I rush bought this by mistake, thinking it was normal wood pellet litter, so was disappointed when I saw what appeared to be a bag of paper fluff. However I think this stuff is fantastic. What I particularly like about it is how light weight it is, even when wet, others I've used becomes leaden when saturated, or don't absorb anything, I don't know how this stuff manages to stay so light weight after absorbing the same amount of wee as the clay. This is a massive bonus as I have 5 indoor cats, and have become somewhat disabled since their arrivals. Which makes bin day quite a trial, for me and the bin men! It's a workout taking the litter bags to the pick up point, and they must hate my house. This is so much lighter and easier to lift than anything else I've tried. ... It's a workout taking the litter bags to the pick up point, and they must hate my house. This is so much lighter and easier to lift than anything else I've tried. I have read that it can be flushed, which I would be delighted to do, but our sewer system/plumbing is pathetic and backs up if you cough near it, so haven't risked trying. The particles though small didn't seem to create any problems for my 5 indoor cats, though it can stick to the furry feet of one of my ladies. It does track a little, but I haven't used a litter yet that didn't. They did take a short while to get used to it, and still prefer to use the fullers earth type litter, or wood pellet given the choice, If we had kittens in the house I would use this without worry, as it's nice and soft on their little paddy paws. I didn't notice any dust, which is great, as my utility room usually looks as if there's been some kind of explosion in a chalk pit. It clumps really easily and well, and is a doddle to remove. I don't notice more smell than usual when they pooped, or less smell, poop is poop, it's stinky. The one issue I have, and unfortunately it's the decider is that it's pricey compared to my normal brand, and with 5 indoor cats it's really not a feasible regular buy for me. A 10 litre bag only properly fills 3 trays, not enough for all of mine, therefore I don't even have enough for top ups from one 'standard' bag.... Show more

One of my cats has asthma so I can't use any dusty litters. I've also bought various eco friendly litters but none I've tried are good at masking odours, the paper stuff all has to be removed daily and the corn litter clumps into lumps so solid you need a chisel to remove the clumps so the whole lot ends up being thrown out daily. This is the best I've tried. The clumps are easy to remove and you simply pop it in a biodegradable dog poo bag (or biodegradable food bag that you use in the kitchen caddy) and stick it in the landfill bin knowing that it is biodegradable and won't remain in landfill for years or,well.... forever! I have 2 cats and used to have to clean 3 litter trays every day but, now I only have to completely change them once a week and, believe me when I say I have a sense of smell that is probably on par with a bloodhound and, although I wish I didn't at times, I would know if there was ANY bad smell occurring. I can assure you when the clumps are removed and any faeces that may have slipped onto the tray wiped off with 'RSPCA wee away' cleaner on a piece of kitchen roll there is NO BAD SMELL LINGERING. When I remove the clumps I simply add a wee drop more litter and the job's done for the day. When I completely change the litter I fill up the co-op biodegradable bags with it, pop in the landfill bin and feel safe in the knowledge that I'm not destroying the planet by owning cats! I bought a small bag to begin with to see how it would go and, because the larger packs are more expensive than most other litters, considering the amount of use you get out of it, I would say the larger packs are better value for money than cheaper litters which you have to change every day so, as well as destroying the planet with cheaper clay based litter, it is also false economy at the end of the day. I just went ahead and bought a 20litre bag and will continue to use this litter until I am, eventually, dead and eaten by my cats. (And my dog since he's a faithless wretch). I won't mind this, however, so long as whomever I leave my pets to use cats best litter, disposed off in biodegradable cornstarch bags thus preventing my own remains from turning the world into one big old litter tray. Definitely recommend. Now all we need is stainless steel litter trays or, s'thing other than plastic to become the norm. I've just read some other reviews and don't kmow why other people don't like it. It does track onto the floor a wee bit but I vacuum daily so I really don't think a tiny amount if litter on a hard floor is a big deal considering this is ECO FRIENDLY and doesn't need to be completely changed every day. I suppose some people just don't take into account the environment. ****sighs*** Don't believe the bad reviews- honestly- it's great stuff and dusty clay litter GAVE my eldest cat asthma btw so it's also safer for your cats health as well as the environment. Buy a mat for around the litter tray, any litter tracked out onto the mat can easily be swept up with a wee brush and shovel while you're removing clumps.... Show more

