I love this sewing machine, it's quiet, it sews beautifully.....my one little criticism is the font embroidery is too small and you can't adjust it's size, but it's perfect for labelling projects. Quality insights are 2-3 sentences long.

Fantastic machine,love that you can sew foot free,allows concentration on the work when tackling new techniques. Many stitches to try still,love the monogram stitches,easy button holes.Every thing in this machine for me is perfect.
I bought my FS101 about a month ago, my old Janome is 36 years old and still working well, but i wanted a machine with more different stitches, it is so easy to use, wish i had bought it sooner, My only dislike, is the small sewing light
I am learning how to sewing it is very good it has open my to endless possibilities for a beginner and would like know what other accessories as well for a handicap person it not that hard to use
Absolutely love my Brother sewing machine, very easy to use.
Nice machine, love the extra features such as needle threading, quick needle return, error warnings, option to operate with foot or machine and alter the speed, I have found it simple to learn how to use. It also comes with a range of feet, my favourite being the surging foot, What I don't like is that the embroidering lettering is very basic, you cant change the size and it doesn't look very neat. It really struggles going over seams, often getting stuck or jammed with a thicker fabric. It also isn't as quiet as some other electronic machines, plus when using the auto bobbin uptake it starts with a loud clunk and often causes a bit of tangling of the lower thread.
I bought this machine a couple of weeks ago. I really didn't think I needed all those stitches, my previous 35 year old machine didn't have them - but I've had so much fun trying them all out. The machine is super quiet and simple to understand, although the upper threading has one section which is quite tricky. Has a built in 1/4 inch stitch for my patchwork. Sadly, it doesn't come with a walking foot, so will have to buy that separately.
It looks scary but it's very easy to use. It just glides quietly as I sew, which is nothing like the 30 year old sewing machine I was using before.
