I just bought another Brita tap filter to replace my first one. So far, no leaking at all, but like the first one I bought, the water pressure was slightly reduced but it’s not terrible. The first one would leak a little occasionally but usually stopped after I tightened it. However, the leaking gradually got worse about 6 months after purchased, along with the water pressure dropping considerably as time went on, so I had to replace of the whole filter. I’m giving it another chance because the leaking may of been my fault. Hot water was sometimes accidentally used and the instructions were specific about how hot water would damage the product. I absolutely love this. Just got it today and its already the best thing I've ever bought. I live in a small town less than 2k population and the tap water here is dangerous to drink. You are strongly encouraged not to drink it when moving to town by everyone living here including those at the hospital. Drinking the unboiled or filtered tap water has caused kidney damage in people in my town. This filter has finally allowed me to drink tap water for the first time in 4 years. You can very clearly taste the difference and I can't see myself ever going back to buying bottled water again. I'll be keeping a close eye on the filter to see how long it will really last before needing to be replaced.

i have brought two complete sets of the tap system and also brought a replacement filter.Both time after a month the filters would spray water from the sides, replace the filter and the same thinghappened. I then replaced the whole tap system thinking it may be faulty. But to my amazement it happened again . I live in the city not the country. And the price of your product is expensive but it doesn’t work properly.i do not recommend anyone waste their money buying something that just doesn’t work properly.

Water will begin leaking and spraying underneath the plastic collar that connects to the faucet. This isn't an issue with the seal with the faucet, the water comes from under the collar. At first I thought the problem was the rubber washer, but you can't buy just a replacement, you have to buy an entire new unit. So I did. The new unit failed after about 3 months of normal use. In an attempt to reduce the leak, I tried to tighten the collar a little bit more by hand, when I did this the plastic connector that holds the collar to the unit broke, and the entire thing snapped in two rendering it unusable. I bought this filter to eliminate the use of bottle water. Definitely was excited, followed instructions on installing. I also have a 10 cup ZERO water filter pitcher which provides a TDS meter. After letting the filter run for 5mins or more. I checked the TDS level which was 195. 😳 Checked sams and costco bottle water which was 050. I figured it did not get rid of the sediments yet, and let it run again. Checked after 30 mins, still at 195. Took off the filter from the sink. Tested the water 💧 and it was 200. Not a real difference. I was definitely annoyed and disappointed. Im not sure how to return this, a non satisfied customer.

This filter is pretty low quality. It gets the job done for a short period of time but definitely isn’t a solid dependable solution. The water leaks from multiple sources when using the filter or regular water. It’s been adjusted to tighten as much as possible..still same results shortly after. The design is much out of date.l for functionality. I drink 128oz of water daily %26 use this to fill my water bottle each day. It’s a complete pain in my behind. I’ll be looking for a better option. The cost was very low $16.88 when I purchased this Nov 2022 so I’m not out much at all.
These simply do not last. I have purchased 3 complete systems in the last 2 years. Within a couple of months the control lever becomes very stiff. A short time later, the base unit begins to leak from both output holes at the same time when the filter is being used. This is not a reliable product. Either I need to find an alternative, or Brita needs to start producing a better product.
