I got this for my German Shepherd puppy who absolutely LOVES fetch! During our 100+ degree days, it's been too hot to go out and play fetch with her. This thing glows brightly for at least 30 minutes, and only takes a couple minutes under a flashlight to refresh it. It also makes a light whistling sound in the air that she can't resist! Yes, it floats in water too. It also bounces really well. Best nighttime toy ever!Pictures of my white German Shepherd returning with her favorite ball in the pitch black dark. Great toy!Note: it's a softer material. She could easily shred it, but she's only allowed to have it during a game of fetch. I bought her two over the summer; it's October and they are still going strong.

Dogs love this bouncy, chewy rubber material. The action of chewing this soft rubber ball is very entertaining for pups and the ball holds up well. This is a softer rubber ball. Chuckit balls are always excellent and durable quality. This also glows very brightly.

Our lab loves balls but he is absolutely obsessed with these. Easily his favorite in our toy collection and he will 'demand' these at times. They do glow as described (we prime ours on flashlights for a few minutes). Our other puppy, a pit/shephard mix, likes all toys but will still reach for these over other balls if given a choice.Four stars only because they aren't indestructible - we do have to pick these up when we're done playing because if left down, our dogs have chewed through them. Since they're our labs favorite, that can make him a little upset lol. They would be perfect if they could be left down at all times but all around, a great toy that is much enjoyed in our household.