Cat's Best organic litter
My 15-year old short-haired kitty loves this litter. It absorbs urine and the smell of it really effectively. I like the spherical clumps, which are very easy to locate and remove. Yes, faeces stink, but this is because the cat is arthritic and doesn't cover it up as she used to. Once removed, the odour dissipates. This litter is expensive but I find it lasts a very long time, (around 6 months for 1 cat).I agree with the tracking issue, but our litter tray is in the back of the house. I use special mats under the tray and any litter has shaken free of the cats paws before she goes through the house. Anything in the back is easily dealt with by dustpan and brush or hoover. In summary, the cat's happy, so I am happy and I will keep using this product to keep the ... Clumps well but tracks easily
The 13kg bag seems to be the better value if purchasing this type of litter. We have used this litter for about a couple of years for our 3 cats. It clumps well, has low odour, however it does track quite easily, and with having 3 cats this is 3 times the problem. However, it is a lot better than most of the other brands out there and doesn't smell too much when the cats have used their litter tray. Not dusty like some clay litters and soft enough for their little paws. This type of cat litter (clumped bits) can even be flushed down the toilet (gradually, not all at once), although we haven't tried this, we just clean out the clumps into a bin liner and dispose in main garbage bin. Would recommend if you don't mind cleaning up tracked litter round the house.... Show more

Great experience, except the tracking
We're really loving this litter compared to the old non-clumping wood litter we used that needed a full tray replacement every day or two. This stuff lasts a week or two without a full replacement because it's so easy to scoop the poos and clumped wees out to leave the 95% perfectly fresh litter that can be used again, whereas with the non clumping stuff we found the majority of it would be soggy sawdust after just a day and need fully replacing. As others have said, the tracking seems to be more than the basic wood non-clumping stuff. I've found it on the landing upstairs when the litter tray is at the back of the house downstairs. But since we put the lids on the litter trays and anti-tracking mats on the exit, we've had far fewer issues. And it is more than ... Have been using for 7years - Best Cat Litter
I have two 7-year-old Maine Coon cats. When I got them, I lived in a two-bedroom apartment and was particular and paranoid about keeping my house from smelling like cats and their pee. I tried different litters, but I could always smell the cat's presence until I was recommended this litter. Once I switched, there was no turning back. It controls the smell of having two indoor cats; you would have no idea we have cats. It's enviro and even toilet-friendly, so I can flush their poop which is a big bonus. Plus, it lasts way longer than regular litters, so I buy less. I've recommended this litter to many people, I can't stress how great it is! The only downfall is litter does make its way out of their trays, but I vacuum it everyday. It's no big deal and a small price ... MoreI have two 7-year-old Maine Coon cats. Litter all over the house
Pros-Mostly absorbs urine smells and is recyclable.Cons-Litter gets stuck to paws and goes EVERYWHERE- the floor, the carpet, chairs, bath mat, clean washing, my bed!!!! Basically anywhere our 2 cats go, there is a trail of dirty litter. We vacuum or brush more than 10 to 15 times per day, when working from home. We've tried different styles/depths/designs of litter trays and re-positioned the litter trays, but the litter just gets everywhere. I have to cover my dining chairs with old towels, so I don't sit in litter and I have a dustpan and brush in the bedroom to brush down my bed daily. I only stuck with this litter so long because I bought 4 big bags of it.The attached photos are from the trays being used twice in the morning.... Show more

Not as amazing as the others are saying.
Nowhere in any of the information does it detail what is actually IN this 'natural' product. They don't specify on the packaging either. This to me, is a bit cagey and something I'm not happy with.I've found Smartcat Natural Cat, made from grass, clumps in a much firmer way, there's no dust, less outside the box tracking, and it has a really pleasant earthy smell. Give it a try, rather, unless you know what Cat's Best contains and are happy with it, in which case, please share the ingredients.Thank you... Show more

Pros and cons
It lasts for ages with its excellent clumping. It really reduces the smell. I foster abandoned pregnant cats but it’s no use for the kittens as their tiny paws track it all over the floor so I’ve stopped using it with my foster cats and kittens. I use it with my own cat who can use a litter box that she goes inside. It has a cover so she climbs out when she’s done. That helps to keep the mess in one place so she doesn’t really track it all over. Definitely pros and cons to this litter.... Show more

The best so far
First time, I didn't buy because I thought it was pricey. But after trying about first 5 days, I believe that in the long term, I am saving more money than I thought especially when I compare with other clumping pellets as well as regular ones. Easy to clean and doesn't smell bad (even though one of my cat never covers his things). Clumping performance is 8.5/10. It is not sticky at all. I bought the small pack to give it try and I am 100% glad so far. I don't want to be in the market again to find the best cat litter which is not exist. This one is close to what I have been looking for since we came to Sweden.... Show more
