Another legendary Coleman product!

I’ve always loved the Coleman products and this tent did not disappoint. Was able to put up the tent solo, but was nice to have a friend assist with the weatherproof cover. First night out the bag was challenged by winds and heavy rain; pleasantly surprised to no water, even with the floor ventilation open. Stoked with the extra thick, durable flooring, and the large overhangs over both doorways. The lights were dim enough to not attract every flying bug into the tent, but well enough lit we could easily see what we were doing. Loved the high ceiling height, and how stable and secure it felt.Very happy with this purchase! Was definitely a topic of discussion at camp, and would recommend to anyone considering! xx

Great tent. It's dark inside which is great if you have toddlers as it makes them sleep in a little longer in the mornings. We encountered a bit of rain and some very windy nights on our trip and we had zero issues with any rain getting into our tent and the structure stayed nice and sturdy the whole time. I saw some other reviews where people had issues with the wind but we had none at all. I wouldn't call this tent a two bedroom tent - the room divider is just a curtain that you have to hang up to "separate" the rooms. This wasn't an issue for us though as we liked having the one massive room. The door feature makes it easy to get in and out of the tent but the zip was annoying to zip and unzip - it would get stuck a lot. But other than that, this tent was great. ... MoreGreat tent. Highly recommend, would buy again. 10/10

So we upgraded our tent for this year camping trip at Rapid Bay, SA. 32 week pregnant wife didn’t want to put up for a sauna as a tent and didn’t want to spend 45 minutes setting up our old 10 man tent. So off I went to look at what we could do to make our life easier. Dark out tent and instant up!? Alright. I’m sceptical but sold.We tested out the tent in the front yard before going away, took us 5 minutes to figure it out and the wife was happy.Extended weekend trip (4 nights) came and off we went camping. Took us 20ish minutes to fully set up the tent with guy ropes and pegs (harder ground than expected but would ALWAYS recommend having spare / bigger tent pegs for different grounds).First 48 hours of pure sun and the tent was absolutely fantastic. Kept the heat out and the light addition just made our lives so much easier (the dogs were stoked they didn’t have to sweat all night too). Now comes the real review. After 48 hours at rapid bay, we got hit with unexpected 70kms winds / gust. I was fully expecting our brand new, lovey tent to just belong to the wind. It stood up against 70kms wind for over 24 hours, no tears, no rips, and I didn’t even have all the guy ropes secured properly, as I ran out of tent pegs.My ONLY issue with the tent is how easily the tent can get caught in the zipper when closing / opening but holy moly that’s my only issue. I would buy this tent 10 times over. Simply because it got us through an absolute ripper of weather.Just remember to always take the time to set your tent up properly, for the unexpected! But if you’re looking for a family tent with all the bells and whistles, grab this!!

Love Love Love This Tent

We initially bought the 4P tent for the two of us but after one use we decided to get the 6P just because our air mattress is huge and we wanted more space to walk around. The 6P is perfect. The kids now inherited the 4P but they needed a new tent anyway. These instant up tents really are just that easy and instant, I am not a huge fan of putting up tents so these get a big big tick from me. But the biggest tick is the darkness!!! It really is amazing. The sun is completely up but it is dark in the tent, i love it as i love my sleep and it needs to be dark for me to sleep.Im trying to think of some faults.... perhaps some more pockets would be good on the inside for my glasses etc but in all honesty, these tents are brilliant.

Love this tent

I was originally going to go with the 4p version but got the 6 as it was on sale for only $50 more and I do sometimes share my tent with a friend. Glad I switched, as I’m loving the space and one of my favourite features is having a back door. The way the tent slopes from the top means that on a warm, still night I can tuck away the fly and the back door and just have the mesh and lie on my sleeping mat and look at the stars. The ventilation is also brilliant - very much appreciated by this menopausal camper. With everything zipped up it’s nice and dark and the lighting is a nice feature. It is heavy to haul out of the car but pretty easy and quick to set up by myself and I find the vestibule is a good usable space for storing cooking gear - it fits a folding table ... MoreI was originally going to go with the 4p version but got the 6 as it was on sale for only $50 more and I do sometimes share my tent with a friend. And you could even make coffee in the rain and stay dry. Overall very pleased with my purchase.

Spacious and very dark, perfect family tent
6 January 2023

Replacement for a previous traditional family tent with fibreglass arch poles. This tent goes up in a jiffy and comes down just as fast, and could literally be done by one confident adult. The tent is extremely spacious and can fit a full queen size mattress in each of two compartments. The LED light is very good and works perfectly with a battery pack. The block out fabric makes the interior of the tent dark and the kids slept til 9am despite early sunrise!Recommend watching a video and practising before you go. Also note that Instant Up tents are very large when packed (too large to fit across the boot of a small car).Pegs are somewhat flimsy but are easily replaced.

Surpassed expectations

Love this tent! Recently went on a 6 day camping trip from Brisbane to Geelong with my wife and 3 year old. I needed a tent that would be simple enough to set up without too much help and it did that easily. I sent up and took down this tent each day by myself without breaking a sweat. It did help to have a hand when it was a bit windy but besides that it was as simple as it gets. Certainly more than enough room for the 3 of us however was very good to have room for bags. The darkroom feature is incredible and even let us sleep in with our 3yo who usually wakes up at 5. The built in lights worked a charm as well, you could read a book without struggle. As with all new tent, the supplied pegs were pathetic (luckily I brought some big one). I seriously have zero ... MoreLove this tent! Terrible design
27 January 2023

I'd just bought this tent and went to set up in my backyard. Two hours later I couldn't get it stabilised enough not to collapse in on itself. Up instant upright poles as part of the main frame are not supported enough. Particularly the front entry area. You are relying on the fly to pull out far and taunt enough to support the poles. Yet they still sag inwards with the full fly extended and pegged. Again, the front entry area saggs in on itself and the poles won't pull out to their supposed fullest capacity. When you stand inside the tent, all poles are tended to fall inwards. This is a terribly designed tent. I've bought Coleman tents for years and have trusted them. Even with improvisation, I could not pitch this tent to stand upright and not sage inward. The front room entry area need more structural support. Relying on the tent fly which only velcros in three places on each pole does nothing to pull out the poles outward to its fullest capacity. Taking it back for a full refund.

Worst tent ever
30 April 2023

We bought the tent just over 2 years agoThe fabric started deteriorating a year into it, which my friend pointed out and I should have listened to take it backBut I thought it was just a small area and wasn’t too concernedNot the fabric has deteriorated patches (where it is not a clock out anymore) over the entire tent and the pop up buttons don’t pop up anymore so when I camped last time I had to taper the tent up to hold and it collapsed at least 5 times. It can’t handle wind.Needless to say we only used the tent 5times this entire time and most of the time in great conditions for 2 day campingOver all supremely disappointing experience as we though we were buying quality tent…

You will get soaking wet
29 August 2022

I have used this tent 4 times this winter and 4 times I woke up soaking wet and cold and a freezing head. I actually thought I had a fever each time until I woke up and realised that I was just wet with condensation and frozen! My doona, my pillows, every piece of clothing in the tent was saturated. There was a river of water on every piece of fabric. The material is obviously is not breathable and is not waterproof. Also the stupidity of the internal window panels unzipping downwards means that the window material is just hanging down into the tent with no tie up straps! So dumb. I'm so angry at myself for buying it.
