Clinique- Moisture Surge 100H Hydrator I received this item recently as a complimentary Ulta deluxe sample and decided to give it a test drive in the harsh winter snow. I brought this along with me during a recent ski trip to test this out. I normally use the Dramatically Different Moisturizing Lotion as part of the 3 step Clinique Skincare System, but I decided to swap this lighter lotion with the 100H Moisture Surge. It was perfect for the dry winter winds, kept my skin protected and hydrated despite the weather. I liked that the product was fragrance and dye free like other Clinique products and did not irritate my skin. No sticky residue or oiliness in this lotion. Caused white flaky and painful irritation on face and eyelid

Unfortunately!! I want to love this product since the first and second use were great BUT it irritated my skin so badly I had to use a cortison cream to fix the damage! my face specially around my mouth and my eye lids have developped white flaky skin that has become painfull and red. Results with Acne

I have really bad acne, looking for products that will actually work for me is worrying because I have no clue how my skin will react and I know there's a LOT of people in the same boat so here is my honest review. I've been using the Clinique face wash for a while with no problems but nothing cleared up. I can't recommend this enough, I feel like if i had super clear skin it would just look like glass skin, I'm on my way to buy this along with the new spf version of this to try it out too. I hope this helps someone out there with the same problem!

So good for severely dry skin!

I've tried all kinds of gel moisturizers, oils, creams, hyaluronic acid, and even straight petroleum to help my dry skin. I call it "lizard skin" because I have this very plasticky top layer of skin that doesn't absorb any moisture. I have to scrub it hard to get it off, and then I feel like I've got a sunburn. Whenever I use makeup, I still see the dry patches and uneven texture. I got this clinique for my Ulta birthday gift, and WOW. It actually absorbs into that top layer and below it, and my skin feels soft and plump again. It does leave a slightly tacky/sticky texture, but for foundation or CC cream, it works as the perfect primer. It's fragrance free and very low scent. The only thing I smell are the actual ingredients, and that's a huge plus. I think all of the other things — the glycerin, the aloe ferment, provide enough water to mitigate any drying effects…. Up to a point. But in mountain desert air, it isn’t enough.With this in mind, I applied it in a humid room after a shower. It was awesome, my face was hydrated all day against the desert air. That night, I spritzed my face with water before and after applying, and it was great.The next day, after washing my face, I tried it with the TJs rosewater mist before and after applying. Even more awesome!So — yeah. Amazing moisturizer in humid-moderate climates. But it needs a little boost in ultra-dry areas.

It was also the perfect level of hydration for my oily/combination skin type. But within days I started experiencing red bumps on my cheeks and forehead, which is when I finally decided to take a look at the ingredients list and spotted 'Dimethicone' sitting near the top (I really should've checked that first!). If your skin tolerates silicones - by all means give it a try. Unfortunately my skin hates any type of silicone so will have to pass this on to someone else. ~ My Top 5 Beauty Must-Have list ~1.
