Clinique Moisture Surge 100H Auto-Replenishing Hydrator 50 ml

She gave me my first skincare regimen by Clinique and it included this moisturizer that was all pinkish/peach colored gel that was super lightweight and not oily or (honestly at that age 14? 15? I had never felt a anything like it before. I expected it to be too lightweight to actually moisturize my face and after using Clarifying Lotion 2–3, my skin felt tight, super dry and my face needed some LOVE. What happened was my skin met Moisture Surge and it fell in love. Not only does this super light quasi-gel moisturizer feel amazeballs to your skin, (it’s super great to use before starting your makeup routine) it some serious hydrating power that keeps you’re skin feeling happy, hydrated and it’s not going to cause a break out or clog up your pores either! Your skin feels good like I went to the spa good when using this product after an exfoliating, clarifying lotion. It will sink right into your skin and it doesn’t linger on the surface so you can start your going about makeup sooner than a lot of other moisturizers. spent 32-33/34 Christmas seasons together and man my grandma had her skincare routine and her serious make up routine done every day of the week, rain or shine, even if she wasn’t leaving the house, even if she was going to get in the pool…she was serious about her anti-aging products, sunscreen was her ride or die along with make up remover/cleanser because you NEVER sleep with your makeup still on and you must protect your skin from UV rays (She would show me a wrinkle and say it was because she didn’t use sunscreen when she was younger). She was beautiful and I miss her dearly but I know that she was in an uninhabitable body, in an uninhabitable environment and in an uninhabitable state of time period. While at the nursing home she contracted Covid and almost died, my mother and I thought she was but she’s a, she was a tough ol’ broad apparently. Follow in Grandma’s footsteps and have the best skin, K-Beauty “Glass Skin” for another 34 ugh , 35 years.

I received this Moisture Surge 100H Auto Replenishing Hydrator sample from Clinique Canada to test. This came at a great time, as the cold and dry winter air here has been sucking the moisture from my skin lately, and this lotion is amazingly hydrating. I also appreciate that it is virtually unscented, so it doesn’t irritate my sensitive skin. I have no complaints at all. 100 Hours of Blissful Hydration

I have wanted to try the Clinique moisture surge 100hr for the longest time and now that I have I will never be without it. Having combination skin I have large pores on my nose, sometimes breakout on my chin or jaw and can get dry on my forehead upper cheeks and sides of nose. I have never found a moisturiser that ticks all of the boxes until I discovered this. Beautifully packaged, this 50ml cream is peachy pale pink that you can see through the clear glass jar with silver lid. It has a plastic cover over the cream/under the lid which I think is great for freshness. Amazing product but worst packaging in cosmetics history

I loooooove this face cream for my sensitive skin as a part of my routine. It works descent even as a standalone product for me and I can see noticeable difference between when I am using it and when I go without. I have had ZERO breakouts with it so far which is saying a lot. What I absolutely HATE and DESPISE about this product is the container. Not only is Clinique totally on the hook for budget cutting corners with an open-top design rather than a closed air-tight pump for similarly priced products and brands, but the container and its lid are as slippery as black ice frozen over a slip-n-slide with some olive oil added on top for bad measure. I am not kidding when I say that they somehow managed to create a finish on this thing that is the likely one of the slipperiest substances known to mankind. I tried to contact the company about this but their message button on the support page is broken.

I have dry to dehydrated skin that is sensitive and reactive. I didn’t have any reaction to the product which is a big plus for me. It’s filled with glycerin which is something that you should always have in a moisturizer. My skin felt pretty plumped without the greasy-fill that some moisturizers high in hyaluronic acid have . I could not see any specific change in my skin since I did not have a full size product to try out. The moisturizer has a gel-like consistency which can suit nicely people with oily or acne skin. It’s not heavy on the skin and goes nicely under mineral sunscreen, and doesn’t pill. However, the moisturizer claims to be long-lasting hydration but for anyone with dry skin, this is not enough. Lightweight moisturizer for all skin types

I recieved this as a complimentary sample from Influenster. My review is based on my skin type (normal/dehydrated/acne-prone) and my usage (two days, morning and night). I used this product after my normal skincare routine. I used my Kate Somerville Goatmilk cleanser and a Rosewater toner. While the toner was still wet, I took an amount that covered my fingertip on my index finger and applied the moisturizer to my face, neck, and back of my hands. Once it was applied, my face first felt wet. It took about three minutes for my skin to fully absorb it. My skin felt cool, plump and hydrated; not tight, itchy, nor dry. Before applying, my skin felt tight and uncomfortable. After application, my skin felt much better. Reminder that Clinique's products are fragrance-free, so this would work well with sensitive/reactive skin. I didn't have a breakout with this product. For the record, I have bought, and will continue to buy, the rest of the Moisture line. It's probably my favorite from Clinique. I'm giving this producr a 4 out of 5 stars, as I'm comparing it to the rest of the Moisture line and I think the mist and serum are the stars of the line. This is good, works well, but I wasn't wowed. I would recommend this product to someone looking for a no-fuss moisturizer, who's skin is dehydrated and potentially sensitive. I do like this product, but I'm not feeling inclined to buy it due to what I'm currently using (and preferring at this time).

I am in my late twenties, with combination skin, and suffer from random acne breakouts (mask wearing, hormones, etc.), it’s also worth noting that I reside on the east coast of Canada, as our weather plays a fair sized part in my review. I struggle to find a moisturizer that gives me the feeling of being moisturized without being greasy. Normally, in the winter months, it’s damp and cold, so I opt for a heavier moisturizer (think Belif’s “bomb” line), and when I need something a bit lighter (but equally as quenching) I reach for something along the lines of PTR’s aqua cloud line. I’ve found a quality “summer” moisturizer in the Glow Recipe’s oil-free moisturizer, but the truth is it’s still not always enough for my dry areas (but excellent for my oily areas!) for all day wear. Now, with Clinique’s sample I was able to try every day for 7 days (not changing anything else in my skincare routine). This moisturizer is a lightweight gel, and it absorbs very, very quickly into the skin, there is no residue or shininess left behind, it’s almost a “matte” finish. Your skin feels silky smooth and looks great (opposite of the “high gloss” look of Glow’s moisturizer). This moisturizer didn’t break me out, and allowed me to layer products with ease (serums, sunscreen, etc.) and no piling, which was a great bonus. Where it fell short for me, was towards the end of the day (12hrs+) I could see some dry areas. My skin still felt silky smooth, but it didn’t have the hydration punch I was hoping for the length of time it claimed. I will be purchasing and adding it to my summer bag, as it is a quality moisturizer, but I have realistic expectations for the length of wear with the product now. If your skin is like mine, you should definitely try this!

Not for Me but Could Work For You

Although it didn’t quite hydrate my skin the way I had hoped it’s still a really nice moisturizer and I think it would be perfect for those of you that don’t have very dry skin. I should also note that the sample I received only lasted me 5 days and that was with me using it once in the morning and once before bed so twice daily. Perhaps had I continued using it I might have seen more of a difference in my skin. The moisturizer feels like a creamy gel, it covered my skin nicely and didn’t leave any residue, it made my skin feel soft. I can’t stand creams that have such a strong fragrance that you can smell it for hours afterwards. All that being said, it’s not a product I would purchase myself in the future. However, I would say if your on the fence about trying this you should still give it a try. Everyone’s skin is different and it might just be the miracle cream your searching for.
