Everything that I was expected to be. Sound quality is excellent. Earlier this month I ordered the new Shoei Xspr-pro. Had to invest a bit of time to find the best routing for the wires so nothing will ruin the comfort of that excellent helmet, but in the end the result was riding with one of the best helmets that I ever owned and also, having the best intercom experience that I could have. Sure, these are not cheap products but the experience and the safety sensation is something that money can’t buy. This is my 21st year of riding. So for the past 21 years I’ve experienced the good and the bad of riding with different quality gear. It’s amazing how far technology evolved. You can’t go wrong with these top of the line products.... Show more

When attempting to get the benefits of both to work, I lose the intercom or give up the BRP integration with the helmet. Being an extremely experienced Electrical/Computer Engineer, it is clear that Cardo and BRP have not put their heads together to work out a solution to this issue that is likely a combination of Bluetooth and Software conflicts. I am not getting the full value I paid for so the product is overpriced. The sound quality of the much touted JBL sound speakers is also lacking as they sound very mid-to-upper range pitched without any ability to equalize the sound across the Bass to Treble ranges. Annoyingly, during my attempts to get the rest of the capability working, I did have good sound when the music was playing. So this appears to be another incomplete design effort or a compromise of the much touted mesh connection approach.Don’t get me wrong, I do like the reach and connectivity as I had much better comm’s with my wife than we had with our 20 year old Collette solution. I just wish Cardo would have finished the design and got it all working correctly to integrate with other very common solutions such as BRP Go!... Show more

Best helmet communicators I’ve used. They have plenty of volume, which was important to me.Sound quality is great and the mounting of the unit is super intuitive.Only small drawback that I discovered was that the users manual is pretty limited and the smart phone app to be used in conjunction is also not very easy to use. For example - the app won’t even open unless it’s paired with a unit. So you can’t browse the features without being connected. Doesn’t really explain the difference or advantages of private chat through intercom or by Bluetooth - which the unit can do both. But I’ve worked out those issues. Just took some time. But the units function, attaching to the helmet and sound quality are by far the best I’ve ever heard or used. Love it overall!!!!... Show more

Basic Features Are Very Good & Some Marketed Features Are Not Ready For Primetime
The Cardo Edge has some flaws that negate some marketed features. I have raised the issues to the support team, but support is the terrible and they won't even acknowledge that issues exists. In short the Cardo Connect app can not be used if you use two Bluetooth channels for pairing (e.g. phone + TFT) because the app uses one of the channels. Additionally the pairing of the second channel invalidates the first channel pairing. You can work around the issue by pairing the second channel first as a phone and then pair the first channel (but you can't use the app).In terms of use, the buttons are very small and hard to find even with thin summer gloves. Another let down is Music playback. I thought it would be significantly better with the JBL speakers as compared ... MoreThe Cardo Edge has some flaws that negate some marketed features. Another let down is Music playback. I thought it would be significantly better with the JBL speakers as compared to my old Sena 20. But its a minor improvement and not even close to a decent set of wireless headphones. However, there are positives. The device has good looks and the magnetic mount is great. The mesh intercom works very well and is very clear. Phone calls are also very good and mic + software is good at keeping noise out. Also I have been able to get Apple Siri and the "Hey Cardo" to work and use voice commands for almost all actions (this helps with the small buttons). If you have a simple setup and will only use one Bluetooth channel, the Edge will work great. If you have a more complex setup, e.g. TFT/GPS + Phone, and want to also use the app you may want to consider other options.... Show more

