Burt's Bees Ultra Conditioning Lip Balm With Kokum Butter

My lips stay chapped all year long. Going to the beach or out in the cold. I’ve tried a little of everything. I accidentally picked up Burt’s Bee lip balm, had no clue it said ultra conditioning. When I got in the car I got it out of my bag and thought already paid for it might as well use it. It went on smoothly, not greasy or waxy like some lip balms. It didn’t have a strange texture, smell or taste which was very pleasant. Looking at ingredients shea butter and oils was giving me the smoothest texture. About after a week of using daily and at night before I go to bed I noticed my lips smoother and not as cracked feeling. The Burt's Bees Ultra Conditioning Lip Balm is so good, I loved it. It's so Conditioning and my lips feel so soft after using it. My dad and me, both use this lip balm every day, this is our go to balm. I use it after every meal as that's when my lips feel dry and need moisturizing. And the best part is some of the ingredients that may cause irritation for some people as they include lanolin and essential oils but I haven't noticed any irritation on my lips and they don't even get dark like other balms do after using them. The lips balm also glides on easily and is smooth and thick without leaving a sticky residue which is important for me as I don't like the sticky feeling that most of the other lip balms give.

Best I have ever tried

This stuff is the best and the only one I use! Works way better than the other ones for chapped lips. I get super dry cracked lips sometimes from my hypothyroidism and this stuff works. I even use it under my eyes to moisturize. I had someone ask me what eye cream I use and they couldn’t believe I was using Burt’s bee ultra conditioning lip balm. She went and bought it for her eyes. Works much better than high end brands. Thanks Burt’s bee. Please don’t ever change your formula or stop making this lip balm ❤️❤️❤️❤️

Buyer Beware

I have used Burt's Bees for at least sixteen years.I saw the Burt's Bees Ultra Conditioning Moisturizing Lip Balm. I thought I would try this thinking it would be even better than the Vanilla Bean I had been using.I looked at the front of the package and saw "Rich in butters and oils that hydrate and condition dry lips". I was convinced after reading this to try it.I opened the lip balm and put some on. The smell of Citronellol was overwhelming. It made my lips feel awful! I wiped it off but had to actually wash my lips with soap and water to get rid of the smell!!Citronellol is in Citronella oil which is commonly used in candles and sprays to repel insects. Choose any other flavor

I have two Burt's Bees chapsticks - the original beeswax lip balm, and this one. I live in CO and it's fall/winter so my lips are always super chapped so it took me a while to realize that it was the chapstick causing the problem. This one is terrible & seems to be making them worse. Anytime I use any other chapstick, including the other Burt's Bees flavors it helps. I like their lipstick and lipgloss too. Just stay away from this one!

My ONLY lip balm - why so scarce at retail?

I haven't used any other lipstick or lip balm for decades, because it works, AND it is flavor- free and fragrance-free. Who wants to deal with phony flavors? And, just as important, it's creamier and less waxy than your other lip balms.But why is it so scarce, so hard to find in retail stores? That seems a testament to its popularity -- maybe you should up the quantities in your base assortment, AND, please bring back the 4-pack! I used to find them at Target, but no more.

Oily but in a smooth way, applies sooo easily without disturbing the cream that could be under, its perfect. It locks moisture like a pro and feels so smooth, like melted butter, and it has a hint of citrus in the smell, which i love. Will be purchasing again.I tried several ones but none can beat this balm.REMINDER : you CANNOT moisturize your lips with a BALM. you need to moisturize them with HA, aloe vera, or another humectant (creams can be used too, not only gels or serums) that draws water to your lips, and THEN nourish with a balm to trap moisture and boom, plump lips. If your lips are chapped and damaged, repairing ingredients such as honey will help speed the recovery and keep them for worsening. Too oily. Got lip line pimple.

I always use the original Burt’s bees chapstick. I bought the huge pack from Costco. I misplaced my original Burt’s bees chapstick and started using this version. I thought it did a good job moisturizing until I started to get a bump on the vermillion border of my lip. It had a white head. It’s not herpes, didn’t itch or sting. No clusters, not directly on the lips. I generously apply chapstick outside my lip line though. Why? Just a habit. I stopped using this and switched back to the original and have no issues. So I guess if you’re prone to clogged pores via oils don’t use this. The original works great.

WORSE product I've ever used!

My first Burt's Bees purchase. I had very dry lips and needed help. I liberally applied the product each time I thought of it, to no avail. I came to the website to find information, and read bad reviews. My lips became swollen, raw, bright red, blistered, peeled, and EXTREMELY PAINFUL. I had to stop using it, realizing after two weeks of constant use that it was actually CAUSING the problems.
