Fast Slow cooker as a spare, the improvements and additional function (Sous Vide) included in the Fast Slow Go is why I am giving this a 5 star review.

After doing my research (and already trusting the Breville brand), I was fairly confident I’d found the perfect product for the best price. Something I had read about the Fast Slow Go is that it is a cooker for more experienced cooks. If you're someone who wants some degree of automation and programability, while still maintaining overall creative control, this is your machine. Its quality build is sturdy and tactile. This latest update has done away with the large digital screen/dial, opting for clearly labelled buttons and a small digital display instead. I've found this to be much more straightforward and not overly busy. After having this for just a couple of weeks, I've gotten maximum use out of it, cooking dinners nearly every day, experimenting with settings ... I've used 9 of the 12 settings already and cooked in both pressure cook and slow cook modes. The ability to brown meat beforehand is a major bonus. There is so much you can do with this thing! But like any technology or kitchen tool, there will always be some degree of learning required through trial and error to get the best results. There isn't much to say in terms of criticism, aside from that I wish I had this years ago to save literal hours of time in the kitchen.

Purchased from Harvey Norman at Erina. What a bad mistake. It says on the Breville website that the slow cooker setting, tenderizes the meat. Crap!!!!! Very disappointed with it. I want a refund , as the product doesn't do as it is advertised. Its that bad. Have cooked 3 Legs of Lamb , 2 Corned Beefs, 3 Stews and 2 Hock Soups and all came out crap. Meat never tenderizes at all. The Book says there is a "Low", "Medium" and "High" setting for the slow cook part of the Breville Fast Slow Go. But it doesn't work on medium. Using the + or -, brings up "Low" or "High". Even on High the lamb is tough as nails. I ask Breville to comment on its product as I believe it is very misleading regarding the "Slow Cook" function of the product. And NO!!! I haven't tried the steam ... When I received the Breville Fast Slow Go cooker, I was ecstatic. It was generally already assembled in box except for plug and condensation drip cup. Where the condensation drip cup goes needs to be properly illustrated in the manual as instructions were quite confusing. I don't like the many parts of the cooker lid which need to be disassembled for washing, as I can see it is quite easy to lose sealing nut if uncareful. Ideally: a click on mechanism for attachment to the lid arm. Love: saute function, although it's hot enough at the base to cook the meat I had accidentally touched the top part on occasion and did not burn or hurt. The locking mechanism works all too well (safety always). The cooker could have also come with an additional lid to accompany the ... The cooker could have also come with an additional lid to accompany the cooking vessel for storing purposes, as it is intended to make a large serve of food. We had to cover the rest of the cooking up with clingwrap to store in fridge. Display panel needs indicator to show when it is activated.
I previously owned the original Breville Fast Slow Pressure Cooker. When this eventually stopped working after many years, I decided to "Upgrade" to the Fast Slow Go. Unfortunately my bar was now set very high, and I was very disappointed on how this newer model performed. The original unit got very hot quickly, and was able to sear hot and fast. It also got to pressure very quickly. I found the Fast Slow Go never really got hot enough for a good sear, and took at least 3x longer to hit the target pressure. On the original unit, I could cook a curry from start to finish in 30 mins. This included 5 mins to sear, 5 mins to hit target pressure, and 20 mins to cook. In the Fast Slow Go, It took 15 mins to sear, another 30 mins to hit pressure, plus the 20 mins to cook. ... MoreI previously owned the original Breville Fast Slow Pressure Cooker. I ended up returning this item, and buying another Original Breville Fast Slow Pressure Cooker. Although This may be a good appliance for someone that's never had one before, for someone who knows how fast they should actually be it was very dissapointing.
I have been trialling the Breville Fast Slow GO. I was super excited when I received this appliance as I expected it would save me a lot of time and washing up. There are loads of different buttons and at first glance it looks a little overwhelming but in actual fact it’s very simple to use. The machine is very good quality and has a built in safety feature which means the lid can’t be opened during the cooking process unless it’s safe to do so. I had the chance to try out a few of the recipes from the Breville E-Book. They were very easy to follow and the food turned out perfect each time. The Beef Goulash is now a family favourite. I found the Breville Pressure Cooker and the recipe E book very easy to use. The lemon pudding was a hit at the street barbecue and turned out perfectly! I’ve even made it again since with great results! I found the goulash not as tasty in its results and required a lot of ingredients for little taste in the end so was way more effort and wouldn’t use the recipe again. The youghurt was simple, tasty and definitely a favourite. The recipe book very easy to follow in its directions and step by step instructions I what to press and when on the pressure cooker. My family as a rule eats dinner together and we are always in a time crunch so this really cuts down on the cooking time and stress at meal time plus everyone is really enjoying the food. The food cooked in this does taste better than food cooked in other cooking appliances. I think where this machine is exceptional is it masters cooking temperature and has a variety of ways to control the pressure so the food cooks perfectly. Another plus is it cuts down on all the pots and pans I normally use and is very easy to clean. I have some wonderful cooks in my extended family and those that have seen this and been over for a meal have really been complementary and interested in getting one for themselves. I couldn’t be more impressed and would highly recommend.
My new favourite appliance. The Breville Fast Slow GO is very easy to use. The free Recipe E-Book was the perfect starting point to test out the different functions. The sear function is a huge selling point for me, saving the washing up of a frypan and ensuring all the flavours of the browned meat are retained. I tried the included beef goulash recipe both ways. It is great to know that when time is at a premium and I am rushing around in the mornings, I can pressure cooker my meal and have a gorgeous beef goulash on the table in under an hour start to finish. On a weekend when more time is available, I can instead slow cook and let the aroma wafting through the kitchen. Searing the meat first means the best flavour is achieved and the meal was tender. The butter chickpeas recipe was nice for something different.
