I have always wanted to own a Chasseur but could never afford it as they are let's face it expensive. Now at age 71 I finally got one and could not be happier. I use it for everything. Cooking, baking bread and stews. Oh the beautiful tender stews, they melt in your mouth. Highly recommend it. Just a suggestion: if they were cheaper more people would buy them.

After an unsatisfactory response from customer service at a Le Creuset store when the enamel on my 23 yr old Le Creuset casserole started popping like popcorn, I discovered positive reviews of Chasseur and Everten on a forum. While my new casserole is 400ml smaller than my old timer, it's much prettier, was more cost effective and doing a great job. Will definitely use Everten to upgrade the remaining Le Creuset to Chasseur
Easy to use, easy to clean, and beautiful colour! Made the best soffrito ever in this, as well as stewed apples, and slow-cooked soups! Make sure to follow all cooking and cleaning instructions as it does not work like other cookware.
Excellent cast iron product. I use it frequently in place of lighter dishes. No staining on enamel finish, retains heat. Only drawback is the weight.
I bought this as a house warming gift for someone special as I have the same dish in a different colour. I find it invaluable for cooking slow cooked pork and lamb dishes there always seems to be an even heat and everything cooks perfectly. I have had mine for 5 years and it is still going strong. This really is an excellent product

I had originally wanted to purchase a Le Creuset pot, but pleased that I went with this option instead especially given the difference in price. A really high quality pot and cooking is super easy and enjoyable.
