Buy this Printer!I bought this printer to replace my HP Deskjet which stopped printing or scanning for no reason. I'm not a huge user in the way of printing, and it also chewed through cartridges.Anyhow I went to PB's website to see what they had available that wasn't HP and saw the beauty from Canon. The Canon printer is plug and play, easy to operate and I still haven't used the cartridges supplied.Pick-up in-store was easy and convenient. Canon has been around forever, have great tech, a bit more expensive but it will save you money and time in the long term. Thanks again PB!

I bought this based on comments that it was easy to set up; however it took me several hours to get it working. I work in software dev so am by no means technically challenged. It turns out it has very primitive networking capabilities and can only use 2.4ghz and can only use WPA passwords. So had to modify my entire network setup just to get this connected. If you're looking for a network printer, I'd suggest something other than this.

Cannot get it to connect to Wi Fi

I purchased the TS3400 from OfficeWorks 2 days ago to replace a previous wi-fi Cannon. The TS3400 is not listed anywhere on the Cannon app that you are directed to download. No matter what I did, rebooting modem, rebooting my iPad, rebooting the printer and any number of combinations in between, this printer will not connect to our home wi-fi setup.A load of junk. Don’t waste your money. Taking it back for a refund.

Deeply regret
10 January 2023

I am a tech guy works for tech support and I HIGHLY ADVICE NOT TO BUY THIS PRINTER.This is a time waster and trash (literally) setup and operation is highly demanding and faults everywhere. I don't know why Canon selling this they better just do cameras not printers. Took you ages to print and even failed. Setup glitches everywhere. I tried to fix it but instruction is very complicated and lengthy and someone idiotic.

Don't buy it.

The printing function works fine. The scanning side of things is a complete nightmare. It wont allow you to change the destination, and I've been sitting here for an hour trying to scan certified documents and it keeps chopping them into 3 seperate documents. My old Canon was so easy. This thing is horrible.

Easy to Configure
15 May 2022

Purchased the printer today from Five dock office works and it has been fantastic so far. Easy to configure and the printing is smooth and quick. Print quality is no so great for color prints. Will update after 6 months of usage.

Excellent features with a great price
4 November 2021

Very Competitive price with the features it has got. Very easy to setup and can print wirelessly. Printer doesn't need to get connected to a laptop/desktop to get the print is one of the silent features(No hanging wires). Can also fire print through phones, don't need PC for it. Very handy & portable, happy to recommended this product to friends.

Good, cheap printer with limited wifi support.
2 July 2022

Installation and setup of the printer on to a wifi network was convoluted and time consuming. If wanting to setup direct wifi connect between a device and the printer using Canon applications it was all good but adding to a general wifi network was painful. The wifi setup software did not install and was not readily available as part of the installation. Documentation on anything other than Canon application direct connect or USB connection support was quite difficult to find on the Canon website. In addition, generic error messages during configuration did not help or provide guidance as to the issue. This product should really be listed with the limited wifi capabilities that it supports to ensure that customers are aware. 5GHz network capability is not support ... MoreInstallation and setup of the printer on to a wifi network was convoluted and time consuming. (IEEE802.11ac, IEEE802.11a, or IEEE802.11n (5 GHz) are all not supported). 2.4GHz only. I am aware that this is a cost effective model but basic wifi standards support from almost 10 years ago should be supported in my opinion. Our higher speed wifi devices need to be changed to a slower wifi network to be able to print across wifi to this device. If you are looking for a cheap printer to connect to your computer or direct to a device then this would be good for you. If you have an established high speed wifi network supporting multiple devices then look at other products.

Terrible!
19 July 2022

One of the worst printers of my life. It has Zero user-friendliness compared to some others I have had. Clancy with the Wi-Fi connection, so you often can't print. There is no cord option! There is also no option for printing double sided, and if you do it manually on a large document (by printing odd and even pages), it often doesn't line up the sides correctly so you end up having to through away 50 pages of printouts. This must be a good strategy for selling more ink. Cartilages are expensive and you can not use only color or only back on their own. You must buy both inks all the time, even if you don't use the colorful option. Additionally, the online user manual (there is only an online version..) is difficult to navigate and is missing loads of information. I ... MoreOne of the worst printers of my life. WORST. PRINTER. EVER.
16 March 2023

I am writing this in the hopes that I stop other people wasting hours and hours of their life trying to set up this printer. The Canon TS3460 is an abomination of a machine. I spent over 5 hours on the phone with tech support trying to change every setting under the sun. Canon even made me call my ISP AND my router manufacturer to change internet settings. In the end a technician at canon just gave up and told me to return the machine. Nothing was working and I think he knew that the product was shonky. I cant stress enough how complicated it was to try set this thing up (and i’m tech savvy). I returned it and got a HP ENVY 6400e. All you need to know is that I set it up in 10 minutes with no issues whatsoever (it was even kind of fun).