I work nights, so when I come home I need to get my dog some quick exercise by playing fetch. Obviously, regular balls were hard to spot for her. I originally bought a ball that blinks when you bounce it, but the battery didn't last very long in it and then of course it's just a ball. So when I was shopping chewy, I saw this Global offered and thought it might be just what I needed. I was right! If you leave it under a good light source, it glows very brightly. You can even see it glowing when the house is not too brightly lit. My dog has a blast and is definitely bouncy enough to provide her with a great challenge. This ball is Hollow and has a hole on either side so when you throw it it also makes kind of a hollow whistle sound. It's really cool. We love it!
I’ve tried these before, put them in the sun for a couple of days, looked for any sort of glow, and been disappointed by the very dim glow. But after hundreds of dollars spent on “flashy” balls (the hard plastic ones that come in red or yellow) that usually die within a week, I decided to try again, even though I also had to buy a new Chuckit to fit the Glow Ball. (I have to say Chewy has been AWESOME about replacing the dead flashy balls!!). It was a great decision. Finally figured that if you shine a bright compact LED flashlight directly on it for 10 sec (yes, SECONDS), it will glow very brightly for 5-10 minutes, and continue to glow dimly for another 10-20 minutes. The dim light is not bright, but if you’re in a dark park without any direct light, it’s visible ... MoreI’ve tried these before, put them in the sun for a couple of days, looked for any sort of glow, and been disappointed by the very dim glow. The dim light is not bright, but if you’re in a dark park without any direct light, it’s visible enough to find and recharge with another blast from the flashlight. My dog loves it and will even refuse to pick up a different thrown ball if he has to drop his Glow Ball. There’s no mechanism to break, no batteries to replace, and phosphorescence doesn’t “wear out,” so it should last a good long time. The icing on the cake is it costs about 1/4 as much as a flashy ball, so even if it eventually dies, I’ll still be very satisfied. I’m buying another 2-pack as backup just in case one is lost. Will try to post pictures from our next nighttime trip to the park.
My sweet Labrador, Sherlock is almost 8 . He has been ball obsessed since a pup , even now as I have to be super careful ( he weighs 113 lbs and a fall could tear a ligament , etc! ) he’s unsteady bc he has seizures now & his medication makes him wobbly . Still he LOVES THIS BALL! he has been a chuck it fan all his life. Heck I have my HOUSE bc he’s so huge and my bf felt sorry he didn’t have his own yard ( I lived in a condo w a shared yard for his first 2 years. ) so my bf of 19 years bought my flipping house (!!) bc he loves Sherlock & Sherlock lives to play ball!I am a bit weepy bc it’s most likely my last year w this beautiful boy! He’s gone thru cancer ( removed a year ago )etc . But the seizures are new and hard on a huge dog !We still have to play ball ... MoreMy sweet Labrador, Sherlock is almost 8 . But I’d ALL his chuck it balls ( even the light up ones ) he adores this med size soft glow ball! It is soft enough for his sweet mouth to hold gently & it must feel good bc he walks around for hours w this ball in his mouth usually until my golden retriever takes the ball out of his mouth ( kinda a funny game of pass the ball !) I have to immediately replace it .Thank you Chuck it for almost 8 years of total delight for my beautiful Sherlock . I’ve bought him more $$ balls but he prefers these & has a hanging basket by the back door full of them! Today I’m buying him 6 new balls - ( I have a Westie that also prefers these in the same med size zFor those new to these balls and deciding on size , Sherlock should be a large ball lover since he’s enormous but he must order the med bc of the way it feels in his jaws. He has a few large balls but always prefers the med w the holes in them ( glow ball best of all)
I needed to replace our dieing flashing balls so I bought a large one of these balls in a store. My elderly golden loves it so much that I bought two more from Chewy. My only dislike is it's a little loose in the Chuckit! launcher. I only use this ball now, no matter what time of day or night.Walter seems to be able to see the color of this ball much better, he often catches it on a bounce, even in bright sunlight, something he rarely does with the orange and blue balls. He's not a chewer, but he chews on the glow ball, and also plays keep away with it. It stays brightest for about 10 minutes, I take a flashlight with me in case I want it a little brighter. I put it in any lit room to make it glow. Oh, and he even ignores going for walks because he wants to play fetch with this ball instead!
I just bought a Pro18M to replace a much-loved and -chewed old 12" thrower of another make. My dogs adored the luminous ball and carried it around in triumph! The thrower's look is very stylish and the grip is comfortable and well-balanced.However, when it came to actually throwing the ball, it was a big disappointment. The thrower clutches the ball far too firmly - the upper lip is roughly 1/2" too long and curls round the ball so that with even a vigorous throw the ball only goes a short distance; also the too-long upper lip directs the ball downwards, so that in order to throw it any distance forward you need to aim almost vertically. Accuracy is nil, whereas with my old thrower I can place a ball within a foot of a target at 25 yards.I've performed some ... MoreI just bought a Pro18M to replace a much-loved and -chewed old 12" thrower of another make. I noticed that the plastic material used has a lot of inert filler and it is easy to crack, so I don't expect the usable life of the thrower to be a very long one. All in all, rather disappointing. I'm really quite surprised that a premium launcher like this one clearly hasn't been tested in use before entering production.
I had several reasons for buying these balls. The first is that part of my yard is barren, so any saliva-coated ball dropped onto that surface comes into the house encrusted in mud. Tennis balls take forever to clean and dry, so I wanted something that would rinse clean and be ready for the next round of play. I bought some other great alternative balls that were a great size and easy to wash, but they came in random colors. The ones I received were dark enough to get lost in ivy or tall grass, which they did. I wanted a bright-colored ball. The other reason I'm glad I chose this product is a benefit of happenstance. Cowboy has the attention span of a caffeinated toddler and often takes his eyes off the ball to chase sky raisins or ply Pokemon Go. He drops balls in ... MoreI had several reasons for buying these balls. Cowboy has the attention span of a caffeinated toddler and often takes his eyes off the ball to chase sky raisins or ply Pokemon Go. He drops balls in the jungle and I find them months later, after I've replaced them several times. I mentioned before I was looking for a light colored ball. A glowing ball that's not toxic is even better! Now when Cowboy brings a squirrel to the house after I'd thrown him a ball to fetch, I can just wait until the sun goes down to retrieve the glowing orb from the yard...and bury the squirrel.
Sarge is a high energy GSD not quite 2 yrs old, who will play ball all day long. we have gone through countless squeaky tennis balls, because they just don't stand up to that repeated victory squeak when he catches it. Got this really just for the glow feature, so we could play after dark, but these have become his absolute favorite any time of day. They don't squeak, but he can chomp and chew and has yet to destroy one. His 'job' is to keep track of his ball while we walk, when we aren't throwing it. I had to constantly remind him with the others, or he would drop and leave it in pursuit of something more interesting. But these, he doesn't leave behind. Great purchase, Sarge says. Highly recommend.