Best intercom yet!
Bought a pair of intercoms so my husband and I can talk to each other while we ride or listen to music/radio. The auto connect feature works like a charm every time - turn on the units and the quickly connect. Audio is crystal clear and microphones do not pick up any ambient sound. Power consumption is good - need to recharge after maybe 8 hour of use - which is great. Easy to use - buttons are well separated so even with gloves I can find them and the scroller for volume control - genius! All the things we didn’t like in the previous intercoms were fixed in this versionHad other Cardo units in the past (Q9x, Sho) and got used to reconnect to my partner every ride, poor reception, hard to change channels while riding, and short battery life. Cardo Edge - First Timer
I upgraded from a Sena system to the Cardo Edge. Installation is easy, however, the Cardo AP requires an instant software update to set the unit up. I like the magnetic attachment of the main unit to the cradle, however, not confident at this stage of the longevity of the adhesive strip provided to adhere the cradle to the helmet (LS2 Mod Helmet). So far so good, but I am carrying a set of clear double-sided adhesive strips in my tank bag in case the adhesive strip provided fails. JBL sound quality is great!! Voice commands work well, but you have to learn them. If you have an iPhone you can always say Hey Siri and connect. The volume control dial on the unit is easy to control with standard riding gloves, but not sure with thick winter gloves? Overall....I am ... MoreI upgraded from a Sena system to the Cardo Edge. Cardo PackTalk Early Review
Early review...I've only ridden once thus far with the Cardo Pack Talk. Here's what I've noticed thus far .1) Person on the other end of a phone call says it was clear while talking. That's good, was worried about clarity.2) Sound - I wear foam ear plugs (I'll try the upgraded rubber, reusable plugs next time) and sound came through clear. Not super loud obviously but good enough considering the plugs.3) Problem - I've noticed when I turned the Cardo off, it turned back on on 3 occasions with a static noise. I'll have to investigate to make sure it's not me causing this. But I'm concerned and wonder if this is a problem amongst other users.4) Design - it doesn't get much simpler than this....3 buttons, easy removal, easy charge.I'll update with more use.... Show more

No regrets
I bought this for my husband and me. He rides a Triumph T120 and I ride a Triumph Street Scrambler. Short version: we have no complaints and we love these. Long version: Noise canceling is great, we can't hear each other's bike through the speakers at all. Sound quality for both music and voice is really clear and equalized. The set up and getting to know how it works is a little finicky, but that's to be expected with any system that's new to you. After we've used it a few times, we both are very used to how it works. Voice commands work well. I have a soft, quiet voice, his voice is deep and carries. Even at 80 mph it still hears our voice commands. It's slimmer than either of us expected it to be and the magnetic connection is great. We also like the fact that to ... MoreI bought this for my husband and me. We also like the fact that to remove the unit, the tab has to be pressed and the unit slid forward off the carrier. That's REALLY secure. Charging is easy too. Just slide it off and plug it in. The rubber bit is pretty secure too, we haven't tested them in the rain, but we get the impression it will do well.... Show more

Very happy
First thing, this is my first real experience with a coms unit. I have used Sena's with a friend on his sled, but that was only for coms, no music or guidance. Overall I'm pretty happy with the Edge. After some challenges fitting it into my helmet due to the speaker connection using a huge 3.5mm jack, and the speaker wires being barely long enough. I finally fit it into the battery compartment that HJC's have for their proprietary coms system, yes it fits, barely. Also the clip just didn't work on my HJC, I had way to much wind noise, I don't have a windshield, my friend had no such issue. But once I used the adhesive things improved dramatically. You will need to set up the mic sensitivity or you will have audio cut outs as one reviewer mentioned. I don't subscribe ... MoreFirst thing, this is my first real experience with a coms unit. I don't subscribe to the bigger is better when it comes to speakers, but then again I have zero experience with the 45mm speakers, the 40mm sound fine. It is competing with a lot of other noise, so you really shouldn't expect an audiophile experience. Use in ears if that's what your after, it will get you closer and this system will actually accommodate that because of the aforementioned 3.5mm jack.In summary this is a great unit with excellent features, it connects quickly and consistently, not once since we connected them have we had problems reconnecting. The voice commands work as they should and the USB C is what you should expect in todays world. Battery life is very good.... Show more

Worked well, love the mount system.
The mount process is pretty slick and easy to do. I LOVE the way it connects/disconnects quickly and easily to the mount on the helmet, making it easy to remove for charging or to keep out of sight. Controls are ok, remembering the combination of buttons for the different functions takes a while to remember, seems a bit confusing at first. Microphone needs to be mounted as close as possible to the mouth and has to be oriented correctly as it has a flat side that needs to face the rider. Battery life seemed good, we used them for about 9 hr days and they were still at 50% battery most of the time. They synced up easily, once in a while we had to cycle power to get ride of some radio background noise but otherwise, they did everything the competitor does for a lot ...
